A Journey Through...

Ray began walking around, familiarising with the scenery around him, 'Nothing's really changed...', he breathed in and out began walking towards his home...

Soon enough he was home, the familiar building in front of him, the brick looking as if he saw it yesterday and the grass looked as fresh as the first time he stepped on it, he began walking towards the door and when he was a step away, he stopped, he slowly put his hand out and was about to knock on the door but stopped, 'Okay, you can do this! It's only been like 8 years! Shit... mom must have been sad while I was away and dad...maybe he found out I took some of the money? Nah, it's not like he's stingy enough to keep count, right? Let's do this!', he then thought about his time when he was home and then smiled, he stopped hesitating and slowly knocked on the door 3 times.

He waited for a moment before he heard an unfamiliar but pleasant voice come from the other side, "Hold on! I'm coming!", 'The hell? Who's that?', thought Ray, when the door opened he didn't see anyone until he looked down and saw a little girl who had an adorable and puzzled face, "Um, can I help you Mr?", 'Mr? Mr my a.s.s, I'm only 17!', and then Ray replied with, "Uh, yeah but first can you tell me who you are?", "My name's Meifeng Yin and are you looking for mommy and daddy?", she tilted her head and Ray widened his eyes and thought, 'mommy and da-...oh...f.u.c.k! I have a SISTER!! This is what the surprise was?! Holy shit! Gramps you bastard, this is what you said was the surprise?! Hahaha!', Ray chuckled, kneeled down towards the same height as his new sister and rubbed her head, she closed her eyes and smiled while humming and then she quickly opened them and said, "Oh, I'll go get mommy and daddy!", but then the voice of a man came out from the house, "No need, daddy's here!", "Daddy!", the girl ran up to him and went for a hug which the man accepted and then he picked her up and then the man looked at Ray who was still at the door and he also widened his eyes and had a tear in his eye which he quickly wiped away and said, "I-Is that really you?", the man said and then the girl out of curiosity said, "Hm? You know him daddy?", but she was ignored and pouted but then she was shocked at what she heard, "Yeah, it's me, dad. It's been a while hasn't it, you haven't changed a bit from when I last saw you, heck even got me a little sister, haha...", Ray did the same as his father and wiped the tear in his eye away, the room was quiet for a brief moment but then Ray's dad said, "You really know how to come, don't you, 8 long years...your mother's been worried you know, quick come inside, she went out to get some things for dinner, we need to surprise her!", Ray nodded his head and then the second his foot touched the inside of the house, the memories came back of all the times he would run out and play, cultivate or train and smiled, 'I've missed this place', Ray's father put down his new sister and went in for a bear hug with his son, "You've grown!", "Yeah...", after a minute he let go and his father said to him, "You've got to tell me all about your adventure's and...what you did with the money you took from me!", 'Oh shit! He realised?! How the f.u.c.k?! There are hundreds of thousands in there and you're telling me you care for the small a.s.s percentage that I took?!!', but then he sighed and then he said, "I used it as investment dad, you can have the money back if you want?", "Nah, but just tell me what you used the money for?", "I made a trading company with it and if I do say so myself I've done pretty well so far. But if you wanna know what I've done so far then your gonna have to wait for mom to come back.", his father nodded his head and didn't ask any more, on the other hand, the one making all the noise was the little girl who began to inspect Ray even more and she said, "Does that mean your big brother Ray?!", "Hm? Big brother huh...I suppose I am.", "Yay big brother is home!", but then she gave a mischievous smile and pouted again and said, "Hmph! Big brother has been gone for so long! You need to buy me lots of snacks or I'll tell mommy on you!", 'What the...she thinks she can play with me, I'll show you!' Ray thought and smiled and then teleported behind her, which shocked her but then Ray wrapped his arms around her and began to tickle her which made her laugh but at the same time scream out as she tried to struggle but gave up and said, "Okay! You win, stop! Please! Daddy help me! Big brother is bullying me!", "Alright, alright, I'll stop.", Ray stopped after a few seconds and said smiled at her but she pouted again and looked away, "Fine, here!", Ray took out a bag full of sweet treats and snacks and then put it next to his sister, she looked at the bag and peeked inside it and gave a wide smile and looked at Ray and said, "Ooh! I've never seen some of these! Thank you, big brother, I won't tell mommy!", 'What's with that smile, so pure!', Ray then patted his sister on the head and then felt a familiar presence from outside and smiled, "She's outside...", "Hm? Oh, quick go in the living room with your sister, I'll go call her in!"

Ray walked towards the living room of the house and looked at the furniture and smiled, he sat down next to his sister who was just smiling, 'Damn she's like a shounen character! Not a care in the world...', Ray heard the door open and the familiar cheery voice shout out, "I'm back! Hm? Why are you waiting at the door?", "Oh no specific reason, how about you but those things down and come into the living room, we have a guest.", "A guest? Who?", "You'll know when you see him?", the women had a puzzled face and followed the man into the living room where she saw a little girl humming and a boy sitting next to her, she felt that she knew this boy and she began to silently walk towards him, her breathing intensifying as she got closer, the boy turned around with a smile and said, "Hey mom! It's been a while, hasn't it!", Ray's mother froze and dropped her bags, she began to tear up and then shouted with a hand covering her mouth, "I-Is that you Ray, have you finally come home?", "Yeah, mom it's really me.", she then ran towards him as he got up and with all her strength hugged him in fear of him disappearing, he hugged her back and thought, 'Haha...if I was still 9, I would've probably died, even now, when she is a title Douluo, this isn't anything I can't handle.', Ray hugged his mother and said, "You haven't changed a bit mom, in fact, I think you're prettier than before I left.", this made his mother smile but then she said, "Thanks son but those words should be used for my daughter in law, speaking of which, where is she?", Ray let go off his mother who was giving off an ominous aura with her smile and gave an awkward laugh and thought, 'Shit! They soon began to eat and as Ray began to dig in he thought, 'This smell, oh how I've missed it but after the 5 years, things will get even more troublesome, especially with Xiao Wu getting attacked by spirit hall in the forest and the asura god's trials, should I do them? Hey [Ridley] what would happen if I become the asura god?'. Guess I won't go for that title then, hmm...could you tell me what titles I could get with my own efforts?', '...No, as you haven't reached a sufficient strength to know and not enough information to know what possible titles you may gain.', 'Well shit, thanks anyway', Ray then began to eat his mother's home cooked meal with a pleasant smile, and after a couple of dozen plates of food he was satisfied, "That was a really good meal mom, it's even better than I remember!", "Thank you, honey, but I hope you have room for dessert .", Ray waited for everyone to finish eating and then his mom brought out dessert, a 'Salted Caramel Chocolate Tart' with cream on top and shaved chocolate snowed over it, 'Wait...did mom find my recipe book, oh yeah, I knew I forgot I few thinks in my room, she must have found it when she was cleaning it up.', his mother saw Ray looking at the chocolate tart and said, "Um, I found your book, it had a lot of interesting food ideas, hope you don't mind me snooping.", "I don't mind, you can keep it, I can remember all of them anyway, heck I even sell some of the stuff in there.", she nodded her head and smiled, "Oh, let me cut it.", Ray said and he made a knife out of ice and made clean cuts throughout the tart and made it look even more perfect and chilled the slices a bit more, 'Thank you Rong Nianbing!', "That's some good knife work, son.", his father nodded his head and said in acknowledgement, his sister, on the other hand, didn't really care and just wanted the chocolate tart and Ray could tell just by looking at her face, the drooling mouth and the l.u.s.t hungry eyes were a big give away, to Ray this made her look even more precious and as all little kids would m.o.a.n about he gave the biggest piece to her which made her have an even more gleeful smile and went to hug Ray's arm which he allowed and rubbed her head.

After they were done they all went back to the living room and Ray began to explain the adventures they all had, beginning with understanding at why he needed the money, to the amazement of how big his business is, how much of a monster he and his friends are, the events like the tournament and how much of an asshole spirit hall is but he didn't tell them everything like his cultivation stopping and anything to do with the system, oh and anything about girls(not on his team).

After Ray was done with the explaining, his parents changed faces from a smile to anger and then a smile again and then his father said, "You...uh...have some really interesting friends, am fully innate support type, the continents best support type, two powerful speed and attack types from another empire and one being a sage of legend, a spirit beast turned into a human girl and a boy from the world's best tool type who is also half spirit beast as well as having another tool type of emperor's blue silver grass?! How powerful and strange can a group be...sigh...but they all seem nice enough so we're happy.", his mother nodded her head and then his sister was still in her imagination trying to picture all these maddening things, "Oh, yeah mom what is Lil' sis' spirit essence?", "Oh, how about she just shows you, Meifeng show your brother your spirit essence.", "Ok!", she said with a childish voice and with vigour and Ray watched as the area around his sister went cold and a blue and white Chisa katana with glowing runes in the centre of the blade with light blue flames and white at the centre gently swaying around it and she said, "It's called the 'Holy Frost Fire Katana", 'Oh? Looks like a mutation between both mom and dad's spirits but leans more towards dad as a sword type spirit, pretty good.', "How much spirit power did she awaken with?", "Hmm...it was the same as you, she awoke with full innate spirit power but she only has one spirit essence.", "Oi, don't make it sound like Ray is better than her, stupid man!", and then his mom whacked his father on the head, and then he said, "Lil' sis' what's your spirit power now?", "Um, right now it's 16.", "That high? Not bad!", and then rubbed her head again, "Yeah, you left some of your weird pills that we found out can boost your cultivation speed by 65% for 5 days and gave her one, she's quite the genius on her own as well."

Ray thought, 'Well she's only 4 levels off from being a level 20 grandmaster, hmm...by the time I leave in 5 years she will be more or less a spirit elder, let's see how the other's are doing.', "Hey, dad how are Jian Yin and Hong Yin doing?", "Oh, them? They are doing fine, I heard from their fathers that they are both spirit ancestors and are close to being spirit kings!", "Oh, okay, I'll go see them tomorrow.", Ray then talked more with his family and played with his sister for a bit and instructed her a bit on her cultivation before she had to go to sleep and he later decided to do the same.
