World Of Warcraft: Altered Time

Chapter 26 - The Undead are a problem Part 2 Sapphire City

*Thump!* A body dropped down out of the air. It was Azul dressed as a Paladin. A look of anger on his face. His magic poured healing the forces quickly. He cast a dismissive glance to Azazel before moving forward.

"Stay here and defend the area. The Base here must be complete at all cost." The tome on his hip turned into a Warhammer. "No reinforcements available as of now. Something happened at the Dawnstar Spire that requires attention. As well as the shore bringing in an increase of "trade sh.i.p.s" from somewhere."

"I understand." Azazel nodded. He turned towards the base that was forming and focus on speeding up the process. Everyone else surrounding him to make sure he stood safe. 'Without Allies, we need a strong front. This location will give us that. If the city can be erected that is.'

The Dranei just kept a watch at the process after that. So much Fel energy in the area, it was like a strangling Death grip on reality. So much would need to be done to weaken the undead in the area.

Corona spared a glance from Azazel towards Azul. Her eyes shining in light for a moment. The light inside Azul was bright. Almost like a miniature sun. Swirls of Fel energy was swept inside the core the more he walked out.

The members of the Dawnblade did a double look at Azul. The resemblance to their former lord was uncanny. But enough features let them know it was not him in disguise or something. When they were healed by him just a few moments ago, the blood in their bodies thrummed.

"We will come with you! If you will have us that is." A member called out. He received just a nod as Azul was focused on what was coming. "We survive this... I have know idea what to make of this."

"We will know in time." Another former Dawnblade member said. "A chance to redeem ourselves, if he doesn't hold what happened against us that is."

It wasn't long before undead rose from the ground and attacked him. Azul was calling them forth, all to bring them to rest. As well as for the mana inside the creatures. Turning away, Corona went back to observing the process of the Base Building.

'Azazel gets a light like that, I am sure we can stop the undead and the Lich King.' Corona rested just a little. The intense fighting taking its toll on her finally. "The light will perceiver." Her words carried a bit of magic on them. Old magic that wanted to return through her.

A City-

Azul and the members from the Dawnblade fought till nothing was left to come back. Several sigils implanted in the ground to disrupt the Fel energy and prevent other undead from rising. The more they fought togthor, the more the members of the Dawnblade felt respect for him.

Not only did Azul display magical prowess, but he also displayed a strong martial ability. Fighting style that continued to grow as they fought. Switching more to only melee, as magic was strictly used to heal everyone and cure ailments.

As they marched back to the others, he got to know the men and women. As well as get them into his services. Considering his "lineage," it was not hard at all. Later an magical oath would take place to bind them to him.

Supringsly enough, their idea. Before Azul could talk wiht the others, he was needed elsewhere. So a quick farewell, he and the Dawnblade teleported out of there. Heading back to deal with the issue he left before.

"Sapphire City. That is what we are calling it. "Azazel stated calmly.

"I like it." Corona said. Stifling a yawn to prevent disrespect, she excused her self. "I am going to bed."

"What now?" Kyrus asked. The flame elf looked ever the inquisitive sort. Always asking what's next.

"Time to build the statues. A nature statue to help increase the return of the agriculture. And a statue of Athena and Apollo for the betterment of the area and magic."

(Athena Statue, 15% increase to law and order.)

(5% increase to Fel resistance and influence.)

(10% increase to Holy learning and aptitude. Residents born in area are most honest and orderly.)

(10% increase to all martial studies and warfare.)

(Constructing Barracks)

"That will have to do." Azazel said sitting on one of the thrones. All the guards were sent to go to sleep and rest. A few new members from the militia from the capital warped in to do guard duty. In the morning, they would help train the new residents. "Next one."

(Apollo statue 15% increase to those of the light.)

(25% increase to medicine and healing.)

(Parameters increase due to host removing the boost from music and poetry.)

(Due to Athena statue, bonus to martial studies of 5%)

"That's good. No need to waste the bonus on music and poetry. There is enough of that around already. Besides, bards or minstrels will come to the city with tales to speak of. As well as try to set up here. I will oblige them of course, just to help train my own spies and rogues."

"I see. I rather like poetry though." Kyrus mused. "We can still do those things though, right?"

"Huh? Yeah. It's not forbidden. I just didn't want to waste on it. People would just have their natural talent on display when doing those under the influence. Take it as not having inspiration for it."

"Oh, ok." Kyrus sighed in relief mentally. 'Haa, we really are just a military nation. It is up to me to keep the fun in the area.' His eyes burned with a passion to keep the place lively. He looked at the last statue next. "What about that one?"

(Gaia statue increases agriculture growth by 80%)

(Druids receive a 10% increase to learning with nature.)

"That seems low compared to the others."

"It is because we cant afford to rely solely on the capital. The land here is awful. The soil needs to be cleaned more than the actual Dead Scar does. It is helping with that by absorbing the Fel energy and changing it. That is why those are there as well."

"Huh, I didn't see those before." Looking at the Gargoyle statues, he was amazed by them. "Just sprouted up out of nowhere. I swear."

(Gargoyle statue: Absorb Fel energy to convert to mana. Guardians of the Goddess Gaia. They obey only her, as they protect nature.)

"Ok, nevermind." Kyrus felt scared. It was as if the statues were watching him. "I am going to head to bed now." He got up and haul tailed it out of there. The others heading with to rest for once.

"What's with him?" Azazel asked out loud. Then he realized no one was there. "Guess I am by myself then."

"No, you are not." Azazel looked up to see the Gaia statue looking at him. "Hello, great-grandson. Do not deny it with technicals. Your soul carries a piece of earth. And my granddaughter Athena helped conceived you."

"Well, when you put it that way..." Azazel shrugged. "What is it?"

"These lands.. I wish to help restore them. I need more instruments to do so. I need you to make more Night elves. As well as Satyrs.

"Right.. my resources are slim to none already. It will have to wait."

"Here." Gaia blew it on him and he received a small fortune of mana. "This will have to do for now. This land as well as the one you have planned. Is all I need. When you take the second.. I will move there with you. Well, not you. That one." Just like that, more mana went into Azazel and a Night elf appeared behind him.

"Hey, a little warning next time." The night elf said. "Well, at least I didnt have to pay for it this time. Whats your angle lady?"

"I want to save this place. The same as Athena. Except my d.e.s.i.r.es is because of the nature. If helping you gets me that.. so be it." Gaia then turned her head and went to sleep.

*Bwoom!* The warpstone activated.

"Well, that was unexpected." From the warpstone, Azul appeared. Members of the Dawnblade following out behind him. With a wave they were dismissed. He walked over to Azazel and shared mana with him, then he walked over to the night elf and did the same. "There, at least we are all updated on skills as best as we can."

"Heh, this went crazy real quick." Azazel smirked. "So what do we call the newbie?"

"I don't know. We weren't suppose to make a Night Elf for a while. As in months." Azul pondered a bit. "Maybe Thorn or something." Plans are thrown off to much. But then again, this area needs it more than others. So another fighting will help increase the change."

"We can do better than that." The Night Elf grumbled. His ears drooped a little. "How about Titan? Since you know at times Gaia is a Titan and she made me and all."

"That is just dumb enough to work." Azazel said. "But maybe something else though. You are not very intimidating. I got it, how about Sol?"

"Yeah Sol should work." Azul muttered. "Get that dumb look off your face, you are making us look bad."

"Hey, I am not dumb!" Sol said. "You are dumb."

"Pftt, you know you just called yourself dumb right. Heck, I did the same as well." Azul laughed. Surprising himself that it had been a while since he laughed. "We do dumb things. So what."

"How did everything go on your end? You haven't shared the info yet." Azazel asked. Finding it odd that was not shared a few moments ago.

"Ughh brutal." Azul said taking a seat. "Nice throne by the way." He sat on another to the side.

"Well, we have to show differences. The only ones who know we separated, are our people. If we act differently enough none will be the wiser. And if they do, it will mess with them enough that it won't matter anyway." Azazel shrugged.

They all looked at each other and blinked. Then they looked at the Athena statue. It seemed to be smiling a little.

"Well, at least the buffs work on us."

"Yeah but to different degrees. No matter." Azul waved it away. "No more seperation creation. Relationsh.i.p.s with the other races are just going.. well go slowly. Two for the Horde side and two on the Alliance side, go enough."

"So Sol, I just realized something. You are strictly a Druid and Hunter." Azazel said tapping the screen. The screen showing how different he was from the others. "Everything else is blacked out, class-wise."

"Haaa, Gaia's work. Well, we now have two that are bringing up our Hunter skills." Azul sighed at the display. "You and Vladimir anyway."

"I am bringing up Shaman and Paladin so there is that." Azazel said.

"That leaves me with all the others as well as those when I have to." Azul rubbed his chin. "But that is fine since there is no real need for the other classes just yet."

"True." Azazel tapped the display away. "Hey, you know the others are not listed as our family. Well, they are extended family. But Nagiana is not listed as my daughter. Demona and Nocturne are not listed as my fiance either."

"Because they are not duh." Sol said. "They don't view you as such and you don't view them that way either." He looked at Azazel as if he was an idiot. Then he realized he was calling himself an idiot. Which made him frown again. "Oh, brother."

"It is late. Sleep is better then wasting mana." Azul stood up. I will see you later for when we raid that place. Much later." He left the room heading to prepare the ritual for later. 'To have this place built so quickly, he emptied a lot of the mana out that was stored. Not counting the other cities and their growth, we are in trouble in a few months. THe answer lies in the dungeons for resources. But we are not ready just yet.'

"Hmm, yeah." Azazel said getting up. He looked at Sol, "As for you. Go and train a little. A few militia members should go with you since the barracks are finished. As well as a few Night elves hunters and druids. You will need your own group to fight with."

"Yeah yeah. Your right. Besides.. I need the level ups anyway. Gaia started me at level one. I wanna use this experience boosting to the best of my ability. I have 46 hours left." Sol started walking to the door. "Hey, it kind of sucks not feeling anything for them, doesn't it?"

"Yeah it does. Even Bane had Athena. I think it best we find our own people to care for. It will help keep the nightmares of Hell away." Azael said smiling sadly. "But then again, he has the worst of the nightmares."

"Yeah. I will head to the barracks and then get started." Sol left in a sprint. Azazel closed the door behind him.

*Thunk!* As soon as he did so, the statues came to life once more.

"Ah, what wonderful Champions you have." Gaia yawned. She was still sleepy afterall. "Mind giving me the one Athena?"

"Yes, he is. They are one person grandmother." She gave the other woman a hug and looked at Apollo. "Why did you make yourself available to him? Thought you didn't believe in my project?"

"I do not." Apollo tried to return the ability of music and poetry. His hands dropping to the side in frustration. To no luck. "I can't change it." He was slightly frustrated.

"Of course you can't. It is ultimately his decision." Athena smiled. "Bane insisted something needs to be in his control completely."

"Where is your other half?" Gaia asked in wonder.

"Watching over Demona." Athena said sadly. "She is hoping the little demon turned Mortal chooses correctly. I hope so as well."

"Oh with what?" Apollo asked.

"With the magic she found." Athena's eyes peered into the distance as she said that. "So far, she is keeping it at bay. But those sh.i.p.s that are trying to come into port, they are not good. Maybe I can have uncle mess with them a little."

"Leave it be. A test for Nagiana to deal with." Gaia offered. "Offer a good incentive to do so."

"Very well then." Athena nodded seeing the wisdom in that. "They will need a good night sleep. The undead will march on this place in large numbers soon."
