When we arrived back, the person on gate duty was shocked to see me outside the walls and asked when did I leave. I obviously gave him a proper response while Eden was hiding below a tarp with a few random things that we picked up to act as cover, "Not too long ago, I left along with the scavenging group. I was on the opposite side of the van, a blind spot." The guy nodded in a daze and I drove towards the driveway of our place before opening the garage then closing it after I parked my car inside.

With that, Edin and I went through the door of the garage which lead into the kitchen. I took the gun and stored it back inside of the bas.e.m.e.nt and put my M1911 inside of my inventory after coming back up, locking the bas.e.m.e.nt door behind me. I heard a knock on the door, it was Deanne and she seemed serious. I greeted her and invited her, settling in the living room. I knew Edin was ease dropping since her scent was close but I allowed it and asked Deanne, "What brings you here today?" I didn't know until realization dawned on me, 'Gabriel!' Deanne didn't beat around the bush and directly asked, "Have you cannibalized?" I sighed and answer, "Yes." She paused for a moment and asked a very simple question, "Why?"

I looked up towards the ceiling and began my perfect act, "I was hungry and the one who I ate had tried to kill me. I don't know if any one of you were starving to death here but I don't think so considering the well maintained supplies, but I was hungry and I did what I had to do." Deanne stared at me, trying to see if I was lying. Seeing that I wasn't she asked one more question, "What do you think of Rick?" I smiled as I looked at the ceiling, "Commendable. I don't regret meeting and saving him when we first met back in Georgia." She nodded and left my house.

Edin came out and sat on recliner while watching me stare at the ceiling. It was silent and she eventually asked, "You ate another human being?" I began to get angry because of Gabriel and the fact that I had forgotten about him being a coward during the first few seasons that he appeared on the show. I began to grit my teeth and ball my hands into a tight fist, drawing blood. [Warning, host is recommended to calm down. I sighed and turned towards Edin, I gave her an honest answer, "Yes, I have... Do you know how the dead came back to life?" Edin shook her head no. I smiled and said, "I'll tell you another time, I don't think it's time to tell you yet. Are you hungry? I can make you anything that you want."

Edin got up and patted me on the back, wiping the forced smile from my face and she said to me, "I don't care if you eat people to live." Edin leaned down and hugged me tightly before continuing, "I just don't want you to die, you could be the most evil person but I wouldn't care." I began to cry a bit and asked with a croaked voice, "Why?" The words that she spoke, caused me to cry harder. "You took the responsibility to be my guardian even when the world is ruled by the undead. After today, I don't just see someone who became my guardian; I see a man who's my family, a man who would do anything for his family."

I hugged Edin after I finished crying my eyes out and we both got up from the couch, I smiled and asked, "What do you want for dinner tonight? You can ask for anything and I'll make it happen." Edin thought for a moment before saying, "I want a steak along with fries. Can you do that?" I said with confidence, "Yes, I can." With that, I went into the kitchen and began to cook after getting everything I needed from the system. My balance? [Z-Points: 100] Yep, I might have to go find that quarry and summon a bunch of explosives to kill them.

While I was cooking, someone knocked on my door and I asked Edin to answer it for me. Shortly after Edin answered the door, they came to the kitchen where I just finished cooking Edin's food. I motioned for Edin to take the plate of blood and then I looked towards the one who came, it was Maggie. I gave her a smile and asked when I knew Edin left to the living room, "Gabriel mentioned something along the lines of, "Jin is a monster who eats people!" Right?" Maggie gave me and nod before saying, "He's also trying to paint all of us as the devil and his minions. What do you think we should do?" I smiled and said, "I've already been cleared, I said I was starving and had to eat someone who tried to kill me. But for you all, don't do anything. I've already established myself in the events are soon to follow, since I was at the run I'll eventually receive questions on what happened. Nicholas is going to dig himself a pit while he builds us a small mountain."

Maggie nodded and left, so I went to join Edin in the living room. The scene that I saw was her practically shoving the cut up slices of steak down her throat. I sat down on the recliner, she was using the coffee table as a table while on the sofa. When she finished, she asked if Maggie asked about my 'cannibalism' and I shook my head no. Edin's then asked, "Where did you get steak from? I doubt you've been stashing and breeding cows." I laughed since breeding cows sounds like a great idea since I used to love steak but sadly can't eat it anymore, "It's a trade secret, but I'll let you in. It was magic." I nodded as if it was the correct answer to everything in the world and Edin g.r.o.a.n.e.d from the answer, but didn't pry.

I smiled and said, "Make sure to clean your dishes. Don't worry about the pots and pans, I'll get them so go brush your teeth."
