A Journey Through...

THREE MONTH LATER

Ray had started to relax more at home, but that doesn't mean he stopped training, he had to get used to his abilities from the rings he got during the year.

He also learned he could increase how fast people cultivate by experimenting on his friends Jian Yin and Hong Yin, who through the first month of experimentation went from rank 11 to rank 15, which was pretty much insane if you don't count on a being like Ray existing, it turns out he can use his black-hole ability on a minuscule level, creating insanely small holes around them which sucks up spirit energy and pours it around and in their body, increasing their cultivation speed by X12.

Now you may be thinking, 'hey, how the hell is this useful to you Ray, you're justing wasting your time', well if your thinking this then your not thinking about this in the right way, what's the point in being in a group of monsters, where you're the strongest and everyone lags behind by some cultivation level, you see Ray in his previous life was a big fan of Douluo Dalu, and has read all of the main four stories(2.5 is included), he knows all the key events, and is future junior brother Tang-san is not gonna face the same atrocities as before, well not all of them, some actually helped him as well as all the other key characters in all the stories.

Anyway, back to the story...Ray was thinking about how he could break the news to his parents about him reaching rank 30+ already, well it's not gonna seem that insane as three months ago, as he did wait for a while (the extra three months) so it didn't seem suspicious a f.u.c.k that he's that fast and he didn't want his parents to ask questions.

And so we reach this point, roughly nine months ago Ray agreed to his dad's challenge of reaching rank 30 before he reached the age of 9, now Ray is almost 7, he was thinking of breaking the news once he reached the age of 8 but his cultivation would probably reach 40+ or maybe 50+ by then and then it would seem weird but then again he did have the system and his illusion abilities so it could work out.

1 YEAR LATER

Throughout the previous year, Ray made some really great progress, he had a sweet a.s.s birthday where many of the clan where celebrating, he helped his friends reach rank 20 in their cultivation, obviously, they didn't know and thought it was just luck and the work of their efforts, he also reached the rank of 47 which was within his expectation, as it seems that he reaches results quicker than others just by cultivating less than others, Ray just guessed that because his spirits are one of the highest and rarest attainable and one of the impossible he could put in way less effort and still get a better result.

As he was almost eight he decided he was gonna finally tell his parents that he reached the rank of 30 at dinner.

It was finally dinner time, Ray joined his parents at dinner but he didn't have his usual happy face and cute face, more of a serious face yet cute face because, well, he's still a goddamn child...halfway through dinner his father couldn't take it and said, "Ok, why do you have such a serious face, do you need to tell us something son?"

Ray stopped eating and looked at his father, "Yeah I do, remember when you challenged me to reach the rank of 30 before I reach the age of 9?", his father had a blank face before remembering, his face changed from curious to all seriousness, "Yeah, I remember, why?" His father had eyes that gave off the feeling that he didn't want to hear the right answer and yet he heard it...

Ray was still looking at his father and said, "Well, I reached it, I mean I reached the rank of 30!", a pause, no noise was heard in the few moments and then the sound of a fork and knife clashing against the plate was heard, the pair looked over at the women that they seemingly forgot was in the room as well, they looked at her face...

Her face had a smile but really it was anger, deep, deep anger, and then it was said, "Honey, I thought you said that he wouldn't be able to reach that rank till after he was 9, now he's not even 8, now he's gonna leave us...how are you gonna fix this?!!!!!", his father was sweating, hell you could smell it already, that's how much he was sweating and then he replied, "Sigh...I guess this just means that he just that much of a genius, we have no choice but to let him go, sigh...", and then he shook his head as to further entails that he now had no choice, but that didn't help him out at all, his wife stayed quiet but then said with a lot of spirit power going off, "DON'T GIVE ME THAT CRAP!!! YOU SAID HE WOULDN'T. BE. ABLE. TO. DO. IT!!!"

Ray's father gulped and said, "Come on, how was I supposed to know that he was more of a genius than we thought, heck I don't even know how he could reach rank 30 without...reaching...the forest...wait...how did he get new spirit rings without me?...", both his parents then stopped and looked at Ray still eating, in an out of place way, he was calm...too calm for the current situation, there was two spirit Douluo's fighting and he was just eating, not flinching or anything...

His mother was the first to speak, "Son...?", Ray stopped eating and said, in a calm way, "Yeah, mom?", his mother's voice went a bit icy and said, "Can you tell us who helped you get your spirit rings?", Ray gave a confused face like an innocent child, he tilted his head to the side and then acted as if it came to him and said, "Oh! Yea, when I needed someone to help me get new rings, dad was busy, so I went to grandpa instead, he helped when I needed my third ones as well!"

Ray then continued eating the massive amounts of food on the table like it was natural and all his parents did were look at him blankly, blink and look at each other, they nodded and they disappeared the very next moment.

In another house, two old people were drinking tea, the mood was calm, they calm off a peaceful, yet, dangerous vibe as they sit there drinking in peace and then the next moment they felt two familiar aurae's coming there way, they smiled for a second but that went away when the auras stopped in front of them.

Ray's mother was the first to speak and she said, "Dad, why didn't you tell us when Ray reached rank 30, heck, you didn't even mention anything when he reached the rank fo 20?!!", Ray's grandfather chuckled and said, "Calm down my child, I thought the boy would tell you himself rather than me having to tell you, it's the boy's own achievement, why would I need to tell you?", Ray's mother stayed quiet as she didn't have anything to retort with, like nothing, her mind went blank, and she thought, 'Dad's right, I can't really be angry with him, all he did was help Ray, and it was Ray in the first place who should have told us."

She then said, "U-um, sorry for breaking in dad, haha, I guess we should've thought of something else instead of running in hear...", "Oh, don't worry my child, it's a welcomed visit, you don't visit us that much anyway.", "Ok, mom we'll visit more then, hehe... oh right, dad, I have another question, when did you help him get his rings?", "Oh, hmm... from what I remember I helped him get his second ring a bit more than a year and a half ago and his third was less than a year ago, why?"(A/N: Grandpa doesn't actually remember, because he wasn't there, he just saying some lies for the second ring because he can't remember and for the third, he kinda remembers because of the cute face his grandson made when he asked him for help.)

Everyone in the room apart from Ray's grandfather froze because of what he said and thought, 'Wait...that seems way too fast the f.u.c.k!!!', and then only both of his parents were thinking, 'If he could reach that rank in less than a year, then what rank is he at now, and why did he wait to announce it up till now?!!', this confused them and then his parents said there goodbye to their elders and left towards home to question there son more but first they made a quick stop...

When the pair returned and went to the dining table they saw their son sitting their quietly, honestly it was a weird site, he was just sitting there in the quiet and alone.

The first one to break the silence was his mother, "Hey, son, what rank are you actually at?", Ray turned around and said with absolute confidence, "Oh, hey mom and dad, and I'm rank 35 right now", his parents stayed quiet for a second and then someone who Ray didn't know came in and whispered to the pair, "Yea...he's lying..."

Ray was confused but then he heard what the stranger said through the elements and thought, 'The f.u.c.k! How did he know I was lying!!!', Ray was sweating a bit from this new unwelcomed guest but then his thoughts were interrupted by his mother who said, "Well, son you must be wondering who my friend is, let's just say that one of his abilities is seeing through someone's lies, and guess what we just found out, you lied to us, your parents!", her tone was normal but quickly went icy when she said that...

Ray sweated more and more and then he heard his mother say something else, "I will ask you again, what rank are you really?", Ray stayed quiet because he didn't want to say but he had to, it was his mother who was asking, not a stranger, and not someone who would have any greedy thoughts towards him, "Sigh... rank 47...", he said this quietly but not quietly enough for his parents and their mysterious friend not to hear, they turned to face their friend and he said, "This time, he is telling the truth.", They both smiled and said, "Good you told the truth, now I gotta ask are you hiding anything else from us?", Ray thought he was out of the dark but then when his mother asked this he sweatdropped and didn't say anything put swayed his head back and forth as to say no.

This didn't make his parents happy and they couldn't figure out whether he was lying or telling the truth, "Son, that's rude, you should answer properly, use your words.", his mother said this but Ray, on the other hand, didn't say anything he just looked at his parents without saying anything, it was

a standstill.

And then he heard his dad finally say, "Sigh...son, I can't help you this time, I may be strong but this time if it's your mother I can't win, this is on you.", Ray looked at his father and shook his head as to say 'I get it' and he was serious he did get it, his mother was a literal monster, she could buff the shit out of her allies or she could go into battle herself and literally vaporises enemies, from the stories his father had told him of mother going against powerful evil spirit masters...it was a massacre...

And then he heard his mother say, "Alright if you don't wanna talk here then, we will just have to use a special technique on him to make him talk, you can't lie to your mother like this, hmph!"

His father was appalled by this and said, "Ok, I know you're angry but you can't be like this, you can't use that technique on him, I won't let you!", his father's voice went icy and the surroundings went really f.u.c.kin' cold!

Ray didn't want to see his parents fighting because well, they are his parents, you never want to see your parents fight and he said, "Okay! I will talk, but you have to tell him to leave!", Ray pointed at the mysterious man who could tell lie from the truth.

His parents stopped their small fight and looked at their son after he finished his sentence, his mother said, "Okay we will agree, junior brother you may leave!", the man nodded and left and quick as he came...

After a few moments, Ray said, "We can't talk here, we have to go somewhere more secretive.", his parents were confused but quickly agreed.

They arrived in a secure room where no one could eavesdrop, Ray then said, "What I'm about to show you is something, that someone shouldn't technically be born with, something that made my life easier when I go to get new rings or cultivate, I want you to never tell anyone else in our family about what I'm to show you, till I'm at least a spirit saint, okay?", they both nodded their heads at his seriousness.

Ray stood back and summoned his spirits and there rings, his eyes went silver with black dragon slits in them and his white and gold dragon claw with all purple rings around him, purple rings were on his right arm and on his eyes, this confused his mother and especially his father as he remembered one of his rings being yellow, but then he found his answer from his son.

Ray smirked and looked at father and said, "You must be confused dad, just wait.", this confused his parents even more and then they saw it, the ebony coloured rings hovering around there son, this shocked them to the very core, this action was practically impossible, "H-how do you have all 10,000 years old rings?!!", Ray said, "I have the ability to age things, people and objects, so therefore I can age rings.", they were dumbfounded, if he could age rings then it wouldn't matter what beast he could have, he could age them to the appropriate age, he could make them 100,000, heck, what stopping him from going higher than that!!

He then stopped them from questioning him further from putting away his eye spirit and ring and then showed only dragon claw, that changed to something else, this shocked them even more, he changed his spirit soul!!! But that was not the truth, he hid his spirit, not changed...

A white dragon with gold and silver around its scales was behind him, it was releasing a heavy suppression on his parent's spirits that shook in the presence of the spirit, "This is my true spirit soul, even higher than the lightning tyrant dragon, even higher than any dragon spirit in existence, it's name is the 'Dragon God's Avatar', the real avatar, of an actual god, it's also the reason why I'm so quick to cultivate and have no trouble getting more rings, the beasts actually wanna be my spirit ring when the sense my spirits, I like to think its funny and my final secret!"

His parents were, quiet, they were digesting the knowledge that their son gave them, it was o.b.s.c.e.n.e, but it was in front of them if anyone said to them one day that they would have a son who would have the strongest and most mysterious spirit possible and it would be the 'Dragon God's' a literal god...heck, there own clan was connected in a way to the dragon god, for its elemental control over all elements!

And now, their son was given a spirit...that was directly connected to THE DRAGON GOD! Who wouldn't be dumbfounded by this, but they weren't just dumbfounded, they were proud and also worried, then they both said, "We will keep this a secret, we see why you were worried to not say anything about any of this."

Ray nodded and then said, "Now that you understand and promise to keep it a secret, can we discuss me leaving in less than a year from now?!", his parents coughed at this, they knew that such a genius shouldn't be kept within the confines of their clan, then again they didn't know which school out there would be able to keep such a monster at their school, "Hey son, where are you planning to go once you go out of the clan?, Ray smiled and that made both his parents confused, "I'm planning to go to a school build for monsters... 'Shrek Academy'...", the pair were dumbfounded this sounded like the perfect place just by the fact that it was built for monsters but they haven't heard of such a place before, "Hmm...that doesn't sound like an academy we know though?", "Obviously, you guys barely go out in general, how would know!!?".

His parents wanted to retort but they couldn't, at all...indeed, they barely go out of the clan and if they do then it would be for the meeting with someone important.

The family continued their talk about what this school was and...

A year went by in a flash, Ray reached rank 55, it seems his cultivation, slows down a bit, as he goes along the line of ranks and levels( I will post the rest of his new abilities from rank 40/50 in the auxiliary chapter page maybe after this post),

Now, it was time for Ray to leave the clan as he had the sufficient cultivation, he was in front of the clan gates saying goodbye to his friends who both said, "The next time we meet, we gotta spar, okay?!!!", Ray smiled and nodded, next was his grandparents and parents, his grandma hugged him and kissed him on the head, and his grandpa ruffled his hair and gave him and hug, same for his father, but for his mother, it was a bit different...she had a tear in her eyes when he looked at her, he sighed and she gave him a kiss on the cheek, then she hugged him tightly, too tightly, he was suffocating, hell, even [Ridley] was giving warnings, "Ding!... Ray, you are losing oxygen, you are advised to let go or teleport away from your mother!", Ray just looked at it and swiped it away without thought and looked at his grandpa, who looked back at him confused for a second but saw that he was losing colour in his cheeks, he realized he was pleading for help, so his grandfather stepped forward and quickly separated the two, Ray gasped for air and fell on the floor, hyperventilating for the air to circulate from his lungs to his heart again, his father and grandma were also confused but quickly realised what happened, his grandma quickly went to check if he was okay and his father slapped his face and said aloud, "My god, I mean we are gonna miss him but that doesn't mean you can just strangle him to sleep, what kinda parenting is that!!!", shaking his head and looking at his wife crying on the floor whit her father next to her he sighed and thought, 'The years without him will be long...'

Ray got up with his grandma's help and looked and shook his head at his mother's crazy love antics and thought, 'Jeez, just how much can one love another, even my past mother wasn't this obsessed with keeping me close!'

After another goodbye to all his friends and family, he walked out of the gates with all the things he would possibly need and left for the one and only home of monsters, 'Shrek Academy!'
