Bokuboy Another chapter, another 3,050 words.

I woke up in my bed and I had two beautiful girls on my arms. It was something I never thought would happen to me. I was deeply in love with Vista and would do anything she wanted, only I hadn't thought that would include our friend Taylor.

We hadn't had sex, because that was something Vista and I had promised to keep to ourselves and to experience when we were ready. We did everything else with our good friend, though. By everything, I mean everything. The only thing we hadn't done was intercourse and even then it was a close thing. Who knew that rubbing our private parts on each other would feel that good?

Taylor slowly opened her eyes and her face flushed to a bright red. Her eyes saw I was awake and she looked completely embarrassed, probably because we had done everything except intercourse last night. She tried to pull away from me and I held onto her shoulders to stop her. She looked into my eyes and I gave her an understanding look, which made her relax.

“I can't believe I did all of that with you.” Taylor whispered.

“I can.” I whispered back. “To be perfectly honest, you're almost as cute as Vista when you blush.”

Taylor blushed, which made me chuckle. “Why doesn't this feel all awkward and stuff?” She asked me. “I mean, you're not my boyfriend and we really did a lot of things that we... um... I... should I do things like that with my first boyfriend?”

That made me bark a laugh and it shook Vista enough to wake her.

“Mmm.” Vista moaned a little and her lips caught mine and she kissed me for several seconds. “I don't taste Taylor's lips.” She said and lifted herself up to rest on a single elbow. “Don't tell me you were up first and you didn't share a thank you kiss.”

Taylor blushed and ducked her head. “I didn't want to presume.”

“She realized I wasn't her boyfriend and what we did last night was way past what a normal boyfriend and girlfriend would do when they first start going out.” I clarified.

“Oh, I guess that's true.” Vista said and reached over me to pat Taylor's arm. “Like I told Myriad, you've been a great friend and I don't mind if you sneak in a few cuddles here and there, as long as it's not behind my back or anything.”

“Wh-what? No!” Taylor denied. “I'd never... I mean... I did come to Alex to ask about... then you were here and I thought... well, it kind of worked and...”

Both Vista and I laughed at how she stammered about the whole thing.

“Taylor, relax.” I said and Vista nodded. “We knew you needed help and we would never deny a friend, especially since we had just learned about all of that ourselves.”

“It was a little scary at first, because Alex was a lot bigger than he had been the last time we had seen it.” Vista said.

“Wait, what?” Taylor asked.

“My copy power ability apparently also copies the effects those powers have on a person's body.” I said and lightly pat my stomach. “I'm a few inches taller than I was a couple days ago... and there's a few inches more somewhere else that I never expected.”

“That's why it was so much bigger up close!” Taylor exclaimed and Vista nodded.

“Since trigger events happen differently for each person, we have to assume that the different powers that Alex can copy will also have different application times to his power set and his physical body.”

“That's because he's a mental trump.” Taylor said in understanding.

“Exactly.” Vista said and she looked down at my crotch. “Um... Alex.”

“Yeah?” I asked.

“Is it bigger?” Vista asked and lifted the blanket to point at me.

I looked where she indicated and my eyes widened. “Well, crap. I think it is.”

Taylor put her hand on it and then moved her hand up to just above where she just touched me. “It's about half an inch longer with the same thickness.” She said and her hand stroked back down.

“That means Dinah was right. Alex isn't done growing.” Vista said and her hand joined Taylor's.

“Dinah? The new precog cape?” Taylor asked and her hand started to move faster.

“Call her Guesswork for now.” I said and tried to ignore them playing with me. “She said yesterday that... there was a 92% chance... that I wasn't done growing.” I said and started panting.

Taylor gave me a smug look. “Did she mean this soon or eventually?”

“She didn't... say.” I responded and tried to not moan.

Vista saw me struggling and leaned over me to kiss me deeply.

“Mmmm!” I moaned into her mouth with her being so forceful and then I felt soft lips engulf me down there. “MMMM!”

Taylor and Vista moaned in response and then I was suddenly at my limit and my world exploded with pleasure. I bucked slightly and hugged Vista with one arm and hugged Taylor with the other. Vista broke the kiss and looked quite happy and Taylor slipped out from under the blanket and she also looked quite happy.

“Are you two trying to kill me?” I asked and both girls laughed.

“What's that old saying? Giving rewards is the best motivation?” Vista asked.

I immediately understood what she implied, gave her a quick kiss, then dove under the blanket.

“Alex, I didn't mean...” Vista started to say before she let out a loud moan and pulled Taylor in close to hold onto her. Before Taylor could protest and try to give us some alone time, I moved over and started to give her the same treatment. She let out her own sexy moan as she clung tightly to Vista.

Needless to say, we were late getting to breakfast and had to rush to get to school.

Less than a week later, a new ward named Browbeat was introduced to the Wards. He had apparently triggered during a traumatic boating incident that no one would give any details for and it wasn't included in the police reports. He was intentionally not included in any patrols that went near the water.

He never told anyone his name and never unmasked, and yet I knew his name was Johnathan and he was an undiagnosed schizophrenic. I didn't tell anyone except Vista and Taylor, because I wanted them to keep an eye on him. If any of the Wards needed someone to look out for them, it was him. His self-biokinesis to expand his muscles and his limited telekinesis was a weird power combination, too.

Browbeat was assigned to monitor duty until he could be fully integrated into the wards and learned all of the proper procedures, so I was out on patrol a lot more than I normally was. This turned out to be a good thing, because Lung had apparently discovered the old hideout for the disbanded Undersiders and went looking to cause trouble while he shouted about regaining some of the stolen money from his robbed casino.

“Don't.” Hive Queen said to me and lightly touched my shoulder. “We've been ordered to retreat.”

“Why?” I asked.

Hive Queen gave me a pointed look deep into my eyes. “Take a wild guess.”

I opened my mouth to ask what she meant and she put a hand over my mouth.

“Director Piggot has specifically ordered that you cannot engage the Rage Dragon of Brockton Bay.” Hive Queen whispered and let my mouth go. “You're not even allowed to be close enough to gain the weaker copy of his powers. If you gain even a small portion of his power-induced anger madness...”

I took a deep breath and sighed. “All right, I understand. I won't fight him.”

Hive Queen's stern look changed to a warm one. “Take us as far away from him as our route allows.”

“Okay.” I said and carefully scooped her up into my arms and ran as I squished the building tops together to make a long smooth surface to run on. I stopped on top of the PRT building and put her on her feet as I let the compressed spaces go back to normal.

“I still can't understand how you do that.” Hive Queen said and her arms around my neck stayed there.

I could hear the blush in her voice and smiled. “It's the proper application of appropriate powers.” I responded and nodded at the roof access. “You might as well go get changed. I'll be down in a minute.”

Hive Queen gave me another pointed look. “Are you trying to get rid of me to go back and fight?”

I shook my head. “I'm trying to give you plausible deniability.”

“For what?” Hive Queen asked.

I stepped back from her and she reluctantly let my arms go. I switched my main power to the 100% powered copy of Miss Militia's and knelt on one knee as I created a high powered sniper rifle. It had a super-zoom scope, an enhanced silencer, and more bells and whistles than a rifle was supposed to have, including a laser sight adjusted for distance and a quick-load magazine capacity of twenty rounds.

“Oh, my god.” Hive Queen whispered.

“Like I said, plausible deniability.” I whispered and carefully took aim before I pulled the trigger.

Lung must have sensed or heard it, because he turned and looked right at me. The hollow-point bullet impacted his forehead and cratered his skull before the explosive charge detonated and his head disintegrated.

Oni-Lee, the ABB right-hand man and teleporter, appeared. His head disappeared as well and another Oni-Lee appeared on the next closest building to where he had died. His head exploded and then several more Oni-Lees seemed to appear as they spread out all over the area and all of their heads exploded, too.

“He's caught in a loop.” Hive Queen said. “He must have teleported the moment the bullet entered his senses and every time he materializes, he still dies.”

“Yeah.” I said and turned slightly as I zoomed in with the scope. “As soon as he hits power exhaustion, he'll have one last teleport and no more Oni-Lee.”

“What are you aiming at now?” Hive Queen asked and put her hand on my shoulder. “You can't kill the gangers.”

“The police can round them up.” I said and took a long slow breath as I caught sight of the person sitting in the van that the thugs had shown up in. “Hello, Bakuda.”

“Bakuda! That's the mad university bomber!” Hive Queen exclaimed.

“She has an Asian nationality, apparently. The Unwritten Rules don't count for that, I guess.” I said and pulled the trigger twice. I didn't know why I shot the left ventricle of her heart before I shot her in the head, though. I just knew I had to.

The van disappeared in a bright green fireball before it turned black and disappeared with about thirty feet of the street around it and part of a building.

“That was a weird explosion.” I said and stood up as I let the sniper rifle dissolve away. “Imagine if Oni-Lee had been holding one of those already activated.”

Just as I said that, Oni-Lee appeared on the next building over and as his head exploded, his thumb touched a tinker grenade. A black sphere thirty feet wide appeared briefly and then it disappeared and left behind a fifteen foot spherical gouge out of the building he had stood on.

Hive Queen tapped her earpiece. “Console, this is Hive Queen. Please tell me the building across the street was empty.”

There was silence for several moments before Browbeat spoke. “Confirmed. It's an apartment building being converted into office space.”

“Thank god.” Hive Queen said in relief. “Oni-Lee didn't take anyone else with him when he died.”

“He tried to take us with him, Hive Queen.” I reminded her. “His last visual jump ended just outside his range to reach us.”

Hive Queen wrapped her arms around me from behind and hugged me close. “I'm going to need a lot of cuddling tonight.”

“Vista, too.” I whispered. “After she stops yelling and hitting me for doing what I just did.”

Hive Queen softly laughed. “Director Piggot isn't going to be happy, either.”

“She won't be distracted by the other gangs making a play for ABB territory?” I asked and she shook her head. “I suppose an in-house suspension won't suck too much.” I said with a sigh. “Am I allowed to curse yet?”

“No.” Hive Queen whispered and gave me one last squeeze before she let me go, took my hand, and led me inside.

It was time to face the music, which was a very polite way of saying a very loud and angry woman would be screaming her head off at me for destabilizing the relative peace of the city, even if it wasn't my fault that Lung had been the one that started it.

As soon as we entered the director's office, I immediately stated that I hadn't been close enough to copy anyone's powers, even after defeating them, and then I stood there like a statue as Emily Piggot verbally reamed me inside and out about the whole thing. As I had predicted, it was not a pleasant experience.

I wasn't surprised that I would be benched for a month while the 'real' heroes tried to keep the city from imploding. That comment hurt my feelings and I said so, then I left the office without waiting to be dismissed. I ignored the director's yell to return to her office to let her finish ranting at me.

Hive Queen caught up to me when I entered the Wards common area and she took my hand again to lead me to Vista's room. We stripped off and climbed into bed to cuddle each other and waited for Vista's patrol to end. Vista came in and saw us huddled together, came to the right conclusion that nothing had happened because we were waiting for her, and she stripped off and climbed into bed with us.

We stayed there all night and held each other as we talked things over. Vista promised to look over the footage and listen to the audio before she would give me another verbal assault. I thanked her for being so understanding and we eventually fell asleep, not realizing we were inadvertently skipping school. For some reason, we didn't get into trouble about it.

I spent the month on monitor duty and finally had the chance to go through Dragon's Endbringer data and prediction software. A lot of it seemed like nonsense and shouldn't work, which told me that it was laced with tinkertech code. I ignored those parts and checked the data while also running the program for the most viable targets that would cause the most damage in both population and economic terms.

It was a week before Vista's birthday while I was on console duty with Taylor when a piece of data stood out to me. It was the latest projection of the huge influx of cash and people that Brockton Bay would have when the last few ships beached in the harbour were removed.

Vista and I had already crushed the most important wrecks to clear the larger shipping lanes and only the ones off to the sides of the bay that stopped the larger ships from docking were left. When I entered the data into the program, the 66% chance jumped to 95% that Brockton Bay would be hit within the next two weeks.

I sent a text to Dragon and requested confirmation of the prediction and sent along the data as well. She didn't respond for ten minutes and I thought she was too busy to talk, then my cell phone rang with Dragon's secured private number.

“Good evening, Dragon.” I said when I answered.

“Hello, Myriad.” Dragon's slightly husky and sexy voice responded.

I couldn't tell you why it reminded me of Vista's moaning whispers of how much she loved me.

“I've refined the parameters and rechecked your additions. I've narrowed down your two weeks to within a three day period.” Dragon informed me.

“Oh, fuck.” I cursed and felt Taylor slap my arm. “Sorry. I know what you're going to say.”

“Yes, the three days are May 14, May 15, and May 16.”

“Vista's birthday is on Sunday, May 15.” I sighed.

“You did schedule your trip to Florida for that entire weekend.” Dragon said, her voice sad. “It seems fate just doesn't want you and Vista to enjoy a mini-vacation away from Brockton Bay.”

“I doubt she'll forgive me, even if it is an Endbringer that's going to ruin her birthday.” I commented.

“WHAT?!?” Taylor yelled, which activated the microphone's emergency protocol and sent her shout to everyone on patrol duty, Wards and Protectorate capes alike. “An Endbringer? For Vista's birthday?”

I looked from her to the monitor screens. “That just saved a bunch of time telling everyone at the emergency briefing Dragon was going to call.”

“I'm still calling it.” Dragon said and my cell phone clicked a few times. “I've sent the call and notified the Director, Armsmaster, and Miss Militia. They'll send the notices to everyone else.”

“Right. I'll see you there.” I joked, because she always attended over teleconference.

Dragon softly laughed. “Keep that levity going, Myriad. We're going to need it. Goodbye.”

“Bye.” I said and hug up.

“You better explain right now.” Taylor said as she glared at me.

I put on the second headset and activated my microphone before I did exactly that, even if I was going to have to repeat myself at the briefing. I was sure that Dragon was going to give me the credit, even if it was her program and her data that I had used.

On the plus side, I knew Vista wouldn't kill me before Leviathan showed up to flood the city. Afterwards? I wasn't so sure. That was two romantic dates and two Endbringers that showed up. The prospects we were going to successfully have a third chance weren't looking good. It wasn't looking good at all.
