A Father's Duty

Noctis' demeanor and aura changed from a cold one to a wild one. His eyes turned from cold into a crazy look in his eyes. Polt couldn't believe what is happening in front of him. Its as if his opponent unleashed a new persona inside of him.

Hollow Noctis stared at young Polt in front of him and mocked him by looking down on him making Polt enraged. He had never been humiliated like this before. His anger swallowed his fear and he couldn't care less anymore what happens from now on. Fire and water appeared on both sides of his body and he mixed them together as steam covered the surrounding area.

Hollow Noctis just stood there waiting for the party tricks to end. A gush of water is heading straight his way. He dodged it by simply sidestepping. Another gush of water appeared after sidestepping and he dodged it by tilting his head to the side. It managed to graze his skin but he didn't utter any word and just looked at the direction where the pressurized hot water is coming from.

"Is that all?" Hollow Noctis said in a mocking tone.

"If that's all then its too disappointing then." Hollow Noctis said as he shook his head.

While the steam covered Hollow Noctis' field of view, Polt is using the steam by slowly making a water barrier slowly entrapping hollow Noctis within. When the barrier is complete and Hollow Noctis is enclosed inside, he dispersed the steam and looked at Hollow Noctis inside yawning.

Polt then started heating the water barrier and controlling the water barrier to enclose Hollow Noctis inch by inch and he had a sadistic smile on his face. He wants to see his reaction if his skin is burned by the intense heat.

Unfortunately for him, Hollow Noctis' sliced the water barrier to pieces like its nothing

'Hey, why did you give me this weakling? I'm out, deal with him yourself.' Hollow Noctis said as they swapped control of the body once more.

Polt saw Noctis' figure changed demeanor once more and the crazy and wild demeanor was gone and the calm and coldness came out once again. He could feel the chill biting his bone.

"Come. Is that all you can do with that fire, water, and steam of yours?" Noctis asked with a bored face. He thought he'll be able to at least fight at a decent level. Sure, he's got a good strategy of trapping opponents with the pressurized water barrier, but if that's all then he won't be able to excite Hollow Noctis at all.

'Maybe he won against all his enemies with that strategy that's why he didn't bother creating something stronger than that?' Noctis thought and its time to end this farce.

Noctis marked his wooden sword and threw it to Polt. He would like to try his gourmet demon's go to move every single time. Polt saw the wooden sword and thought of dodging it. Contrary to his expectations before the sword reached him, Noctis appeared in front of him and with his off-hand he grabbed Polt's face and slammed it into the ground.

'Damn, that feels good.' Noctis thought as he removed his hand from the unconscious Polt.

Noctis then dragged Polt back to the tent, when he neared the place, he could hear the discussions still not done so he went inside and threw the unconscious Polt like a dirty rag at the side and sat down on his seat beside Leroy.

Many of the spriggan were shocked to see the unconscious Polt and even more so when they saw that Noctis didn't have a single injury at all. Many of them were shocked except Leroy who knew what Noctis is capable of. They want to scold Noctis for cutting their strength when a war is currently going on.

"I've beaten the kid quickly and you're still not done discussing strategies?" Noctis said to Leroy who's beside him.

"Apologies but the enemies are strong this time." Leroy said as the talks continued and Noctis just listened in.

It was at that time when a soldier came in and reported a grave news.

"The Rain Kingdom's army has arrived! They are setting up their siege units!" The soldier said. Their prediction that the enemy army will arrive at late noon is completely off.

The fact that no one managed to even see or report about the rain kingdom's army enter their borders just means one thing. There's a traitor in Alvares camp and they sent a message to march on quickly because the scarlet despair will be coming. Or so they thought.

"Let's finish this, I have to go back and prepare for our family vacation." Noctis said and they looked at him weirdly.

'The enemy is right in our doorstep and you want to plan your family vacation?' They all thought.

"What? Let's go and meet this so called army of theirs." Noctis said as he went to the Kingdom's walls to see where the enemy army is.

He saw the Enemies' army setting up siege mechanisms one by one with the shield bearers at front. Enemy wizards at the back and long range casters at the far back.

"What are you all waiting for?! Formations!" Shouted Leroy as he amplified his voice so that all the soldiers could hear him.

"Hey, can your earth mages repair the surroundings after the war?" Noctis asked and Leroy looked at him weirdly.

"Yeah? They can? Why?" Leroy asked.

"Because my attack will cause so much destruction." Noctis said as he threw his wooden sword once more and landed in front of the army.

"What are you doing?!" Leroy asked as he panicked as he didn't know how will Noctis attack. He was shock once more when he saw Noctis teleporting into his thrown sword.

"Yo!" Noctis said to the shield bearers.

The shieldbearers didn't answer him but his aura scared some of those in the frontlines and took the attention of the enemy's army general.

Meanwhile Noctis observed the Rain Kingdom's army. They got good foundation, even in the face of someone many leagues stronger than them, they stood still and unmoving.

"Lets bring an end to this quickly." Noctis said but he suddenly can't move his body.

He started moving off his own accord. The shieldbearer split the way and the enemy's army general appeared in front of him.

"End what quickly?" He said in a haughty voice.

"Even a mighty man like you ended up being in my control. Aren't you ashamed?" He said but Noctis has a smile on his face.

"You can control blood huh." Noctis said and his words surprised everyone especially the enemy general.

"You know, tricks like these, tend to lose their effect when overpowered." Noctis said.

"What can you do?! You can't even move your body. Give me your sword! I will kill this man!" He said as he asked for a sword.

"You lost your cool because someone found out about your tricks? Aren't you ashamed?" Noctis returned the general's words to him.

A soldier gave him a sword and was about to stab Noctis when Noctis made his move.

"Shinra Tensei." (almighty push)

A huge force pushed all of the people in front of Noctis and he regained control of his body.

The soldiers from Alvares saw Noctis went on his own to confront the enemy army. They deemed him as a fool especially when he got caught by the enemy commander minutes after he landed in front of them. Now, the scene they saw in front of them made them gulp their saliva and scared at the same time.

"Now you don't have control of me, can you stop me now? Its time to end this, for real." Noctis asked as the enemy was still being pushed.

"Chibaku Tensei." (Planetary Devastation)

Noctis compressed his gravity magic into a nucleus and enclosed it in a small space before letting it float in the sky before he removed the space enclosing the nucleus.

Massive gravitational force started pulling the enemy towards the core. Stones, sand, dirt, horses, carts, provisions, soldiers, even generals were s.u.c.k.e.d into the core as they screamed for their lives. They tried using their magic to destroy the rock but it was useless as it just reformed itself by pulling the crushed stones and dust, others who could fly tried their best to fly out of its range but the gravitational pull is so intense that they can't escape at all and by the end of it all, A huge ball of rock is floating in the sky.

Everyone who saw it, etched the scene in their eyes. One person. One person obliterated an enemy's entire army with one move.
