Two words 'oh no '

Then after that I fainted which was very dramatic by the way,

I woke up feeling very dizzy and wasted like I've been drunk

I look around my surroundings and realized I was still at school, to be more precise in my classroom where I fainted 'those cheeky peculiar stupid beings why did they leave me here?! ' I told myself

Wait. Could it be that those two were never really here? And it was all my thoughts? "Oh she's awake now Cross "my eyes came wide the moment I heard someone spoke assuming it's Luke the dark haired fox spirit

"Yay!! Oh what joy! "Footsteps suddenly came sounding as if someone was running, I turn around to see Luke sitting at the window and Cross running towards me happily

"Why are you guys here? "I quickly asked

Cross stopped from running towards me and faced Luke "why are we here you ask? "Luke replied angrily

"Uh yeah why? "

He closed his eyes trying his best to reply calmly "you really have no idea how much it cost us that night you left "he replied

"Yeah princess!!! Luke had to answer to everyone who were very angry at him "Cross inserted

"Also it's such a careless thing and would be very rare to occur on Luke's watch, it was supposed to be a very holy ceremony and yet the princess herself was out running away! "Cross added making me feel bad for what I did

Somehow I felt so guilty but then again why should I be? I mean I'm the victim here I was being spirited away!

"Why did you ran away when I clearly said to stay? " Luke asked his eyes calm but looking so dark

"I never intended to stay in the first place. You forced me to stay! " I argued

"I never wanted to force anything on you but I had to all because of all people who are more deserving than you are it was you who had to be chosen " Luke snapped and I felt as if there was more to what he just said. Something more personal than just a statement

"I was never chosen. You guys took me as if I was being spirited away! "

"You were never spirited away. You were the one who came to us remember? You went to where our castle was located" this time, it was Cross' turn to reply and I realized he was right. I went there in search because of the stange letter I've read which I thought was a prank made by my best friend-slash-neighbor.

"Yeah you're right. I'm sorry Luke I might've went a little off right there" I said apologizing to our argument earlier and he just brushed it off by turning his back on me and sitting down to a chair near him. It was then that I noticed something I should've noticed a long time ago. They look human, both their animal ears and tails were gone.

"Where are both your tails and ears? "I asked being unable to contain my curiosity

"Well, Luke and I had to disguise ourselves as humans to avoid unwanted attention and in addition to it, it'll only cause ruckus which must be avoided at all cost" Cross explained and I glanced over to Luke who was still of course pissed off over something, not even daring to look at me.

"So why are you guys here anyway? " I asked again

"we are stuck with you right now so whether you like it or not you've got no choice " Luke replied still not facing me. What is he? Some kind of a spoiled kid getting all grumpy over a toy he wasn't given? What a drag

"Why? "

"Because obviously you're our next princess and even though I'm against the idea of having to serve you and being your vassal I've got no choice since you were the one chosen and I don't get to complain to the gods " Luke said standing up and approaching me, his stare as deadly as a venom.

"That's preposterous "I blurted

"Whatever you say" Luke was now in front of me. So close yet so far.

"Don't try and run away from us ever again because I'm warning you, you won't like me when I'm angry" his face getting closer to mine, eyes locked to me

"I don't even like you when you're not angry, what more when you are? " I replied locking eyes with him or at least I thought I was since I looked away the moment he raised an eye brow

"See you around school "was the last thing he said before disappearing from the room

"Yay! We'll be fighting monsters with you now" was what Cross said before leaving

What did I just put myself in?
