2 Years Of Restarting

"Uncle, this is my wife," Long Ying cut her words because he noticed that she was hesitant.

As expected, Long Shao Han's expression changed when he heard their introduction.

Yu Yan was nervous and her hand gripped Long Ying's hand tighter. She didn't know how she should interact with Long Shao Han because she could see that he didn't accept the news that well.

"I see. You have grown up, Ying." Long Shao Han nodded and said plainly.

Long Ying patted Yu Yan's hand. "Please bring us some drinks. I'm sure Uncle is tired after making the long trip here."

"Okay."

It was just an excuse, but Yu Yan knew that Long Ying would need to talk privately with his uncle. Internally, she was wondering whether it was actually a good idea to stay here. However, she didn't want to leave Long Ying no matter what.

After Yu Yan left, the temperature dropped by several degrees.

"Long Ying, are you serious about this?" Long Shao Han asked in harsh tone. He looked at his nephew with an 'I can't believe you did this' expression. It was clear that he didn't think that the young brat he used to know would actually make his move and got married without even telling the others.

Long Ying nodded. "Yes."

"You're not a kid anymore, so I'm sure that you have already thought about the consequences of someone in your position to get married." Long Shao Han closed his eyes. "You still want to continue?"

"Yes, Uncle. I have already thought everything."

"You brat…" Long Shao Han sighed and rubbed his forehead. "If your father disagrees, I won't be able to help you."

"He won't disagree." Long Ying pursed his lips. "Does he even care what I'm doing?"

"Well, there's that too." Long Shao Han rubbed his chin when he thought about his older brother. However, he didn't seem to care that much about the other party. "In any case, you just have to make sure that you're careful enough. If your enemies caught your weakness, you won't be able to live peacefully."

"I know, Uncle."

Long Ying was firm in his decision and Long Shao Han knew that nothing would be able to change this brat's mind. He thought for a moment before he felt that the young woman was quite familiar. "Is she the one whom you met in High School?"

"Yes, Uncle, do you still remember her?"

"How can I not remember her?" Long Shao Han scowled. That was the first time in his life he saw Long Ying rebelled. The brat never had any opinion on his own and treated his life the same as he was treating trash. But when he saw how much Long Ying worked hard for some unknown girl…he had to know.

However, Long Ying's position at that time was too risky. Adding another weakness to the young Long Ying, who was still growing and didn't have much influence, was the same as threatening himself. There was no way Long Shao Han would possibly let Long Ying destroyed everything because of an impulsive decision.

The young Long Ying himself also understood that and chose to never confess. 

She was his first love, but he didn't dare to confess to her because of his dangerous position. He could only slowly distance himself from her and hope that she would be happy with whoever she picked.

It pained him to see her with someone else other than him, but what could he do? He couldn't possibly pull her in his dangerous world when he was still very weak. If he lost her, he would regret it forever.

What he wanted was to see her smiling forever. Even if it was not directed at him, at the very least, she's smiling.

That was enough.

Or at least, that was what supposed to happen. 

However, he heard from his subordinates that she went crying last year because of a broken heart. If not because he was caught in some tricky situation, he would have come here. 

Thankfully Yu Yan managed to recover and gained a good friend from that incident. He could only send his men to keep watch of her and reported to him if there was something unusual covertly. His enemies were not allowed to know that he was paying attention to a woman or they would target her.

He had to be careful in his movement so that no one would notice his unusual affection towards her.

And then…

He received news that her boyfriend cheated on her again.

The news baffled him so much. It was also astonishing how those two would end up being bewitched by Yu Yan's sister. He also understood that unless Yu Yan found someone who would love her wholeheartedly, it would be hard for her to find a partner.

This time, he could no longer be patient as he felt that his heart was filled with so much rage that he wished to kill those who dared to make her cry. He didn't even dare to do anything bad to her in fear that she would be unhappy.

But those people just do what they wanted and harmed her so terribly. He wanted to watch over her and seeing that she came to him… he made a decision.

He would never let her go again.

This time, he would be the one by her side so that she would not be crying ever again. He would make sure that she'll be happy by his side.

"This time, I'll properly protect her. Don't worry, I won't let Dragon Clan be in dangerous position just because of her presence, Uncle."

"You better keep your word or I'll make sure to personally skin you alive. Before the next generation was born, you're not allowed to die."

Long Ying pursed his lips and nodded without a care. In Long Family, his real task was simply to stay alive and assumed the position of Dragon Clan Head. When there was someone else who was more suitable to be in the seat, he just had to guard it until the person grew up.

"Don't worry, I won't be like you who didn't dare to pursue the one you love."

Long Shao Han nearly choked to death because of his nephew words. "You brat! Don't you dare to bring it up again!"

"I'm merely saying the truth."

"Hmph!"

Knock! Knock!

"Come in."

"Ying, there's only some tea and milk, so I make milk tea and tea. Would Uncle Long like tea?" Yu Yan asked with a tray on her hand. There were several glasses on top of it.

"Don't worry, I like tea. Let the brat have the milk tea!" Long Shao Han replied in Long Ying's behalf.

Long Ying arched his eyebrows but he didn't reject it. He often drank milk tea and the taste was not that bad.

"Alright."

"Oh, right, your name is Yu Yan, right? Now that you're this brat's wife, I should properly give you gifts… eh wait, where's my wallet?"

Yu Yan blinked her eyes when she watched Long Shao Han fiddled with his pocket and searched for his wallet. Why did she think that this uncle… change his opinion so quickly?
