2 Years Of Restarting

Long Ying narrowed his eyes. He shrugged. "I don't particularly like it, but it's more convenient when walk around with you."

At the front, Lan Huo: "…" Boss, you're the one who hate contact lenses the most because it gets in the way during a brawl.

"Really?" Yu Yan didn't believe Long Ying.

"Yes."

Looking at the contact lenses in her hand, Yu Yan then thought of something before turning her head to look at Long Ying. "You want to reduce the stare of other people to you when you're walking with me."

It was a statement, not a question.

Long Ying didn't answer but his gaze already told Yu Yan that she guessed correctly. Pursing her lips, Yu Yan played with the box in her hand. "You don't have to go that far. Even if you keep on wearing black glasses when you're walking around with me, I don't mind at all."

"I mind."

"What?"

"You keep on receiving stare when you're with me, so of course I'll feel bad. These contact lenses are not that bad and can help me to look clearer too."

Yu Yan narrowed her eyes. "Do you have myopia?"

"No."

"Then…"

"I already have to use contact lenses during some of my missions. Wearing one when I'm walking around with you is not a trouble at all." Long Ying chuckled.

Lan Huo: "…" Boss, if you want to lie, please lie better. Whenever you have missions that required you to disguise yourself, you would rather act like a street punk with black glasses rather than anything else.

But of course, Lan Huo would not dare to speak his mind at all. He feared that his Boss would skin him alive if he told the truth.

Yu Yin pursed her lips. "Just when we're outside on important occasion then."

"Other times?"

"I liked your silver eyes better…." Yu Yan felt that she had slipped when she saw Long Ying's twinkling eyes. She quickly turned her eyes sideways. "I mean, it looks more natural on you rather than any other color."

Long Ying chuckled and raised his head to pat his woman's hair softly. The only person who would like his silver eyes might be Yu Yan as other people feared him whenever they saw this pair of silver eyes.

"Come look at me and tell me that again."

"No!"

"Why not? It's not like you're lying, right?"

"I'm not!" Yu Yan's face was hot. She felt as if she was taken into a fire pit and when she saw Long Ying's teasing look, she knew that he was out to tease her again. Pouting, she refused to look at him.

The couple went on and on, making Lan Huo felt like he should have asked the Boss to install better divider. Just hearing their voices already made his ears hurt.

He felt that he needed to submerge his face in a bucket filled with cold water as soon as possible.

It was only the next day Yu Yan saw Long Ying wore the contact lenses. He had a mission that required him to wear it because if not, people will know that the Dragon Clan Head was visiting.

The contact lenses changed the color of his pupil to that of dark brown. Looking at his new appearance, Yu Yan still felt that silver color was much better than dark brown. So what if it was rare? It made Long Ying looked even more exquisite and handsome in her opinion.

"Your hair will not hinder you? It's rare for anyone to have long hair in this day and age." Yu Yan pointed at Long Ying's hair.

"Oh it's not a problem." Long Ying took out a wig and played it with his hand. "I just need to hide my hair and changed it to this."

Yu Yan watched Long Ying intently as he tied his hair up then wore the wig. The wig was that of a short hair with black color. It made Long Ying had short bangs and wavy hair, but since it was short, it only looked messy.

"I don't like your new appearance."

"It's disguising." Long Ying didn't know whether to laugh or cry when he heard what his wife said. "If there's any problem in the company, report to me directly and I'll settle it with Liang."

"Cut it off, he couldn't possibly oversee thousands of employee personally."

"Tsk."

Yu Yan watched as Long Ying combed his new hair carefully and tilted her head. "Is there any reason why you keep your hair long? I mean, you can just cut it short, right?"

"It's the tradition. Unless I give up the seat as the Dragon Clan Head, I have to keep my hair at least the shoulder length." Long Ying put the comb away. "I'll tell you more about my family later. Take care, Yan'er."

"En."

This was the second time Long Ying told her that he would tell her later about his family. Yu Yan was curious but she didn't want to nag him endlessly. She was sure that there must be something about his family that he never told other people's before.

'Well, I better head to work.'

Since An Lin was still busy training, it was Lan Huo who drove Yu Yan to Zhang Corporation where she would have her new work from now on. On the way, Yu Yan checked the newspaper and smiled.

Breaking News, the engagement between Yu Xin and Bao Tu had some secret dealings.

Yu Yan was sure that Yu Family would be lively during this time. But this was only the start as she was sure that Bao Family would have their means to suppress the news down. 

She chose to push the thought back as it was time for her to work. 

The building was far bigger than the one in City F and had many more employee compared to there.

Yu Yan walked inside while Lan Huo waited outside. There were also Long Ying's men inside, so he was not that worried that something will happen to Yu Yan with so many of them protecting her.

"Miss Yu?"

"Yes. I'm transferred here not long ago." Yu Yan reported to the manager there, Manager Elise.

Manager Elise looked at the report for a moment then nodded. "Follow me, you'll be in charge of two artist group and make sure that they do their work properly. Each group consist of three to four people."

Following Manager Elise, Yu Yan headed to the seventh floor. There were a lot of people there, busy working here and there.

"I'm sure that CEO Zhang is the same whenever he appears in, so he'll surely tell you that he likes efficiency the most. Here is the same, your task will be to monitor them and to give them direction of their work."

Yu Yan took the folder that Manager Elise handed to her. Her eyes widened when she saw the name of the project. "This is…?"

"CEO Zhang wants to make new type of sweet but it's not done yet. We're tasked to prepare for the wrapping and advertisement first. These two here are in charge of advertisement for the television. The concept is still vague, but we need to prepare in case the CEO suddenly ask us to speed up again." the manager let out a wry smile.

Yu Yan nodded. Her eyes were still staring at the name of the sweet. Other people didn't know but she certainly knew that the name Zhang Liang picked for the next sweet… was his wife's name.

'Right, it'll be Mian'er birthday soon. I guess I have to hold back my greetings to her until Zhang Liang give out his presents, huh?"

Keeping the folder away, Yu Yan walked to the section and talked to the leader of the two groups. The first leader was a man in his thirties. He looked dependable and had a lot of confidence in his work. If not for his apparent black mark under his eyes, that was the result of working night time lately, she was sure that his words would look even more confident.

The second one was a woman in her late twenties. She was a rather quiet person but she did her work efficiently and will ask whenever there was something she didn't understand.

"Alright, I'll be your manager for the time being. The concept is not that clear yet, but there's already some hint so we can start to prepare…."

Yu Yan was not a stranger to arts, so she began to explain what they were supposed to do. After she finished briefing them for their work, she contacted the other manager to know how their advertisement doing along with the wrappers.

Looking at how dead they looked like, she could guess the reason.

CEO Zhang decided to give this present to his wife at last minute or at least, it was something that was just decided not long ago.

'He better gives us bonus for working overtime this month.' Yu Yan thought and collected the paper. But more than anything, she hoped that Feng Mian would be happy with the present Zhang Liang gave to her.

Time passed swiftly.

The work just got busier and Yu Yan rarely met with Long Ying aside from morning or night time since he was also caught up in some work. After the announcement of the new sweet and the heartwarming scene from television about Feng Mian, Yu Yan was still busy with work. The announcement was only the start.

Start of hellish work.

There were a lot of things that they needed to do and today, they got another project.
