Later the same day, the scavenging group had already returned and Deanna received the news of her son's death. The reason why Deanna didn't get the news earlier and visited me is due to the group spending more time focusing on Tara and taking it slow by avoiding bumps on the road. It was about to become night as I was walking down the road towards Jessie's house.

Arriving at Jessie's door, I knocked on it and it was Pete who answered the door who then asked, "What are you doing here?" I smiled and pushed him out of the way as I gave him my answer, "I'm here to take Jessie away from your beating. I'm a therapist of this place, if I couldn't discern that by simply looking then how could I help patients?" The reason why I was interfering was because I received the first quest that I'm willing to do, many of the previous quests that I received over time was declined. Why? I don't accept quests for points, I accept them as motivation towards something I like.

I won't lie, I am a bit greedy for the bonus rewards. I went upstairs since that was where I smelled Jessie's scent along with blood, the scene I witnessed wasn't the worse of what I could of seen. Jessie was in her youngest son's bedroom, bleeding bit from the forehead as she cried on the floor. I sighed which caught her attention and she looked towards me, she tried to give an explanation and I simply raised my hand before saying, "Pack your things and both of your sons things, you'll be apart of my- no our family at our home, away from Pete." I made sure to say those things when Pete was coming up the stairs and just like how I predicted by his behavior, he went to punch me and missed due to me ducking. I came back up and uppercut his jaw perfectly before grabbing his arm then threw him over my shoulder onto the hallway floor. He was alive, gasping for breath due to getting the wind knocked out of him.

Jessie seeing what happened, nodded and I helped her pack everything with Sam's help. Ron came home fifteen minutes later and saw Pete knocked out on the hallway floor upstairs; seeing his little brother and mom packing, he began to pack his things. Ron loves his father but due to the abuse he doesn't mind the fact of living away from him as long as his brother and mother are happily safe. Everything was packed and we left, Ron carried his own belongings while I carried Jessie and Sam's belongings as we made our way to my home.

I began to tell them about my house and gave them the few rules that me and Edin had. "I'm sure you all will like it at my home, though it's on the other side of Alexandria. But Edin and I have a few rules, they're not much and easy to follow. The bas.e.m.e.nt is off limits; If you are going to be up all night don't sneak out or be too loud; and this one is a new one for Ron and Edin, since I know you two are dating. You can't be together alone since you both are much too young to be doing the deed. I'm 19 and I haven't done the deed my entire life." Ron was a bit embarrassed while Jessie teased me a bit by poking at the fact that I was still a v.i.r.g.i.n. I said in a calm voice as if I was a sage giving my teachings, "I am a pure young man, although I am a pervert." Jessie and Ron laughed while Sam was confused on what we were talking about, Jessie said while holding back her laughter, "If you are perverted then you aren't pure." I looked at her shocked and said, "Are you telling me my entire life was a lie? Damn, I thought the only lie was the cake."

We joked around and all chatted, Sam asked if I could make cookies and Ron asked for my hobbies. Indeed I can make cookies and my hobbies? "My hobbies before everything started was collecting lingerie and playing games. I had display cases filled with lingerie, believing that one day I would find the right woman to wear them." Jessie pinched my arm and said, "That is proof that you aren't pure." I laughed and we just arrived at my house. I showed them around and where they would be staying; Ron and Sam in the guest bedroom, Jessie in the master bedroom since I could just sleep on the couch.

Edin was still awake when we came home and I told her, "I'll explain later, go back to watching your movie. Also you can't be alone with Ron, I don't need grandchildren yet." Edin said, "I don't plan on doing that anytime soon! I should be saying that to you since you might end up giving me a new brother or sister." I looked at her blankly and asked, "How did you know?" Edin looked at me and casually said, "It's pretty obvious." I nodded and said, "I would prefer another daughter. I would be too lazy to run around constantly playing sports with a son. It's easier just to sit still and get decorated with glitter while being told what to do."

Edin sighed and said, "That's sad since you aren't joking. How lazy can you be?" I gave her a thumbs up and checked my quest rewards.
