Zatland Zuallen

Chapter 13 - 2780-Space City Iron Lake 044-Gunpoint

The elbiocorndita to Zatland, was a nonsensically named den, to lay up his roots, have a wife and child, several other kids, then see rocky.

It was that good, the tacos were just out of this world, with their quantity, and their spicy hot sauce that was not too low key fire. it was banging.

There was no need to go into the crimes of cultural appropriation committed because the staff in the establishment were all probably Albanians or of Eastern European descendants.

Zatland loved the tacos in the establishment, but the people here were culture vultures, his studies on history told him about the Spanish speaking people, and their continents of origin, nobody, studies that far back into the past nowadays, as it was several hundreds of years ago, back when the earthling race was still on earth.

All information's known of the time, to the common person, was seen through movies, which made for a poor representation of the real-life situation, as the story was altered to be more interesting.

But to Zatland, who had a read up on the information not long ago on his laptop.

Based on the skin tone of the people he read about; and the presentation of the food. These people were probably stealing food ideas from other cultures.

the skin complexions of people had changed tremendously over the years, and human beings had become more vastly muti-spectrum in skin tone colors.

With the addition of a few non-standard skin complexions, and non-organic enhancements done to appearances. Not to mention the many years of evolutionary experimentation, enacted by the earthling race on themselves.

it was hard to trace back which race was once which, but the Spanish population still had a proud heritage they passed onto their people, no matter the change in skin complexion, caused by evolution.

The educated mind would see past the blatant cultural appropriation.

P.O.V Zatland Mind

This massive sub like sandwich type thing was not a taco. I've seen ancient pictures of tacos… But man was this heaven.

It got most of the ingredient right, giant slabs of meat, onion, pepper, cilantro, Jalapenos, and all covered in a secret spicy sauce, except for the Italian bread incasing and massive serving size it was still a taco, but still didn't count as a taco.

Based on this evidence I believe these people are not decedents of the ancient Hispanic people as they say they are.

The Hispanics were a people who fell in line, with the ancient beatification standard of European countries. When the European countries, after humanity began altering itself for survival, changed their outer appearances, they altered their eye colors too higher spectrum greens and blues. And then lightened their skin complexion, almost to the point of albinism.

I began to suspect that these people were probably more Asian or European descendant. As their figures were a little smaller. And their eye's were blue.

In this era there were hardly any people who retained the original natural skin complexion, of their race when it was on earth, I was not even an exception myself, as my skin tone was reddish brown, and eyes were more golden brown.

My family didn't alter its genes to make ourselves more beautiful like other families, the men of our house just tried our darndest to convince a pretty lady to mate with us. But that was pretty rare among other people. like It was something very hard to do.

My family is a scientific family, so we enhanced more of our brains faculties, instead of our bodies.

P.O.V Narrator

The American, European, and Spanish descent people had a habit of changing their eye color to either green or blue, while it varied even amongst their race, because of genetic modification and adaptation over time. It became a trend.

Brown eyes where an ancient relic of the past, suggesting familiar in-breeding. But it was true that brown eyes were a dominant trait, it didn't matter much if Zatland was a product of i.n.c.e.s.t or not, because the human race had done many an atrocious thing, in the pursuit of evolution, since the earth was lost.

What was genetic modification without i.n.c.e.s.t?

It's hard to recreate a non-dominate trait without a person doubling down on the source material. and Of course, with technological advancement borrowed from alien species, they were less negative health problems associated with i.n.c.e.s.t.

If it was back on earth, the ethical soundness of this would be debated. But the bloodbath humanity had to crawl through to get to where they are today, made all that irrelevant.

There were many paths to survival; conception was just one of them.

P.O.V Zatland

So what, I might be a product of i.n.c.e.s.t, according to historic remnants and the pure fact of genetic modification, chances where everyone nowadays was a product of genetic i.n.c.e.s.t.

it was a highly probable fact.

I feel proud of my brown eyes, but also self-conscience, because of the prejudices of my peers. When I was a Child, people use to make fun of it.

But I liked my brown eyes; it made me look more stringent...

Anyways back to the tacos.

[Zatland: Anyways these are not tacos, I researched this bro.]

[Zion: oh yeah prove it, show me a picture.]

I proceeded to tap the screen of my watch, assessing a holographic image. I had uploaded the image specifically for such a situation. My family training of always having a plan, coming to the surface.

Zion was wowed by the size difference of the two foods. "this one was better," he said pointing at his full sandwich.

I was stunned by the rebuttal, it wasn't even related to what we were debating, but it not like I could argue the case, I had never eaten a real taco.

I took a bite.

...

Next up was tater tot panini, and then Zion and I would have to make a 5-mile jog to the next spot. "Dude jalapeno chicken tater tot paninissss." Zion said pointing to a sign on the stall a foot away from us. My mouth was watering at the thought of it. Both of us immediately began to walk toward the stall, suddenly my shoulder impacted the shoulder of the man next to me exposing a gun.

Our eyes met, and he saw it, he saw my eyes leave his waist, and he seemed to be unhappy about that.

I backed away.
