2 Years Of Restarting

Walking out of the venue, Yu Yan already felt drained just from walking. She glanced to the back once more and shook her head. She truly disliked these kind of parties.

Entering the lift, Yu Yan reached the first floor. But as she walked out, she saw a shadow coming at her. Without thinking, she evaded to the side and rushed out to the hallway. Her eyes glanced up to see the position of the security camera, making sure that her path would always be within its sight.

"Damn it!"

There was sound of curse behind her, but Yu Yan didn't care and quickly got out. She heaved a sigh of relief when she saw Lan Huo stood not far from her and rushed over.

"Are you okay, Madam?"

"There's a thug my mom hired waiting for me. Take care of him," Yu Yan gave an order with cold eyes.

Lan Huo nodded solemnly. "Right away."

While Yu Yan caught her breath, the man behind her was already dealt with. She didn't ask what Lan Huo did but she knew that the man wouldn't be able to do anything to her anymore.

When Lan Huo returned, Yu Yan asked tentatively, "Are there anyone else?"

"Yes, there are several other men who come to take you back, Madam," Lan Huo reported the truth.

Hearing that, Yu Yan merely nodded. This was not the first time her mother paid people to take her back, which was why she reacted so quickly. In the past, she was once captured but managed to sneak away and thus learned how to defend herself in such situation.

Though, her overall skill was not that good.

'She's hell bent on taking me away. Unfortunately, she'll not have any chance in the future.' 

Yu Yan entered the car and Lan Huo carefully started to drive. "Where to, Madam?"

"Home."

"I understand."

Looking at the window, Yu Yan felt a pity that this was Kang Mao Yao's party and not Kang Mao Lan. If this was Kang Mao Lan's party, Yu Yan would not step back after spitting out those words and would continue until she was satisfied. But because the one in charge was Kang Mao Yao, she couldn't go overboard.

The security guards were already prepared at the side from the moment Kang Mao Lan began to speak. If they irked Kang Mao Yao, she would not hesitate to kick the two of them out.

Yu Yan didn't mind her reputation but she didn't want to create such trouble. It was already enough that she overturned their images.

'Oh right.'

Taking her phone, Yu Yan texted her best friend, Feng Mian.

Yu Yan: Mian'er, I need Tian Quan's number.

Feng Mian: here 08********

Feng Mian: it's rare for you to ask for other people's number, not to mention this troublemaker.

Yu Yan: I need his help. Thanks Mian'er.

Feng Mian: Got it, I'll tell him about you first so that he'll not think of you as a suspicious person and begin to chat rubbish.

Yu Yan: Thanks!

Looking at her phone, Yu Yan thought about Tian Quan. Tian Quan was the second son of Tian Family that specialized in advertisement. In this country, no one would dare to say first if they said that they were second. Even though it was such a prestigious family, Tian Quan was an art lover and proclaimed that he would become an artist rather than an advertiser.

Because of his attitude, he earned a lot of enemies but many also liked him because of his straight forward attitude. He was also the famous troublemaker of Tian Family. Tian Quan was also Feng Mian's classmates, so Yu Yan wanted to make use of this connection to ask him for some help.

Yu Yan chose to call the number.

Ring! Ring!

"Yes? This is Yu Yan, right? Feng Mian just told me about you." Tian Quan answered almost right away. The background noise behind him started to fade. It seemed that he had purposely find a quiet place to speak.

"Yes. I see you in the party just now and I would like to ask for help, Master Tian."

"Call me Master Quan!"

"Master Quan."

Tian Quan felt smug now that Yu Yan called him that way. "What help? Don't ask me to smear other people's name. Even though it sounds like a fun thing to do, it's actually very despicable!"

"Master Quan, do you really think that I'm a person like that?" Yu Yan didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "I would like your help to make sure that the newspaper under Tian Family did not spread false news regarding today's small incident."

"Huh? Just that?"

"Yes."

"Kekeke, don't worry. Tian Family had an honor to hold and we certainly will not…."

Bletak!

"Brother!"

"What are you doing staying outside here when I already said that you have to learn how to interact with others?"

"But Brother, there's someone who needs my help here."

"Your help by bragging?"

"Brother…"

There was some scuffle and Yu Yan knew that Tian Quan covered the phone. She shook her head as she could guess that the first son of Tian Family must have found Tian Quan hiding. With the poor reputation Tian Quan had, it was not weird for his brother to smack him in his head the moment he found the other party.

Poor Tian Quan.

"Yu Yan, are you still there?"

"Yes, so how is it, Master Qian?"

"Don't worry, I'll personally give them warning. If they still don't adhere, hmph, let's see how my father deal with them!"

Yu Yan was amused when she heard how proud Tian Quan was for his father. Tian Family was big and had quite the influence but their scope of work was still limited to the Capital City and also the area around there. Being the direct descendant, Tian Quan was really the troublemaker brat.

She talked a bit more with Tian Quan before closing the phone. It was then she realized that the car had stopped in front of a building.

"Lan Huo?"

"Boss is here and will come soon."

Yu Yan's eyes lit up. Just as Lan Huo said, Long Ying walked out of the building and entered the car. His coat moved slightly as he got in and looked at Yu Yan with his silver eyes.

"Ying! Are you done with work?"

"Hmm." Long Ying nodded. He looked at Yu Yan. "You're asking that Tian brat for help?"

Tian brat?

There were a lot of people who would talk bad about Tian Quan and Long Ying was certainly not an exception. No matter how talented that brat was, he was still just a brat in the eyes of many others.

Yu Yan nodded. "Yes, he's the one in charge for advertisement, so I think that it'll be good to ask him to make sure no unsound newspaper dared to spread lies from today's exchange."

"You don't need to worry about that."

"Ah?"

"No newspaper will dare." Long Ying was confident with that. After all, he had some connection too and could easily warm those publishers if they dared to smear his wife's name. Hmph, they must be tired of living if they were willing to spread fake news under his nose.

Yu Yan blinked her eyes. She looked at Long Ying with uncertainty. "Just how big is the influence of Dragon Clan actually?"

"How big?" Long Ying narrowed his eyes. "For the underworld trade, we're basically the top. Information gathering is also not bad but there are still some areas we can't access in this country. And if you want outside influence, it's also quite limited in many other countries."

"Many?"

"Yes, in some countries, we have the area." Long Ying blinked his eyes and looked at Yu Yan. He smirked. "Want to pay a visit?"

"Not now. I need to go back to work tomorrow."

"Already?"

Long Ying's face was dark. Thinking that Yu Yan would be working in Zhang Liang's company only made his mood sour. If only it was possible, he wished to lock her up and prevented anyone from seeing her ever.

Oh well, he didn't want to restrain her either.

She should fly freely and stay happy.

Yu Yan nodded. "I'm already absent for a week, so I'm sure work is piling up. Not to mention, I'm in a new workplace, so I have to get used with it again."

"Alright. If you're bullied there, you can always report to me."

"No one will be able to bully me." Yu Yan rolled her eyes. She was not a soft girl who would let just anyone bully her. If they dared to make a move against her, she would not hesitate to retaliate.

Long Ying nodded then handed a box to Yu Yan. 

"What is this?"

"Contact lenses. Help me take care of them."

Yu Yan arched her eyebrows and then looked at Long Ying in surprise.. "I thought you hate using contact lenses."
