Chapter 182 The Disgusting Umbridge

Dumbledore must have seen a lot of them and was not surprised by the internal structure of Dementors.

He tapped the inside of the dementor a few more times with his wand, and the gray filaments quickly retreated away.

Only then did Ethan realize that where the filament faded away, something like a piece of glass was exposed.

"It's this Ethan, it's this thing that caused the dementors to lose control," Dumbledore pointed at the weird piece of glass with his wand and said to Ethan.

Ethan took two steps forward and looked inside carefully. The strange piece of glass could even reflect Ethan's face like a mirror.

Ethan's face was distorted as shown on the glass on the Dementor's chest.

Even though Ethan has experienced both worlds and is well-informed, he has never seen anything so weird.

"I can't understand this thing. It's too strange." Ethan said to Dumbledore.

Dumbledore was a little disappointed. He originally hoped that Ethan could provide some clues about this weird thing, but unfortunately Ethan didn't know anything about this thing.

"I think we have to put this matter aside for now." Dumbledore said calmly.

Dumbledore had enough trouble with Voldemort, and he didn't have the energy to spend too much time on other things.

Dumbledore waved his wand, and the floating dementor floated back into the cage, and the door of the cage closed automatically.

Only the dementor was left lying stiffly on the ground, waiting hard for the effect of the petrification spell to wear off so that he could regain his freedom.

After dealing with the dementors, Dumbledore took Ethan out of the separated area and closed the curtain again.

Now all the dementors have been driven back to Azkaban by Dumbledore.

First, it is impossible for the Dementors who caused such a big fuss to let their disciples stay in the school.

Secondly, Dumbledore now also knows the truth about the Sirius Black incident, and he knows that Harry is not in danger at the moment.

After talking with Dumbledore for a while about how to comfort injured students and their parents, Ethan said goodbye to Dumbledore.

Using the fireplace in the principal's office to reach the Ministry of Magic, Ethan attracted a lot of people's attention as soon as he arrived at the Ministry of Magic.

Several parents of students who worked in the Ministry of Magic and whose children attended Hogwarts enthusiastically stepped forward to thank Ethan.

Because of the Daily Prophet's description, many people now regard Ethan as a great hero.

After dealing with waves of over-enthusiastic parents, Ethan finally got on the elevator.

Ethan took the elevator and quickly reached the basement floor of the Ministry of Magic, the Office of the Minister of Magic, the Logistics Office and the Auditorium.

Finally, Ethan's ears were freed, and those overly enthusiastic thanks finally disappeared. The entire underground level was silent, without any sound.

Ethan walked towards the minister's office. As the distance got closer, Ethan heard a sharp female voice coming from behind the door.

"Lila! Can you stop being so clumsy? This is a critical period. If you do something stupid, I won't let you go!"

Ethan frowned when he heard the shrill, unpleasant female voice. He recognized the owner of the voice, Dolores Umbridge, Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Magic.

Umbridge is a mean, rigid, cunning, vicious and cruel person. She is very keen on currying favor with her superiors, and then bullies her subordinates, especially the interns who have just arrived.

When she first became the leader of the Magical Crisis Response Team, Umbridge tried to have a relationship with Ethan several times, but was rejected by Ethan.

Later, Umbridge, who was interested, never looked for him again, and the two never had anything to do with each other.

It was obvious that Umbridge was now finding fault with the interns again. From Umbridge's words, Ethan recognized that she was reprimanding a Hufflepuff who had just come to the Ministry of Magic for less than two months as an intern. Lila, the strange Muggle-born student.

Ethan didn't want to hear Umbridge's voice anymore, so he knocked on the office door several times, trying to interrupt their conversation.

But Umbridge seemed to be too immersed in teaching the intern a lesson, and she didn't seem to hear the knock on the door. She still scolded poor Lila in high spirits.

Ethan had no choice but to knock on the door hard twice. This finally caught Umbridge's attention, and her voice stopped abruptly.

"Who is it? Come in!" Umbridge said.

Ethan pushed the door open and looked inside. Sure enough, it was Umbridge training that poor Lila, with a pile of documents scattered between the two.

At this time, poor Lila's eyes were red from being scolded, and she was about to cry.

"Mr. Ethan! It's you!" Umbridge greeted Ethan with her high, high-pitched, breathy voice, like a little girl's voice.

Umbridge is short and fat, with short curly ash-brown hair and a very ugly big pink bow hairpin.

She was wearing a fluffy pink cardigan that was very inappropriate for her age.

Umbridge has a wide, saggy face with a large mouth that droops downward. Her eyes are big and round, slightly bulging outward, and she looks like a toad about to eat a fly.

"Mr. Ethan, what can I do for you?" Umbridge asked Ethan in her weird little girl voice.

"I came to see Minister Fudge. It seems she is not here." Ethan said to Umbridge coldly.

"What a pity!" Umbridge put on a strange expression, "Minister Fudge is not feeling well. He has taken leave and will not be at the Ministry of Magic for the past two days."

Ethan frowned. He didn't expect Fudge's character to be so fragile. He thought that Fudge would at least do his final work in the Ministry of Magic even if he failed.

What Ethan didn't expect was that Fudge could no longer accept such a heavy blow and chose to stay at home, not daring to face the reality.

"What a pity, then I'll leave first." Ethan said to Umbridge expressionlessly.

"No problem Mr. Ethan," Umbridge said. "If I see Minister Fudge, I will definitely tell him that you came to see him."

Ethan nodded, said thank you and was about to leave, but then his eyes came into contact with Lila, who was still standing there with her head lowered.

Obviously if she left like this, poor Lila would have to continue to be tortured by Umbridge.

Ethan thought for a moment and then said; "Lila, do you have a spare key to my office? My key can't be found!"

"Yes, yes!" Lila replied hurriedly, subconsciously wanting to help Ethan find a spare key.

But then she remembered that she was being scolded by Umbridge. She stopped and glanced at Umbridge timidly.

Umbridge made a dissatisfied sound through her nose and said, "Go help Mr. Ethan first!"

Lila hurriedly packed up the documents scattered on the ground as if she had been granted amnesty, and followed Ethan out of the minister's office.

"Mr. Ethan, I will find the keys for you right now." Lila put the file under her arm, took out a large bunch of keys from her waist with difficulty, and started rummaging through it.

"No, I haven't lost my key." Ethan said gently.

Lila looked at Ethan in surprise, not understanding what was going on.

"I did this to save you from Umbridge." Ethan explained to Lila.

"Don't take her words to heart, and there is no need to feel sorry for this kind of person." Ethan comforted Lila.

Hearing Ethan's words, Lila's eyes quickly turned red, and she tried hard not to cry.

Lila cried and said thank you to Ethan, and then bowed deeply to Ethan.

Then Lila hugged the pile of documents with her back to Ethan and left quickly while wiping her tears.
