World's Strongest

Chapter 5 - Obito Uchiha

"I'm afraid I don't, Naruto-kun," said the Hokage with a sigh. "Wait! Did you just say his Chakra signature felt like one of Minato's students? That's impossible!"

"Why?" asked Naruto, looking slightly worried after seeing the Hokage's shocked expression.

"Your father's students were Hatake Kakashi, Rin Nohara and Obito Uchiha," said the Hokage, his face pale from shock.

"Why are you here?" asked Harry in displeased tone.

"That's him! Obito Uchiha! That little punk was the one who controlled me!" roared Kurama in Naruto's mind.

"Kurama says it was Obito Uchiha," said Naruto weakly.

"That's why I said it's impossible!" said the Hokage, slamming his hands on his desk. "Obito Uchiha was killed during the Third Shinobi War! It can't be him!"

"Oi, kid, ask the old perv if the Uchiha brat's body was found," said Kurama.

"Kurama is asking if Obito's body was found?" Naruto related the message.

"No, it was not," said the Hokage, shaking his head.

"Then it's safe to say he survived," said Naruto. "That bastard killed my parents! I swear I will crush him to death!"

"Naruto-kun, this is a high class secret!" said the Hokage with a worried look. "You must absolutely not reveal it to anyone."

"Don't worry, gramps, I won't," said Naruto with a firm look on his face. "What happened to my dad's other students?"

"Sigh ... Rin Nohara was killed during the war," said the Hokage with a sad look on his face. "She was a talented Kunoichi. Hatake Kakashi is currently part of Anbu."

"I'm sorry about Rin, but can I meet with Kakashi?" asked Narruto hopefully.

"Kakashi is currently off on missions and he rarely stays behind," said the Hokage. "But don't worry. By the time you graduate I'll have him assigned as your team captain."

"Are you going to tell him about Obito?" asked Naruto, looking worried. "They were teammates after all."

"Sigh ... I don't know," said the Hokage as he let out a sigh. "He went through a lot after the war. I don't know how he's going to react after he finds out."

"You should tell him," said Naruto with a determined look. "He deserves to know."

"Hmm ... I know ... I just don't know how he's going to take it though," said the Hokage with a sad lool on his face.

"I'll be going now, old man," said Naruto, getting up. "I've got things to do."

"As do I Naruto-kun," said the Hokage. "Keep up with your training. I look forward to when you officially start your Shiobi career."

***** Training Ground *****

"Hina-hime," said Naruto as he reached the training ground.

After Naruto had finished talking with the Hokage, he had made his way to the training ground where he had promised to meet with Hinata. He had grown really close with the dark blue haired Hyuga princess over the years. She wore her usual cream coloured navy jacket with navy blue pants. Her timid nature had long been left behind as she grew stronger while training with Naruto.

While training together, Naruto had found out Hinata was very efficient in her clan's Gentle Fist Style. Upon being questioned for the reason on her family's mistreatment of Hinata, she had recounted that for an effective method of training in the Gentle Fist, one had to close their opponent's Chakra Points. As closing one's Chakra Points was a painful procedure, Hinata could not bring herself to cause her clan members any pain.

However, with Naruto around, this problem had long been resolved. As he had Kage level chakra reserves, he could produce a monstrous number of Shadow Clones, therefore, Hinata was never short of guinea pigs to practice her techniques on. With this method, her technique mastery had grown by leaps and bounds.

Naruto had also learnt the Gentle Fist from Hinata and they had both fully mastered it. Although Naruto could not see the Chakra Points wthout the Byakugan, he had changed the style to focus on pressure points.

"Naruto-kun," said Hinata with a hint of blush on her delicate skin. "You're kind of late, you know?"

"I'm sorry, Hina-hime," said Naruto, running his hand through his hair. "I got caught up with something. Shall we get started with our spar?"

"Sure," replied Hinata with a bright smile on her face.

Hinata loved at the way Naruto called her. The time she spent with blonde boy was the happiest she had ever been. Through meeting him, Hinata had overcome her shy and timid personality and had even grown very strong.

"Naruto-kun, you changed your clothes," commented Hinata, as she approached Naruto.

"Yes, I bought it a while ago and had forgotten about it," sais Naruto. "I found it when I was sorting out my house last night. Do you liks it?"

"Yes, it suits you very well," replied Hinata, smiling brightly.

"Damn, Hina-hime, I can never get tired of your smile," said Naruto, hia heart skipping a beat.

"Stop teasing me, Naruto-kun," said Hinata shyly as her face turned red like a tomato.

"I'm serious, you look even more pretty when you smile like that," said Naruto seriously.

Hinata looked at the crazy blonde boy in front of her in his black hooded sweatshirt and black shorts. Her heart soared with happiness for the time she spent with him.

"Thank you, Naruto-kun," said Hinata.

"Now let's continue our normal training, then," said Naruto.

Last year, Naruto gotten some chakra papers from the Hokage so that he could check his chakra element with Hinata. He was surprised to find that he possessed more chakra elements than a normal shinobi; wind, lighting and fire. He understood that he had the fire affinity due to him being an Uchiha and he had the wind affinity from his mother's side. But what he could not understand was why he had the lightning affinity. When he asked the Hokage, he was told that it must be from his father as Minato had a high lightning affinity.

When he had checked Hinata's chakra nature, he was surprised once again that she had water, wind and fire affinities with water being her main affinity. There were very few who had three natural chakra affinity at the same time.

"Since we both have wind and fire affinities, let's start off with fire jutsus since it's what our country is known for," said Naruto with a smile. "We can then move on to train with water jutsus for you and lightning for me. As wind nature chakra is rare in Konoha, we'll leave that for last."

"That's a good start," replied Hinata. "I have also managed to get a copy of my clan's techniques from the Hyuga clan's library. The Shadow Clone helped out quite a lot. It saved so much time."

"That's good," said Naruto.

Thus, their training continued. While in the Academy, Naruto continued pretending to be a dumb, loudmouth knucklehead while Hinata was the shy young girl. Their days training together continued as their bonds grew stronger alongside their strength.

Naruto found out that he had a slightly high affinity with fire. A few weeks before he was due to graduate from the academy, Naruto was quietly meditating on his bed during his day off from the academy. Kurama had forced him to develop the habit to meditate on a daily basis to help calm down his overactive mind. He found it difficult in the beginning, however, with enough practice, his mind and emotions became calmer. In turn, Naruto found it also helped his chakra control skyrocket. He now had high Chunin level chakra control and a low Kage level chakra reserve.

While deep in meditation, Naruto's senses extended and he could feel the heat in the air.

"Kurama, I can feel the heat energy in the air," said Naruto excitedly.

"Good for you, kid," Kurama, chuckling. "This shows your affinity for fire is on the same level as the second Hokage's water affinity. This will help you out become a strong sensor."

"That's right," said Naruto with a sly grin. "Humans produce heat like any other living creature. But I'm kind of bummed out that I don't have any defensive element affinity like earth."

"Relax kid, you can always train in other elements," said Kurama reassuringly. "It just mean you will have to work harder at it."

"In that case I have nothing to worry about since I'm a master of hard work," said Naruto with a foxy grin.

"Your academy graduation is in a few weeks time," said Kurama. "Are you going to ask the old pervy Kage to put you on the same team as your little girlfriend?"

"No, it's better if we're put in different teams," said Naruto thoughtfully.

"Now that's an unexpected response," said Kurama in surprise. "I was expecting you to fight hard to be put in the same team as her."

"While Hinata has grown stronger training with me, I don't want her to grow dependent on me," said Naruto smiling. "I want her to grow as a person on her own and experience life with new people. It will do her well."

"You're surprisingly wise for a thirteen years old," said Kurama.

"What can I say, I'm just that aweaome, hahaha," laughed Naruto.

"Just make not to let that get into your head, Naruto," said Kurama. "You're strong and you'll only grow stronger from now on. Make sure you're responsible with your powers."

"Of course, and I will have you to knock me sense into me if I ever do go overboard," said Naruto.

"Damn straight I will," said Kurama chuckling.

"I expect gramps might put me in Kakashi's team since he was my dad's student," said Naruto. "Though I doubt he's already told Kakashi I'm the Fourth Hokage's son."

"What makes you say that?" asked Kurama curiously.

"Don't you think Kakashi would have already approached me if he knew?" asked Naruto. "Even if his relationship wirh my dad was bad, he should have still approached me by now."

"You're right," said Kurama.

"Anyway, I'm going to sleep now," said Naruto. "It's only a month before I graduate from the academy. I'm looking forward to finally let loose on some missions."

Naruto lay on his bed thinking about his training with Hinata. Both of them had come a long way since they started training together. Both were considerably stronger compared with to others of their generation to the point they could not be compared anymore. Both were well rounded shinobi. However, when it came to genjutsu, Naruto found it easier to cast a higher level one that required more chakra compared to a low level one, despite bringing his chakra control to a high Chunin level.

Naruto had taught Hinata the same Kenjutsu style he had learnt from he had found in the Namikazi compound, however, they had adopted it to suit themselves. Naruto favoured speed and strength where Hinata preferred dodging the strike due to her flexibility.

As this kenjutsu style been created by Kushina with the help of Minato, it greatly compliment Minato's taijutsu style. It was based on parrying and dodging the opponent's strikes thus quickly ending the battle. This, however, did not mean the style was not suited for prolonged fights.

When Naruto and Hinata had first began their training, they had to work especially harder to increase Hinata's chakra pool. Over the years, Hinata's chakra pool had immensely increased to a high Chunin level. What had made her happier though was her high Jonin level chakra control.
