World Of Warcraft: Altered Time

Chapter 6 - Noon Time Day 2 (Wednesday March 1 Noon)

"Knock, knock," Too hard taps on the door. It then turned into a rapid tapping. Rising from the bed Nocturne made her way sleepily to answer. "Knock, knock, knock."

Grumbling to herself Nocturne started a spell in her hand. Whoever bothered her sleep was about to get blasted in the face. Swinging the door open she answered, "what in the cursed sands do you want!?" Her eyes glowed with arcane energy. Looking around she saw no one till she looked down. "It is you. What do you want so early?"

"I need to talk to Sunstrider. What are you doing in his room? "Disa asked with her brow raised. "You look better than yesterday. Don't tell me this is how the boss operates? Give him a little play time in the sheets and you get some power." Slightly angry Disa was quite disappointed in Azul and Nocturne.

Four guards walking by stopped. "Dame Disa. Do not speak so badly of our Lord. He did not engage in the act with her or the other one. If you are looking for him," the guard pointed to the roof. "He is up above arranging a magic array of sorts." With that, two of the guard's continued their patrol. The remaining two stood to the side taking a post. If anything happened they would keep the piece.

"You should have known better," Kalar said as he walked up. His body had a little more definition. As if he received a good meal and night of sleep. "I was with him a few hours ago since dawn. He did not look tired from "night activities" or of that nature." Looking at the women faces he had to ask. "What is it?"

"You were with him last night? Like together?" Nocturne asked. Her eyes turning to slits.

"Yes, we spent our time having a heart to heart," Kalar said folding his arms. "He was quite gentle with me. Did not expect that at all."

"Not in that way pipsqueak." The demon said coming up. She walked out carrying the grace of a jungle cat ready to strike. Deadly and sensual. "Azul is not of that sort. Trust me."

"Sort of what?" Kalar asked naively.

"She means a pole chaser. Prefers to keep company with those like himself. You know, likes men." Disa said walking away. "Bloody knife ears is more of a v.i.r.g.i.n than a Draenei priest." She was heading to the roof to see what array he was building.

A few of the citizens walking by stopped. Two of the militiamen started to giggle before going into full fits of laughter.

Seeing Kalar blushing face walking away the demon stopped him. "Do you have something for her?" She said pointing at Nocturne who's head was in the clouds.

"Yes, I do. Here. It is a talking sphere he said. Talk into and think of who you wish to speak to. It can be stored in your bracelet so don't worry too much about carrying issues. To charge it, you have to do a simple mental exercise." Kalar said handing a small orb over. "I asked why it needed to be charged. His response was simple. Training. He said it was to help the mind sharp and focused." Kalar squinted at the demon for a second. "Who are you?"

"Heh, he is determined to make you work for it. Sorry, not telling you boyo. If you want to know, ask your Lord." The demon said looking at Kalar then to Nocturne. "Equip it already. Stop acting like a child. Then we go and see what he is doing on the roof."

With a quick insert, Nocturne started to head for the roof. The demon followed suit. The two laughing Militia men stood up and looked at each other. They both walked over towards the door for Azul's room. Sniffing the air they realized nothing weird happen. A lot of magic but that was about it. Staring at each other the twins nodded slightly. They closed the doors and went on there way. Where to, only they knew. The two guards just smiled at people's antics.

Up on the roof.

Azul had placed an array to help determine weather patterns. Especially for the area around the little isand, they inhabited. Five of the workers stood by taking notes from the side. Ks was providing the basic function and how it works to them. They still needed to study to get the hang of it for themselves. In time they would be able to help repair it if need be.

The top hatch opened up. Out popped Disa. Her eyes immediately landed on the device. Running as fast as her little legs could take her, she started to inspect the machine. Seeing her interest a worker started to explain the function of the device.

Finishing the basic touches, Azul floated down with a little magic. Seeing Disa excitedly talking with a worker he stared at the magical array.

(Magical Array lvl 1: Can detect weather patterns in radius. Can determine the time table for mana storms.)

"Whew, that will have to do for now." Walking to the other four Azul started a conversation with them. Answering questions as he could.

One thing he found out about the System workers. They happen to be souls from the other life. Specifically from Athena's side so far. Apparently, the soul would gradually become stronger and the soul will live again. Imbuing the body with more life and experiences that the original share. But for now, most could be considered advanced magical A.I. Here in there, a few had awakened small traits. Like the five here. All of them happen to be astronomers from the mid to late Greek period.

"Lord Azul!" Nocturne said when she reached up top. This drew the attention of Disa as well. As Azul finished his conversations with the four he walked over.

"How can I help you Nocturne? Did you sleep well?" Azul face was pretty neutral. He did his best not to imagine the two in his bed earlier.

"It was pleasant. Thank you for asking. What is the plan for today and what is that device?" She asked pointing.

"That is not what she really wants to say." The demon said as she placed her hand on Nocturnes shoulder. "You should be honest.. sister." Seeing Nocturne blush the demon grinned before it turned to a toothy smile.

"No need. Tell me when you are ready." Azul said helping the young blood elf out. The demon pouted in disappointment. "With this setup, we will have a group go to check the shore. I believe a storm is getting ready to come soon. According to the array, there might be one forming as we speak. It is to soon to tell."

"Oh, and the other group?" Disa asked. She stood close by rocking on her toes.

"The other group will contain me with our most strong-willed members. We are heading to the Dead Scar. On our way, we will secure the area gathering resources and clearing the mobs of the undead. As for the Lynx cats in the area, we will capture them. I know a few Druid spells to bolster our strength with them. We also need to find some members to make druids." Azul was moving his back and forward thinking.

"But, there are almost no blood elves left able to wield nature magic. Especially since the taint of Arcane energy and Fel powers." The demon said stepping forward. She knew what the problem was. The arcane energy and fel energy reacted poorly to the Emerald Dream. Only master's of those domains could wield nature ignoring that issue.

"I have a way to fix that!" Azul said smiling. "Rember there use to only be one Elven race before the separation. Nature magic used to be our bread and butter. Well, magic period. But we can renew ourselves on that one."

The demon walked around laid against Azul's back. She was upset this didn't rattle him a little. "All the people you have currently are steeped in the arcane. As well as fel energy. Those Workers and soldiers you summoned may have worked .. but they won't anymore. Their body is the same as the rest of the Blood elves here. Maybe a little healthier but not much different." The demon continued to hang on Azul's back as her eyes glowed with fel energy. She scanned the five workers from up top to bottom. This confirmed her suspicions. " Nope, they will not work. Unless you plan on ripping the energies out of them?" Gleefully the demon smiled when she felt Azul heart beat harder from his back. "You are planning to!"

"That sounds extremely dangerous!" Disa said. "Can they even survive that?"

"Yes, they can. Right now Nocturne could survive the procedure. But I will not use her for that. If those twins would have stayed we could have used them. Actually that would be dumb. They make good paladins. If my calculations are correct those of the holy path have a better chance. The "light" can help extinguish the fel energy. Or push it if its too strong outward."

"Why won't you use me for that?" Nocturne asked a little bothered. The demon ear prickled when she felt Azul's heart thump harder. She looked at her "sister" in excitement.

"Because he has another plan for you sister. So no to you getting purged anymore than you already have."

"What do you mean?" Nocturne asked wondering. Feeling her magic she only felt the arcane energy. Traces of fel energy still travelled in her body.

"Don't worry about it. Master has a plan for you. I think you will like it." The demon looked back at Azul who stared at the clouds forming in the distance. "You are right a storm is coming." Tightening her grip she whispered in Azul's ear. "Master can you feed me for a second. I am full but I want a little more. I will help with construction if you do." She said sensually.

"Huh." Snapping out of it Azul looked to the engineering crew. One of them had a name appear above their heads. It was blurry then solid. He was getting ready to send magic that way but stopped. The name appeared said Delphi.

"Delphi, you are in charge of the array. Your job is to organize the workers and report when there is possible danger understood?" Azul watched the awakened woman nod her head in understanding. He looked to the demon behind him. "If I feed you it will be fear energy. Use it to go and make a harbor. As well as boats for fishing and the like. I was planning on using you at the Dead Scar. But I will have to change that up.

"Oh pooh." The demon said pouting." She didn't want to go over to the harbor. The sea slightly irked her if she was going by herself. Looking around she stared at Disa. "Can I take the little engineer with me? She would know where the bigger things to go and all that. I mean she is a goblin. They know the best places for things."

"Sounds like a good idea. Besides, I don't think Disa wants to come to the Dead Scar." Azul watched the little goblin shake her head repeatedly no. Deciding on a plan he and Nocturne went back downstairs to get Kalar.

Disa just stared at the woman before her. "So what is your name?"

"Not telling you." Stomping her foot she realized she forgot to feed from Azul. "Ugh, that selfish Master left without feeding me. I will just do a better job. That way he has to feed me better later." Grabbing the goblin she jumped off the roof.

"What are you? AAahhhhh," the little goblin yelled as they took flight. She immediately closed her eyes and started to pray. She was not afraid of heights. She was, however, scared of flying without an actual mount.

As they flew over the city. 15 soldiers turned to look at them. They received an urgent quest from Ks.

(Protect ???? and Dame Disa) if the soldiers did a good job they would be rewarded. This is what the Ks planted in them. Anything they killed would magically be sent to their inventory. They could then turn it into the keep for gold or low-level armor. It also increased there individual reputation.

When the soldiers left Kalar received a magical message informing him of the deployed soldiers. Changing the patrol to fill in for that occurrence he went back to training the militia and soldiers, not on duty.

As Azul and Nocturne walked down neither said a word. Azul was not speaking since he was going over reports. He looked at the mana stockpile currently. It was quite low. He would have used more of his own but that would be too risky especially since he was going to the dead scar. Nocturne was busy thinking about the changes in her life. She wanted to prove herself. Especially if she could return to see the other Blood elves with her head held high. She would also be able to visit her parent's graves for the first time in forever. Hopefully, they still remained.

Seeing the training going outside Azul, left them to it. Checking the Kingdom System city map he found five former wretched. They were lazing about. Checking deeper he notices they had done half the requirement for work needed. Sending a ping to them they were all to gather at the gate.

Not only did they arrive late, but each of them was also dressed sloppily at that. Nocturne looked at them in disgust. Azul, on the other hand, was thinking of what to do to them.

"So gentlemen why haven't you done the required work today? It cant be you are too tired. You slept most of the day away. You ate already. Shit, it looks like haven't even clean yourselves up. What's the problem?" Azul just smiled at them cheerfully.

The obvious ringleader of them stepped forward. "Well, there really isn't a need for us all to train. Or work for that matter. Everything is provided already. The soldiers will protect us. We are nobles. The things we mostly know how to do is party." As he said another behind him cheered and said, "and f.u.c.k!" Gyrating his h.i.p.s he looked at Nocturne. "How about it? Wanna party baby?"

Before Nocturne could respond Azul snapped his hands. All of them dropped to their knees. As they struggled to get up Azul moved his hand down to the ground. The body of the five started to break apart. As they screamed Nocturne turned away.

"Do not look away. You need to witness this."

"Why?" Nocturne asked as she looked up.

"Because it is part of your job. Also, I need you stronger for the future." Relaxing his hold a bit the five started to breathe and sob. "This. This was your second chance and you squandered it. Pick one amongst of you. Now!" Looking at one another they glanced at the youngest in the back. "So him very well." Crushing his hands the other four died. The blood poured on to the last man. The memories the few skills all became a part of him. The bodies melted into the ground.

The young Blood Elf stood up. Going through the memories he realized what the others wanted him for. He was never meant to fit in with them. He was there scapegoat. Azul said nothing as the boy figured out what was going on with himself.

(Noble unlocked. You can now appoint nobility in your city.)

(Alchemy unlocked.)

"You are coming with us. You are going to be a diplomat for us. But right now we need you stronger." Azul walked out the gate. Nocturne following suit. "If you dont want to die, learn to earn your keep. I hate those who dont put in their fair share."

"Where are we going? My Lord?" The young noble asked catching up.

"To the Dead Scar," Azul said. as he walked his clothing changed from a Mage set up to a Paladins. His face looked strained. 'Have to kill a lot of undead to boost my light abilities. Time to do what Bane trained me for.' A bloodthirsty smile appeared on his face.
