A God's Apocalyptic Entertainment

Chapter 53 - Oppressive

I held my swift blade out and looked at it as the people around me shivered, the pressure I was radiating was enough to stop them from moving, I didn't have to worry about them attacking me.

I stared at the blade as my mind became calm, and then I stabbed out.

There was no need to make the kill messy, so I aimed for the eye. If I had gone for the throat the amount of blood would have been high, especially if I nicked the artery. I also didn't go for the heart as accurately reaching it would be hard. I would have to navigate between the bones and organs to hit the heart and I wasn't confident.

Joel who was standing in front of me was deathly pale and could only stare, as the blade passed through his eye and straight into his brain.

"Argh!!!"

He let out a loud shout as the pain reached his mind, but it was quickly cut off. Once my sword passed through the brain his body muscles lost their strength and he crumbled. With the downward motion of the body my sword was freed without me doing anything.

The amount of blood that splashed out was minimal and the mess was nearly nonexistent. Exactly what I wanted.

I turned to Alan that was standing on my right and gave him a smile; I was surprisingly able to, at this minute. I had no qualms about killing them; I didn't even feel my emotions stir as I watched the end of Joel.

"Please no, I don't want to die!"

Alan found strength of mind to shout that out before I stabbed him as well.

Why would he beg for mercy at this point in time?

Just 30 seconds ago they were talking about killing other people to survive. I am only doing the same.

The light in his eyes also faded and I watched him die.

I finally turned towards Freezer that had lost his previous viciousness; he shook as he stood there and his mouth flapped open and shut. After doing so for a few second and then seeing no emotions in my eyes, he stopped.

He knew I wasn't going to stop at this point. His body calmed and I could tell that he was accepting what was about to come. I didn't disturb him as he did so, I would give him that.

His face returned to calm as he stared at me with a determined glint. He knew of his sins and the bad things he had done in his life.

Maybe this would be a relief to him?

Wouldn't it be a relief to leave this god forsaken world?

I stabbed my blade through his eye and he didn't move, instead he looked deeply at me. His stare wouldn't affect my heart; I wouldn't engrave his face into my mind to be thought of later. He wasn't a person that deserved that king of respect.

Freezer finally slumped to the ground and I moved my eye sight. Bending down to pick up their globes I pocketed them and moved on. I was now looking into the gate as a small crowd had gathered. The people that stood there were in different pieces of gear and had different looks in their eyes.

Some were happy, some were sad, some reproachful. I stared at each of their eyes and saw the conflicting emotions that some of them had. I sheathed my blade and started to walk in.

They backed off on reflex and looked at me warily.

(You have entered a town, No fighting is allowed during the protection period. If any fighting or death is committed thou shall be punished.)

A blue box popped up in front of my eyes and I knew why that group had been so assured of their safety, in here you couldn't hurt others.

It almost seemed like a small paradise if not for the last line of the box.

(Deducting 20 entertainment points for 1 day entry.)

I had finally found a reason to use the entertainment points and the viciousness of the god was on full show. 20 entertainment points might not be much for me who killed the infected quite easily, but to normal people and maybe even children this might be impossible to get.

It wouldn't be until you get more levels that it would become normal to have entertainment points.

To charge 20 points to stay 1 day would kill a lot of people.

If there was one instance of using entertainment points, there would be more. Looking at the buildings that resembled medieval houses, I could tell I would spend more entertainment points.

Just as I stepped into the town and got the blue message, I was confronted with a group making their way towards me. It was headed by a dashing looking man that was decked out in combat gear, a swift blade was at his hip and an aura of confidence radiated outwards.

He looked in my direction before looking at the dead bodies behind me. As he caught sight of them, I could see anger flash through them. With 15 people coming behind him, they were soon standing in front of me.

The person's eyes flashed and I knew he had used analyze on me, so I did the same back.

Name: Jonathan

Race: Human

S.e.x: Male

Age: 24

Level: 7

Class: Soldier, Centurion

My eyes shifted as I saw his level and his job. A new job had appeared. Logically the person in front of me must be the gang boss; with the class centurion I figured he was special. I could be wrong though.

The buffs from it I had no clue, maybe an increase in intelligence or something, honestly I didn't care anymore.

I had been apprehensive of the gang boss and these people before I reached the town; it was because I still had some of my self-reasoning from the past. Now that I looked at these people and looked at all their levels, I could tell that none of them could take me.

It was almost instinctual that something was saying I could take them, if I let loose, if it wasn't because I couldn't attack them in here, I would kill them right now.

Jonathan that was in front of me had an interested expression on his face as he saw that I was keeping my cool and didn't seem to care about his dead followers right behind me. He was probably a cunning person that assessed the situation differently.

By getting me on his side his power would grow etc, etc. I couldn't be bothered taking this line of deduction further as I saw him not caring about his followers. My impression of him was bad to begin with and now I thought even less of him.

His mouth opened and he showed a smile, it was very disgusting.

I didn't let him speak and let loose my aura, before I was physically sick.

It exploded outwards and I found my control of it was getting even better.

As it rolled out, a look of panic flashed through his eyes and he froze on the spot.

My eyes narrowed as I thought about what was important, I need to look through this town fast and get back to Ella, it was starting to get late.

"I'm going to go and look around the town. When I'm about to leave, I'm going to find you and drag you outside."

Even though I knew what was important I still spoke to this thing in front of me. I didn't even think of him as a person anymore, something in my head couldn't look at him as a person.

"And once you are out there, I'm going to kill you."

I gave him a smile as I slowly walked past him. I patted him on the shoulder before making my way into the town. If he was smart, he would leave the town now and run for his life.

I hope he didn't.

But.

I had more important things to do right now.
