Kang Mao Lan was stunned when she heard what Long Ying said. There was only one thought that crossed those who were near enough to listen what he said.

Domineering!

Looking at the man's neat appearance, he did look handsome and a bit eye catching. However, it was hard to erase the memory of the lawyer telling her that this man was an unemployed man who didn't even have a proper job. She looked at Long Ying and furrowed her brows.

"What did you say?"

"Don't disrespect my wife. You're not even present when she's in the hardest period of her life and now you want to dictate her life? She's better off married away than to stay with cruel parents like you," Long Ying added with cold glint.

As a person who spent his life in the underworld, it was clear that Long Ying's gaze was filled with killing intent. It was easy for someone to feel intimidated when Long Ying looked at the person hostility. There were not many people who dared to look at him directly in the underworld and it was not without reason.

"I know how you leave her to live alone in the capital city. I know you drive her out of your home because she didn't want to follow your arrangement for her study." Yu Yan grasped Long Ying's hand tighter. She didn't know why but she felt her heart grew increasingly warm with each words he uttered. He was protecting her openly and let her stay in his arm, away from these people who didn't know anything about her and only wished to take advantage of her.

Ah, she felt that her best decision in her life was to come to him and be truthful with her situation to him.

Yu Zheng Tong could see that his wife's face was getting increasingly dark. He patted his wife's shoulder and looked at Long Ying. "Do you come here to create trouble or to give your blessings to my second daughter?"

"Of course to give our blessings. But aren't you the one who come forward first and ask us to have divorce?" Long Ying asked back. He didn't even bother greeting Yu Zheng Tong as 'Father' because he didn't think that it would be suitable for someone like him to be her father.

Heh, he didn't even greet his own parents with father and mother. These two people who didn't treat their daughter well would obviously not earn his greetings.

Yu Yan looked at Yu Xin and nodded. "Yu Xin."

There was no polite expression nor words. She was simply looking at her sister as if she was looking at a stranger whom she didn't know. With their current relationship, it was not weird for her to not look at Yu Xin's unfavorably.

"Thank you for coming. I didn't think that you'll come, Sister," Yu Xin said with a smile and moved forward to pinch her mother's hand. She wanted to warn her mother to not speak out of the line and just let her be the one to handle this matter.

"I have nothing to do, so why shouldn't I come." Yu Yan shrugged. "Congratulations for your engagement and I wish you two to be together forever."

Yu Xin's face furrowed. "Sister, are you still angry?"

Yu Yan's words were said in indifferent tone without any emotion behind it. From the way it looked like, Yu Yan didn't seem to be willing to even say that much words to Yu Xin.

"Why should I be angry?" Yu Yan blinked her eyes then the corner of her lips curled to form a smile, making her beautiful face brightened even further. "Shouldn't I thank you for allowing me to see the cheating scum's real face."

"Yu Yan!" Bao Tu warned.

Long Ying stepped forward and glared at Bao Tu as if challenging him. If he dared to raise his hand against Yu Yan in public, he would have earned scolding and might not even be able to redeem his image. From the very moment Long Ying saw the punch mark on Yu Yan's face, he had always wished to punch Bao Tu back and destroy the man's face.

This kind of man didn't deserve to be within 5 meter around Yu Yan.

Bao Tu stopped and glared at Long Ying. He still could painfully remember the time when he tried to catch Yu Yan but Long Yin interfered. At that time, Long Ying grabbed his wrist and nearly broke it. It was to the point that Bao Tu was surprised that the doctor told him that it was close.

The man's strength was not a joke and as a person who barely trained in martial arts, Bao Tu certainly wouldn't try to overstep his bounds.

Yu Yan looked at Bao Tu but she didn't even spare him any glance as she didn't deem him to be worthy. She looked at her sister and then tilted her head. "So, anything else you want to say, Yu Xin? Don't worry, I'm not like you and I will not try to snatch other people's boyfriend. Now that I'm already married to the best man, I will not even want to look at others in fear it'll pollute my eyes."

The crowds were stunned when they heard Yu Yan's words. They could only think of few words to describe Yu Yan right now.

She might not put it out bluntly, but there were already enough rumors saying that Bao Tu used to be Yu Yan's boyfriend but now he became Yu Xin's fiancé instead. There were no lack of rumors in the upper society and this was certainly hot news.

"Don't spout lies!" Kang Mao Lan was annoyed.

"Mom, let me handle this. You should rest back and don't get agitated." Yu Xin immediately played the good daughter's card. In a country that respected parents' greatly, it was clear that everyone would look favorably upon a daughter who cared for their parents more than one who was a troublemaker.

Kang Mao Lan glared at Yu Yan and sneered. "Che, it's really my worst luck to have a daughter like you."

Yu Yan looked back at Kang Mao Lan as she thought about what she actually did in the past to the point of earning such hatred from her own mother. She could only faintly remember that when she was still young, her mother cared for her and Yu Xin equally, not even differentiating between the two of them and pampered the two girls greatly.

But at one point, Kang Mao Lan no longer looked at her in favorable light. She kept on giving demands on Yu Yan to produce great result but Yu Yan could not fulfill her expectation. She worked hard but she just not capable enough.

In the end, Yu Yan no longer saw her mother smiled at her as she was thrown to her grandfather's house.
