A Father's Duty

The next day, Noctis woke up feeling refreshed. Today, the army of the rain army is estimated to arrive at noon.

Noctis lightly kissed the forehead of the sleeping Irene as he went down and called prepared breakfast as usual. He then went up and put the food of the chipmunks and Irene's in her study table.

Noctis then called out onto the two androids and let them prepare the tools and ingredients they will be needing for today. He thought of bringing the two androids with him but they are not Dragonball android 17 and 18. They are just designs and their main parts is from GT robo. If they are, he'll gladly send the two to kill Acnologia.

After ensuring that the two is in good condition, he entered the farming space and what he saw astounded him, the tree of life is slowly budding, and you can already feel the vitality of the surrounding air.

Noctis then stared at the livestock that turned into spirit beast. They are affected by the vitality emitted by the tree of life and their feed is high quality goods as well. Noctis then upgraded the land twice and the land absorbed the surrounding ethernano as it tried to mix with the land and strengthen it.

Seeing the land being slowly transformed inside the farming space and outside, Noctis sat down cross legged and repaired his broken magic circuits. Noctis felt electricity ran through his body and instead of being hurt, Noctis felt like he was being tickled.

Noctis was electrocuted for an entire 30 minutes before stopping. After the electrocution, the repair process continued and slowly but surely, he could feel himself slowly being at the peak once more. After many years of being crippled, the Unrivalled Swordmeister Noctis is finally back.

Noctis clenched his hands as he felt the strength coursing through his body. He felt refreshed and felt like he could fight for a month straight without rest.

Noctis then thought of dipping in the second bath of the body refinement concoction but decided to set it aside as he thought he should be early to see the troops.

To be honest, Noctis don't need to do that anymore. With his strength back at his peak and his knowledge of different techniques from different worlds, he wants to test all of those out.

Noctis instead of using the teleportation of the system to be teleported back to the inn, he teleported at the backyard. When he entered the backyard, they felt it. Many strong people waiting outside the inn, felt it. The dominating aura engulfing the inn.

Irene woke up startled by the sudden release of aura as he decided to sense who is giving off such dangerous aura. When she finally knew who the person that's releasing such dominating aura, her tears couldn't help but fall down rapidly.

"He's... back. He's... finally back..." Irene sobbed as the guilt was finally freed from Irene's heart.

Noctis then noticed the mistake he made as he controlled the energy that was pulsing all around the place. If they were exposed to his aura for too long, it might distort reality especially he's a spacial mage. He reigned in all of the aura and locked it inside his body.

He noticed that Irene sensed him and he immediately teleported in front of the sobbing Irene.

"Dear... why are you crying?" Asked Noctis as he held Irene in his arms.

"You're finally back... You're completely healed.." Irene hugged him while trying to smile but her face is covered in snot and tears. Noctis then waved his hand as a towel appeared in his hand and wiped the snot and tears from Irene's face.

"Come on, dear. We've talked about this. I told you I only need time and I will be completely healed." Noctis said as he wiped the tears in Irene's eyes.

"Look at you dear, you're smiling while crying at the same time. Don't do that, it'll ruin your beauty, my love." Noctis said as he kissed Irene.

"I can't help it!" Irene complained as she beat Noctis' c.h.e.s.t.

"I'm finally back my dear. Want to see me in action once more?" Noctis asked and Irene nodded.

"In bed or in battlefield?" Noctis said as Irene reddened as she punched Noctis c.h.e.s.t a little hard but Noctis didn't budge at all which surprised Irene. Noctis used the cooking magic and augmented his c.h.e.s.t with a frying pan resulting in a strong defense.

"What was that?!" Irene exclaimed in surprise.

"I augmented myself with a frying pan? Other than Space and Gravity magic. I got myself a cooking magic from that orb as a reward." Noctis said to a dumbfounded Irene.

"I see. Looks like you don't need anyone's help on fending off that army." Irene said.

"Although I don't need help in the battlefield, just having someone wait for me to return home with open arms is enough for me." He said as he kissed Irene's forehead.

"Take care of the kids while I'm gone. You can order the androids if you need help or something." Noctis said and Irene nodded.

Noctis then carried Irene in a princess carry and laid her down her bead and gave her a deep kiss before teleporting back to their backyard.

Noctis then picked up a rock and marked it with a spatial mark before throwing it full force at the direction of Alvares.

The rock's speed broke whistled through the air as Noctis waited for the perfect timing before teleporting instantly at the mark.

The rock due to fast speed turned into dust after Noctis teleported to Alvares.

He immediately went through Irene's squad camp to meet up with Juliet and Heine. When he reached the camp, Juliet and Heine were already waiting for him or so he assumed.

"Eh? Where's mistress Irene?" Asked Juliet.

"She's not coming. They hired me to replace Irene in this war." Noctis said and the Juliet was still confused but Heine got the gist of what happened.

"Anyway, we need to meet with the other spriggans. We need to make a solid plan to defeat the enemy army." Heine said and motioned him to follow.

Noctis didn't say anything and just followed her. He is kind of curious as to who the current Spriggans are.

When they reached the main camp, the guards didn't know whether to stop Noctis or not but Heine botched for him as they went inside the tent.

Although he is outside the tent, he could hear the discussions and arguments inside the tent.

"It seems that there are two factions inside fighting." Noctis muttered.

When he entered the tent, the others noticed him and the crowd went silent for a few seconds. The silence was broken by Leroy who called out to me.

"Mr. Noctis. You're finally here." Leroy said and motioned for me to sit down.

"What?! Isn't he the commoner husband of mistress Irene?! Who is he to represent Mistress Irene?!" Said a young Polt. The others didn't say anything as they want to know the reason why he is here.

"He's the one who hired me. And you youngster, be careful. You're tongue might slip out due to your rashness." Noctis said calmly.

"What are you going to do to me, huh? can you even defe-" He didn't manage finish what he's speaking because Noctis held his tongue with a wooden sword in his hand.

"Do you believe me if I said, even something like wood could cut you down?" Noctis said still calm as he slowly pulled out Polt's tongue.

The others didn't manage to see what happened. If it is speed then they would've felt the air vibrate but they didn't notice any vibrations in the air. It was like he placed himself in front of Polt and grabbed his tongue.

Polt was about to unleash his magic due to humiliation but a voice stopped him from doing so.

"Enough! We're here to discuss how to fend off Rain Kingdom's army! You can do your petty squabbles after we drove out the enemies!" Khris said to all of them but Noctis still didn't let go of Polt's tongue.

"Let's go out. You can discuss your strategies here. I'm sure that this man wouldn't contribute anything anyway. It's been a long time since I've taught someone a lesson." Noctis said and he didn't wait for anyone's approval as he teleported outside the tent

"I like him even more. He's handsome, strong, I'm pretty sure he got a big package down there as well as the stamina to back it up." Jeanne said as she licked her lips.

"If I were you, I wouldn't." Leroy warned her but he didn't say the reason why. His instincts as someone who lived for many years is telling him that whatever comes Noctis' way is gonna be obliterated.

"No way. Why should I stop? I'm sure that my beauty doesn't pale in comparison with Irene." She said in confidence.

"Your call." Rhodes said as Khris finally called their attention to deal with the incoming threat.

After teleporting outside the tent, many soldiers saw the spriggan, Polt, being held by the tongue by a man holding a wooden sword.

"Le' go o' 'e!" Polt said as he unleashed fire magic in his left side but Noctis just tapped one of his nerve points in his left arm with his wooden sword and his left arm lost the feeling. Polt didn't know what happened. Polt then unleashed the water magic with his right arm but once again, Noctis used the wooden sword and tapped on a nerve point and he lost the feeling on his right arm.

At this point, Polt is feeling something he could only feel in front of their King, August, and Irene. Fear. Compared to the three, the fear he felt from Noctis is coming from his existence. Even his cells are feeling afraid of Noctis.

"Now where were we. Oh, that's right. We're going to fight right? Don't worry I'll remove your restrictions and fight you fair and square. We just need a big plot of land to hold our fight." Noctis said as he dragged Polt by the tongue. His grip on his tongue is like an eagle's grip hurting Polt in the process. He felt like his tongue is gonna come off any second now.

After finding a huge plot of land, Noctis unblocked the restrictions on Polt and threw him on the ground.

"Stand up. You're confident in your abilities right?" Noctis said. While he is talking with Polt, he is talking to Hollow Noctis as well.

'How about it, want to thrash this kid with a wooden sword? Using an real sword is a disgrace, he's not worth it.' Noctis asked Hollow Noctis as he felt excited. He didn't care if its only for a limited time or only a wooden sword, he would get to battle with different opponent.

'Sure, put me in!' Hollow Noctis said excitedly as he took over Noctis' body.

'Oh well, Good luck, Young man.' Noctis said to the young Polt who is touching his tongue and glaring at him at the same time.
