World Of Warcraft: Altered Time

Chapter 17 - Rage Fire Part 4

-Hours Later-

"Wargh!" Vladmir yelled choping the last Trogg down. His face a look of boredom, but his thoughts that of worry. His psyche didnt know how to be that of am Orc really. He settled on whatever floats his fancy at the time. He was worried about the Trogg. "Recover and Loot."

"At once," Korra said. She inserted herself as his 3rd when they moved as one. Koragg was Second and happy for it. However, when they broke into a smaller division she would be his second. While Koragg leads the other team with Kurjack the Stone Guard as his second. He trusted the other orcs, just not Whitehorn over the last few days. As well as Azul and Nocturne.

"My sister is very excited. Hope she learns the Warrior arts well from you Chief." Koragg walked over after giving his team instructions. Kurkjack supervised them closely. "I wish she would focus on her Shamanism more."

"Give it time. We all have our own paths to follow." Vladmir said neutrally. His eyes kept watching the outer area. The place they would move to next. For a brief instant, he saw an enemy appear on the map outskirts. "Chtk," he grunted. It was a signal for the outer area Shamans to hear.

"Tuff, tuff," two members shot off like a crossbow bolt. They ran for all they were worth out of the range of everyone else.

"Chtk!" Vladmir let out again as he sent his senses out around him. Two more Orcs shot off. "Above!" He yelled to the ones present.

The remaining group looked up to see Fel Orcs dropping down. Orcs so twisted in there making, one could not recognize them at first glance. Basically they were one step away from becoming demons fully.

"Waargh!" All together the group let out a battle cry composed of Spirit energy. It created a barrier that would stun the fel orcs as they pass through it.

"Rumble, rumble!" The stalactite shook free and fell on top of the dropping orcs. Vladmir releases a little more energy to thicken the barrier for a moment.

"Ping, ping" it did, however, break against the barrier.

"Weapons!" Kurjack yelled. The company switched to melee. "Healers!" those designated to do so casted instantly.

"Kill" Korra yelled. The battle began instantly. She was already on two Orcs that fell. They didnt have time to get up. "Rah!" She grunted as her war axe drove home into an orc's throat. "Rah," she grunted again swinging it forward through its chin and out its skull.

"Grrooa," a Fel orc g.r.o.a.n.e.d as it stood up nearby. Searching for an opponent, it found one that looked the tastiest. A scraggily orc and Korra. "Whoosh," it swung its monstrous hands at Korra. Its other hand at one of the scraggily others nearby.

"Sister!" Koragg yelled. He was getting ready to rush to her side but stopped himself. He would break formation and put everyone in danger doing so. He turned back to his task at hand and double the effort in the spell. 'You better not die here.'

"Splurt!" Korra moves just enough to keep from getting her organs ripped out. "Ugh," she wanted to clutch her side on instinct but left it alone. Her leather armor was completely gone on her left side. Stomping her feet she was face to face with the Fel orc as she swung down with all her might. "Waah!" A quick battle cry stunning it for two 3 seconds. The ax hitting against twisted flesh.

"Split," The Fel Orc was severed in two. "Ching," her axe hit the ground causing a small fissure. The other orc didnt try to break free as he was swinging at the other enemies. His feet only hampered a little. But not his hands.

Korra herself took a stabbing to her t.h.i.g.h. "Ah," she yelped in pain. Her muscles bulged as she attacked into of defending. She swung out, as she barreled through knocking down several fel orcs. "Huff, huff," ignoring the

"Woom," a wave of healing spells brought her health back and she was on the move again.

"Come at me!" Vladmir yelled as he smacked his c.h.e.s.t. The magic went out laced with his words causing the Fel orcs to turn from the others and come his way. "Whirlwind!"

"Woosh, woosh," the two axes spun in an arc as he moved about the battlefield like a spinning top. "Tap," he kicked off with his free foot into the air. "Swish," an axe with soaring at one of the Fel orcs that stood to close to a healer. "Swish," the other axe went flying next hitting the side of the cavern.

"Boom!" A piece of Fire Rock exploded causing a chain reaction to occur.

"Cover down!" Vladmir yelled. Each orc followed suit. As the explosions rang out, each orc crawled to another pooling there magic togethor. Little spirit cocoons enveloping as explosions started to hammer them. It lasts all of 43 seconds. "Rah!" Popping out, Vladmir was already on the move killing as he could. He made sure to step over any of the area his troops were.

"Ahh!" Kojack bursted up next. He was a storm of death as he moved to crush the nearest enemy.

-A few minutes later-

Everyone was resting as the four orcs who shot off came back. "Report," Vladmir said looking at them. "You first Yarukk." He addressed the littlest of the four.

"Yes, Chief. Oggleflint is on the move. He is heading to the other area. He will reach our trapps soon." The little orc smiled. "We can whittle there forces down more if we act now."

"Rrhh treachery." Another orc said. One of the warrior's there. Less Shaman. "I say we meet them in battle."

"No one asked you yet," Kurjack said with a little snarl. "We have so much on our hands that it would be impossible to come out of this unscathed. I prefer to return to the Horde, an report our findings with enough of us in tact. This will just be a pointless death if you charge in." He stepped back and looked to the others.

"Hmm, if I may," Korra said stepping forward. I propose an idea after we hear the others report." She looked to the skinniest of the group. Moloc a squirrely one.

Moloc the other in the team spoke. "We can not hit them as we are. We need to whittle them down. Especially with the Fire Rock all over. We need to take them all out and hamper them. If not, Azul and the others might get caught in a pinch."

"Your idea Korra." Her brother said.

"Right. I will take the reckless slap happy orcs. Like trogg breath there." Korra pointed to the one who spoke out against treachery tactics. "We hit them while they are retreating. Split the up some. The others hit them into the traps and the rest hit Oggleflint."

"Risky.." Koragg said. They didnt take long to get finished. "Let's do it."

"Alright go for it. I will go after Oggleflint with the others." Vladmir started moving. Three others with him. Koragg and two Searing Blade members that were restored to normal.

-3 hours later-

"We hit them hard an fast," Vladmir said to the others. "Buffs up." He looked back to see every recast on themselves. "Weapons ready." They recoated there weapons. "Let us do it."

Vladmir charges out. No war cry just his entire focus on speed as he went at Oggleflint. The other three went toward the other trogg. Oggleflint was caught unaware. He was completely tired and was going to pay for it.

"We will get them back for this." Oggleflint grumbled as he limped. A Trogg next to him nodded in agreement. "With the orcs decreasing in number it should be easy for us."

"Yes. That sounds eek."

"That sound eek? What are you going on about?" Oggleflint turned to see what happened. His eyes went wide to see Vladmir swing his axe at him. "Eek!" He ducked the swing by jumping to the side. "You stupid .." He jumped up from a swing by the next axe swing. "Eek, will you leave me.." He rolled on the ground from a spell fired from the back. "Let me finish a sentence!"

"Waah!!" Vladmir yelled in his face stunning him. "No." His axe arm came down but was stopped. A trogg had jumped in the way swinging its club. Vladmir was thrown back and skid across the ground. His feet getting caught against a rock. "Oh hoh, the guard dog I take it."

"Guard dog.. not even." The trogg said before vanishing. It then disappeared into shadows. "Just providing a little help." Vladmir looked up to see Oggleflint running away.

"Ghost Wolf!" Turning into the spectral creature he ran up to the fleeing trogg. He shot passed and cut in front of it. Turning back he swung instantly through the magical mist. "Stand there fight and die!" He used Taunt. It didnt work. Ogglflint kept running after ducking. "Of all the craziness."

Vladmir didnt chase after him this time. That would be stupid. He turned to jump the rest of the Troggs with the others. Oggleflint turned back and started to watch the fighting from the shadows.

Vladmir swung his axes as fast as his body would allow. A Trogg got in his way again. He noticed a weird black haze over its eyes. His skin crawled as he felt twisted spirit magic at play. Most likely that of Nether Magic.

"Groo," the Trogg did not speak as it fought back really. Just grunts and groans. It's club coming down faster than he could get away from. A black mist followed along as it smashed into Vladimir's exposed side.

"Crack!" Vladmir looked down to see his bindings broke. His body was fine but was now less secured. The Trogg came down to headbutt him. AS its head moved down he used a basic shaman spell. He hit him with Lighting Bolt directly to the face. "Bzzt," the spell didnt have much magic in it. But it served its purpose as the Trogg went off course a little. Swinging his axe to make a connection he allowed the momentum to cut into it.

"Schlk," the blade cut into its face and went out the side. "Groo," the Trogg g.r.o.a.n.e.d and swung up with its fist at an odd angle. The swing would have no power behind it with no weight added in. that's what Vladmir thought anyway.

"Pow!" He was sent flying into the air about 30 feet away. The nether magic had made the blow dangerously powerful. "Thump," He landed flat on his back. "Heee," he struggled to catch his breath as he sat up. Looking over he saw the Trogg's face was mutated and the cut was already healed. It moved sluggishly toward Vladmir. "Orooo," it bellowed loud enough to cause the place to shake.

"Ughh what a disgusting cry," Vladmir said getting up. He was ready to charge at but stopped. The trogg had tears coming down its face. 'What is going on now? Stupid me. Of course, this thing didnt want this.' THinking that he needed to catch Oggleflint, he hesitated. He felt a call from the spirits and gritted his teeth angrily. 'Fine. I will save the thing from the twisted life.' In a dash, he went at the Trogg.

"Oggleflint is over their chief!" Koragg yelled. TUrning to see them Trogg, Vladmir tried to maneuver towards it. He couldn't really do it with the pull from the magic in the area. The troggs were more of what he needed to deal with than Oggleflint apparently.

"Oooh," The Trogg was still fighting back. Albeit more slowly. "Help... me.. free.. me.." The other Troggs were mouthing the same thing now.

"Yeah trying to do that now." Vladmir swung the axe up cutting into its calf. It fell down just enough for him to finish it off. "May the spirits watch over you." His twin axes came down adorned in a burning glow as they bisected the creature's head. The Trogg fell down twitching before dying.

(Athena's Grace: Collect the souls of those twisted by the nether to increase Shamanism.)

"Well crap.. I need to catch Oggleflint!" Placing the remains in his inventory Vladmir shot off as fast as his legs would carry him.

-A few minutes later-

"We go to help the others. Oggleflint got away. I will not risk us against him. Leading us into an ambush or worse." Vladmir looked at everyone present. They agreed. He turned to see some exposed Fire Rock. "Lighting Bolt!" Firing the bole of lighting at it, they ran away before the chain reaction kicked in.

"Why are you smiling chief?" Koragg asked. He thought the man would be upset considering the prey got away.

"Nothing to worry about," Vladmir said. He looked at the status update and ran faster to meet with the others. It was short lived.

(Oggleflint has died. No loot due to death by terrain.)

(Soul has been taken by demon Zelemar.)

"Oh for the love of Pete," Vladmir mumbled. "Come on we have to use that blasted warp gate. There is trouble going on."

"Ok such as?" Korra said running up behind them. Every few feet she looked back making sure everyone was keeping up. "I feel like something bad is happening somewhere."

Everyone felt a chill run up their spines at that. They gave her all a quick glance. The units in the back sped up to keep pace with them. "Magic in the air has shifted." Vladmir took a deep breath and felt his heart quicken and felt a presence tug on his mind. "Some powerful twisted magic is at work at a different location. Close to where the others are. We are going to use that gateway we found last month. I can get us closer to Azul."

"But were we not saving that for when we head deeper into the chasm?" Koragg asked. "Unless we are bailing on the idea of finding out its secrets."

"Yes. We are going to have to." Vladmir was wondering why there was so much going on here. Even with all that, they found it was still different than the information he had. Counting in the changes to the world once he leaves, the RageFirse Chasm there might be worse. 'We need more resources. this trip has defintely taught us that.'
