A Father's Duty

All the spriggan saw the massacre in front of them. They can't believe that one man defeated the entire enemy's army that even they can't guarantee winning.

Noctis stood as he stared at the massive rock in front of him and thought of dispersing it when he can't move his body once more.

"It seems that you're still alive." Noctis said as he stared at the person stuck between pillars of stone.

Noctis under the control of the enemy general, took a sword and pointed it to himself.

"Even if we lost the war... as long as I kill you... it will all be worth it!" The general said.

Noctis then plunged the sword and the general thought that he managed to kill his sworn enemy.

*Ting*

The sword bent after striking Noctis' body. The general can't believe his eyes. He controlled Noctis to plunge the sword in his throat. IN HIS THROAT.

'How hard is his body?! Is he made of steel?!' The general exclaimed to himself.

"*Yawn* Look, I'm in a hurry, if you have anymore tricks, then do it now." Noctis said as he yawned making the general boil in rage but he couldn't do anything. His whole body is stuck and his internal organs were pierced by rocks and a sword that got s.u.c.k.e.d by the gravity.

"No more tricks?" Noctis said as he overpowered the general's control using brute strength. He summoned the fake zanpakuto in his hand and from the back, he swung the sword in full power.

'Getsuga... Tenshou!' Noctis thought as he fired it upwards, directly at the huge ball of rock. A huge crescent of condensed ethernano appeared from the swing and obliterated the huge ball of rock.

The observers once again, were shocked. Even Leroy who knew who Noctis was, is shocked at what he just saw. He then stared at the sword that Noctis is holding. The sword doesn't feel like it contains anything. Its as if Noctis is holding 'nothing.'. He can't feel any aura the blade emits.

A person who has killed a lot of enemies, his weapon's aura is bloodthirsty. Or a person who is confident that he could cut anyone or anything he wants, his weapon's aura would be sharp. But for Noctis? He can't feel nothing at all, its like staring at the abyss. But when Noctis makes a move, the abyss will stare back at you which will make your blood go cold because of fear. That's what Leroy is feeling right now, he stared at the abyss for too long and got the attention of the abyss.

"Hm?" Noctis looked back as he felt someone staring at his weapon.

'Hey, Zangetsu. Stop scaring the old man, he might kick the bucket if you keep it up any further.' Noctis said as he brought Zangetsu back to the storage space. He then picked up his wooden sword and threw it back to the walls of Alvares. Which he then teleported into.

There are lots of soldiers staring at Noctis. Some, of admiration, Some, of Jealousy, others, have perverted thoughts in their mind. But they didn't said it out loud and kept it to themselves... except for one.

"Hey, handsome. You're pretty strong. Seeing you obliterate the enemy army, it made feel excited down there. How about it? Want to have a taste?" Jeanne said but Noctis just yawned.

"Are you done?" Noctis asked.

"Aww, this is my first time getting rejected. It makes me more excited to stealing you." Jeanne said as she left and Noctis finally saw Leroy who is approaching him.

"Noctis, sorry, I've got to arrange the troops back to their camp." Leroy said.

"Does the spriggan have someone who likes to steal?" Noctis asked.

Leroy felt awkward because he knows who he's talking about.

"I apologize for her behavior but she is what she is. She's also the best assassin Alvares has produced so far." He said.

"Anyway, I'm here to get my reward." Noctis didn't mind as he wants to get the rewards and go home.

"Right, the rewards. This way." Leroy lead the way into the royal treasury.

Noctis saw the grand door which contains of all Alavares' wealth, right past this door. Leroy put in the proper runes in the door.

"Aren't you wary of me, a space mage teleporting here and stealing all of your treasures?" Noctis asked Leroy.

"You can try." Leroy smiled at Noctis. Although he is in awe of Noctis' strength, the king he served is no pushover, his majesty was the one who personally made this treasury vault and even inscribed it with powerful runes, all by himself, so he is confident that no one will be able to breakthrough here that even a space mage couldn't. His majesty could make an empire if he wants to due to his King's insight, knowledge, and the most important of all, strength.

The door creaked as if it was removing a huge boulder and finally, it opened up.

Noctis saw a towering mountain of gold in the center of it all but his eyes didn't wander at it. His eyes wandered more around the artifacts neatly placed like a bookshelf. It was like a huge library of artifacts waiting for their rightful owner.

Leroy is satisfied seeing Noctis' reaction as he led him inside the treasury.

"Do you guys really don't need the approval of the King if you want to take something out of this treasury?" Noctis asked him.

"Usually it is like that, but we are in dire need of help and the King is not with us as well as his right hand man. I will have to explain to them about our deal." Leroy said to Noctis. Also Leroy has something he didn't tell Noctis.

'The strong artifacts are with August-sama's spatial ring. The King also has a ring of his own where he stored all the herbs and artifacts he needs. Basically the artifacts inside treasure vault are most likely, trash and things unwanted by August and his majesty.' Leroy thought to himself. That's why he could agree on offering five artifacts to Noctis.

Noctis frowned after seeing the state of the artifacts inside. He could see the quality of these artifacts with the system's help and the artifacts are all bad. But after looking around at the vault, Noctis' had a smile on his face, you know what they say, 'You might be able to find some treasure in the mountains of garbage'.

He took 3 huge rock blocks, a worn out book, and a broken fishing pole. Leroy was confused after seeing what Noctis took. These are the trash quality artifacts and things that their King and August didn't need or didn't have much understanding of and he could see Noctis grinning after picking up 3 blocks of rocks, a worn out book, and a fishing pole? But he didn't care at all. He still believes that the artifacts inside this room are trash tiers.

Noctis moved the items back to the storage space and tried leaving a spatial mark to test out the vault. The moment the mark attached itself to the ground, it vanished into nothingness making Noctis surprised. He didn't dab on runes, and inscription very much but for his spatial mark to dissipate into nothingness? That's got to be something. Either way, he didn't want to come back here anyway. All of the things inside are trash.

After they left the vault, Leroy led him out and Leroy stayed to close the vault. Noctis was about to go out when a woman blocked his way.

"You again? Don't even try on seducing me, woman. You might not like the retaliation of Irene." He said as he stared at Jeanne who was waiting for him at the corridor.

"Oh, don't worry. You're gonna follow me on your own anyway." She said as she got closer while Noctis just stared her down.

When Jeanne got close to him, she put her hand on Noctis' c.h.e.s.t and started using her magic. Noctis suddenly felt a disruption on his soul and he suddenly can't move his body.

"So you're the spy, huh." Noctis said and Jeanne had a grin on her face.

"Spot on, but they wouldn't know that. You're gonna switch sides after all. My magic allows me to have control over souls. When I morph, I only change my soul and my body follows. Just stay there and let me modify your soul and replace your loyalty with Irene to mine." She said as she tried to modify Noctis soul.

[Warning: Host being taken over. Activating defense protocol.] The voice said in Noctis' mind.

But when Jeanne started modifying Noctis soul, her soul got s.u.c.k.e.d in instead as she stood there motionless. Noctis saw the entire process and was surprised that the system has a defense system for these kinds of attacks but it makes sense, it's the system after all.

"You might not know this, but there are 2 entities living inside my body. I wonder, what will happen if you meet the two of them? Two of them are far more scarier... than you. Although I only know one of them." Noctis said as she slapped Jeanne's hands and she fell down like a broken kite without a string.

After Jeanne got s.u.c.k.e.d inside Noctis' soulscape, she was in a dark space. She tried using her magic to get out but she can't its like someone trapped her inside and she can't get out.

"A woman got thrown in the wolves' den." A man with a huge broad shoulders said.

"Who cares about little lambs." Yujiro said with a sneer.

"You and your barbaric ways. Can't you be a little more classy?" The man said.

"Bah, who cares about how I act?" Yujiro said as he stared at the lost little lamb.

Jeanne started trying to escape because she felt huge pressure from the two of them. There is only one word that could perfectly describe the two of them.

'Demon.'

She tried using her soul magic to get her soul back to her body but she realized that she can't use magic at all. Its as if someone is stopping her from doing so.

"Little girl, escaping is impossible in this place." The man said.

"Who are you?! Where am I?!" Shouted Jeanne. She is slowly getting desperate after trying all of what she know of soul magic.

"Me? I'm Yuichiro. Hanma Yuichiro. As for my barbaric son, he's Yujiro. As for where you are, I guess you can call this your hell." Yuichiro said with a carefree look on his face.

'Maybe if I killed them, I will be able to escape this place.' Jeanne thought as she started using her body to seduce one of them and kill one of them.

She then slowly walked towards Yujiro and started surrounding him while bumping her body into his. Meanwhile Yuichiro has an amused look on his face, he thought of using this to tease his son.

Yujiro just stared at the little lamb grinding around him. Jeanne then jumped on Yujiro's back and hugged Yujiro from the back which made Yujiro frown. When Jeanne finally stabilized her position, she suddenly started choking Yujiro.

"Don't move or I'll kill him!" Jeanne said in desperation.

"Little girl, you can kill him if you can. But let me tell you this. I will not kill you... But he will." Yuichiro said and Yujiro's body is suddenly full of twitching veins as he slowly removed Jeanne's sleeper hold of him.

He then grabbed one of Jeanne's arm and slammed her down.

"Since the prey has offered herself to me, who am I to refuse?" Yujiro said as he picked up Jeanne before sending a punch to her gut making Jeanne stop breathing for a few moments.

Yujiro then got bored after seeing the prey not being able to receive his blow. He then slammed her one more time before leaving her to die as he lied down and yawned as he awaited for the time he'll be able to fight for real.

"You should blame the reason why you're here in the first place." Yuichiro said as he shook his head before sitting down and meditated.

Jeanne's soul then started disintegrating starting from the lower body. Jeanne then started regretting about what she did. If not for it then she would still be alive and all. When Jeanne was about to disintegrate completely, all she left in that place is a single tear before vanishing completely.

[Termination Complete] The system said.

"Oh." Noctis muttered as he can't wait to go home and properly look at what he got in the palace treasury as well as pack up for their vacation.

Now I'mma go back and hole up and watch Initial D first stage. Man, brings up so much memories. Time to binge watch, say Hi to cliff-kun for me when you see him somewhere.
