World Of Warcraft: Altered Time

Chapter 10 - The Storm! March 3, 6:57 A.M. (Not Edited)

"Ok we are all set up." Disa said to the Demoness. She stared at her scrutingly to figure out what the woman was thinking. "All the areas are marked for building. You can start now." Waving her hands in front the womans face she started to get angry. "Hey You!"

"Oh, sorry about that. And it is not you! I have a name." The demoness was upset but then rembered she tell anyone her name despite Azul asking for it before. Thinking herself smart ahe told the little goblin. "You can call me Demona. Azul likes that name from his.. memories"

"Right... of course he does." Disa said skeptic. "So are you gonna get started yet?"

"Yes. Why the rush?" Demona said as she start directing her magic.

"Storms coming. All ways bad things in storms. Nothing ever good." Disa said shaking her head. "The sooner the buildings start, the sooner we can leave." Checking everything working away she sat on the ground in amazement. "Such strange magicks."

"It is mostly Azul. And Ks." Demona said smirking. "I am really enjoying this life now. You were right about the storm. It is already here." Pointing they both watched as the clouds rolled in. A powerful magic inside them.

"We should leave!" Disa said hopping up and scurrying in the other direction. Demona scooped her up and took flight away. Disa was more scared of the storm than the flight.

A few hours later the two returned. The place was still under the effects of building. The magical storm only increased the properties of the places. But it also caused the build time to take longer.

"Glad everything is ok." Disa said as she walked along the shore. She picked up a few scraps of wood. "Looks like a ship was involved somewhere."

"Yeah you are right. An Alliance ship at that." Demona said as matter of fact.

"How are you certain?" Disa asked.

"Beacause I am looking at a few Alliance soldiers floating in the water." Demona said pointing at the water.

"Ehhh!" Disa looked over. "Go help!"

"You go help." Demona folder her arms and just stood there. "We are not the Alliance. Or really the Horde for that matter. Nothing good can come from "me" helping them. Why dont you go?" Disa's ears dropped down love as well as her shoulders. "Hahh you cant swim. Can you?"

"I can swim! I just hate the ocean!" Disa screamed. "Please go help them. I am begging you!"

Demona stared at the litte woman for a moment. "Fine, but one say I am going to ask for your help. You better return the favor." Walking pass she touched Disa on her head, taking the fear she felt about the water for fuel. Disa hated the ocean but was way more afraid of it.

Stopping at the shore, Demona did not get close enough for the water to touch her. Flapping her silk like bat wings, she flew about a few feet off the ground. Black energy dr.a.p.ed off her finger tips as rope like appendages.

"Fwoosh," they shot out to sea grabbing the floating soldiers. One by one she threw them onto the embankment. Not gently in the least.

"All yours." Demona said.

"Thanks." Disa said sheepishly. Checking them over one by one, she found most were just unconscious. Only three were dead. "Those three are dead."

"I know." Looking back out to sea, she saw some crates floating. 'Score!' Sending the tendrils backout, she pulled them ashore as well. When Disa wasn't looking she send them away into the inventory provided by Ks. 'This will definitely help the city. What should I ask for as a reward?'

"You really arent going to help treat them are you?" Disa asked staring at the demoness. "They could really use it."

"I will pass. Some are wearing holy items. I rather not hurt myself." Demona was watching as the soldiers that were sent to protect them had removed all the weapons from the Alliance members.

One soldier put his hand in the air, a glowing white light passed over the passed out soldiers. In a few seconds it died as the soldiers woke up.

"Ughh, where are we?" A soldier asked. He looked around and saw his country men in various states. Seeing the goblin he reached for his weapon. "My weapons!?" Shocked he looked around for something to grab. Seeing a wooden plank he grabbed it and backed up slowly to another soldier.

"Easy!" Disa said backing up as well. "We were just trying to help."

"That is not true." Demona said matter of fact. She pointed at Disa. "She was trying to help you. I did not want to. I rather let you all drown for good reason. They are soldiers here to protect us." The soldiers stood there weapons drawn but made no move to get closer.

"Stop Daius!" A soldier more decorated than the others said. He walked over and bowed towards Disa. "My apologies the storm has my men rattled. We ask only for a chance to get our bearings."

"You..you have it." Disa said hesitant.

"Thank you." The obvious leader said. "May we have our weapons?" He watched Disa who looked to Demona.

"You may not. They also will not be return to you." Demona looked at the leader and smiled. "Even if you leave they will not be returned. Consider it your payment for pulling you out of the water and getting healed." The leader nodded his head.

For the next hour the soldiers checked the wreckage. Seeing none of the crates, they were skeptical about were it went. They looked at the soldiers and then noticed the sand showed no footprints. Seeing as the storm was picking up they realised parts could still be out at sea.

The leader who identified himself as Jerard walked up to Disa. "Is there anyway for us to remain nearby? We would appreciate the chance to wait for others of the crew that make it to shore."

"I would have to check." Disa said unsure of herself. Ks informed of the rules telepathically. "You may remain nearby. Only if your remain under watch. Basically if I or she stays. I will stay till before the second stom comes."

"I am going... to search that way down the shore" Demona said before walking off. Disa shrugged to the Alliance members before pulling out a notepad and writing up some logistics. She believed a nice lab for aquatic engineering would be nice over here. The Alliance soldiers started spreading out. The Bloodelf guards kept watch on them.

Demona made it the Northwest area of the island. Spending some more magic into Ks, she was allowed to make a guard outpost. It finished in a matter of minutes.

"What wonderful magic!" Demona was ecstatic. Only trouble she found, was that she couldn't build higher tier places. Limited to only low tier. "Arghh, I want more access."

(Connecting to Azul..)

"Ohhh, that's more like it!"

(Yes, Place your hand on the pedestal to talk.)

"Blasted contraption." Placing her hand she felt the connection. Mentally she was able to see Azul in a way. He was just standing there looking back at her. "I want more access to the buildings."

"That is nice. I want a valley of gold. Let us see who gets what first." Azul just looked at her plainly. "Hold a moment." Checking with Ks he found out the builds she was sent to do were not done yet. "The buildings are not finished yet so no. When they are finished call back."

"They are building that should be good enough!" Demona said exasperated.

(Finished this first or go and help clear the area. ASk Ks for work if you are bored. Stay safe. I have some work I need to finish.)

"fine but I want a better reward then." Feeling it a just reward Demona finished the call. Stepping back she stared at the weird device. "How convenient. Less draining than telepathy. What about this work from Ks?" As soon as she mentioned it the magical message appeared.

(Southwest needs to be cleared of Murloc infestation. Azul wishes for the complete death of the creatures. Whoever completes will receive an additional bonus as well a favor from the Lord of the city.)

(Clearing of the area will result in resource increase as well as an increase in local wildlife.)

"Ohh, bonus. I am so there!" Walking away Demona moved towards Disa. Stopping right behind her she was amazed at the little goblin's lack of concern. Then she noticed the little mechanical creature in her backpack. Its little eyes trained on her. 'So not that carefree. I am glad the Soldiers are close by as well. Wait there are more of them how?' She spotted the Guard Tower not too far away from Disa. Staring at it her eyes went wide.

(Guard Tower: Bolster's Abilities and stats by 5% of allies. 10% to Disa 8% to Demona)

'Why does she have better than me?'

(Dame Disa provided architectural designs. Lady Demona provided magic energy. Merits and donations boost amount of benefits able to be obtained.)

(City Rule: The harder you work the more benefits you personally receive. Slackers will be left to die.)

'How demonic... I am really enjoying this place more and more. Time to receive more benefits!' Sprouting her wings Demona flew to the NorthWest immediately. She no longer cared about the Alliance Soldiers knowing what kind of creature she happened to be.

Arriving in a few hours, Demona landed. She took a few minutes to think of a plan and what needed to be done exactly. Fortunately Ks sent a more detail quest.

(Kill the creatures and obtain the cargo. Capture any and all Wretched for bonus. Collect corpse of the fallen. If the creatures around the dock can be killed in one go without running a Guard Tower can be placed for free.)

"Huff.. huff," Demona had trouble calming herself down as her breathing increased. Her hands kite up in black fire as she blasted every Murloc in her way.

"Raaa," a Murloc started to say before a fire blast blew out the mouth. Its body fell limp with a smell of roasted fish in the air.

"Tchup," a spear sailed through the air attempting to pin Demona down. With a wave of her body it landed harmlessly to the side. Picking it up she threw it back killing the would be assailant. "Tchup," the body sailed into the water from the force of the throw. Running forward she realised her Demonic Strength would ne better to use than her magic. That would just be a waste of mana. Seeing the message from Ks she became ecstatic.

(Kill at least 25 Murlocs only using melee to unlock special class.)

"Ohhh I love special occasions things!" Demona voice came out in a pleasant coo. Running forwarward she speared a Murloc in the gut and ripped out its spine. With the bones in her hand she swung at the two th that tried to get the drop on her. "Come faster! I need to kill you quicker!"

A red aura came over Demona as she started to give into bloodl.u.s.t through Melee. If anyone was present they would have saw the symbol of two imposed spears above head appear. With each fell enemy it took in some of there blood and magic. As the assault continue Demona had a genuine smile on her face. She couldn't remember feeling so charged. So alive!

Four hours later it was done. The entire area was cleared of Murlocs. She even cleared to the water in her battle crazed state. A few locals of Silvermoon saw her but went on their way. Especially after they saw a patrol of warriors pass by in the area. Accompanied by them a few civilians with nets and a cage cart. In the cage several Wretched were inside trying to break free.

"Demona!" Disa said arriving by the woman who sat in the water just breathing heavily. Stepping back she scrunched her face. A powerful scent was coming Demona that caused her heart to start beating faster and faster. "What magic is this?!"

(Blessing of the Warrior Goddess Bane)

(Increased combat prowess and health regeneration of citizens.)

"Ahhh! That was exhilarating!" Demona m.o.a.n.e.d as a aura of blood washed over her. When it finally dissapeared her clothing had changed. She now had a full set of heavy armor by the looks of it. Completed with spikes on left forearm that retracted. On the gauntlet edge another set of spikes could be deployed. The greaves looked sturdy and showed no openings around of flesh. Bending her knees she found no resistance or any hindrance to physical abilities or magic flow. "I could get use to melee!"

"Nice armor." Disa said wrly. "Soo you have been killing mobs this entire time I take it? That's all well and good and all, but I need your help with something."

"Thanks, I have been killing Murlocs. I will come help you in a moment. Let me pick up all the.." Demona voice stopped when she saw the different civilians and soldiers grabbing the gear. She was going to yell but stopped when she realised Ks would have kept count of what was done by her and what was done by the others. "Fine let's go." Retracting her armor, she picked Disa up. "Where to?"

"Ah!" Disa exclaimed startled. " We are just going to kill the creatures on the boat across the way. Our guards in this area can't handle it. So far they can keep the place secured with the few civilians that made it out this way. If the Wretches can be transported back to the city everything will be fine for manpower in this area I think." The little goblin also wanted Demona to be close by to her. She felt a few Alliance soldiers give her a weird look once or twice. Not Jerard though. He remained polite as he worried for the others that were missing. "By the way.. what happened to the Alliance soldiers that dropped on the shore that you said were dead?"

"Huh, Ks absorbed them." Demona's voice came out as a matter of fact. "There skills and bodies resources will go towards making the area better. In fact..." Demona landed back at her take off point. Using her magic she created a Human barracks as well as 10 huts for the area. As well as a dock defense for the area. The place wouldn't be as good as the area furthur up north, but it would be a nice village and transport location.

The spells started to weave and create what was needed. It would be a while before it was ready. Demona was just as surprised as Disa when the civilians and soldiers came over and decided to wait.

By weird instinct Demona pumped her mana directly into a hut draining a good chunk of her magic. The build finished instantly. 6 females walked into the hut. Coming out with a table and racks they started to get set up for debunking and the like.. Two males grabbed the materials from the cart next. It was the scorched Murlocs. Slowly they started to take apart the bodies and placed some of the guts into buckets. One of the civilians would then pick a bucket up and bring it to another table were the guts were separated into different stacks.

What looked to be a mage lifted a set of guts into the air with magic. Slowly magic would leave the guts and turn just to regular meat. A trace amount of Fel energy would go to the side where another female civilian would harness it into a container. The process looked the hardest as she strained with the work. Slowly above her head the name started to flicker. Right as she contained the energy it focused. Exhausted the woman now sporting the name Cassidy walked to the side into a hut exhausted. Another civilian replaced her next and started the process.

"That is.. something.." Disa said. She no longer cared about the boat anymore as she watched this happen.

Feeling like she could do more, Demona walked over to the Guard tower that was behind and to the side of the huts. Drop another large dose of magic she created a "Cooler" according to Ks. A weird magic entered her that she ignored. She was actually tired. Deciding to head into the hut herself for a bit of a nap.

"Guess she is tired." Disa said looking over. When the Cooler was made some of the civilians grabbed the finished Murloc meat and brought it over to another mage that cleaned them before another civilian brought it to the cooler for storage. "I wanna know how that thing works!" Disa said excitedly running over to it. In less than a minute she was entranced with the item.

Disa had forgotten that a second storm was on the way. Hopefully the buildings will hold against it.

"Bwoom, bwoom" The guard Tower opened as another unit of soldiers and civilians walked out. Setting to work they started their tasks. The soldiers joined with the other group that patrolled the area.
