A Journey Through...

Ray finished checking out his abilities, and father waited there in anticipation, "Ok, dad I'm done", he slowly got up and looked at his dad.

His dad could no longer hold it and asked, "Okay, that went smoother than I thought...now son what ability did you get?!", Ray could tell that curiosity got the best of his dad and he said, "Its called [Golden Chain Shockwave] and it creates lightning chains that can wrap around things and traps them in it and from there it lets me choose whether to stun them or create a lightning explosion around the area they are in.(A/N: Changed the name because it was a bit lengthy)

Ray's dad looked at him for a second and blinked whilst thinking, 'My boy is so god damn lucky, this ability that he's gained seems way too powerful and it came from a 100+ spirit beast.', and then he said to his son whilst smiling, "Hahaha that's quite a good ability for a starter and its range type which is even better.", he ruffled his son's hair and then said, "Okay, now we have to look for a good match for your eye spirit, let's go a bit deeper in maybe we will gain some luck finding a match".

Ray started walking through the forest again with his dad whilst thinking, 'Phew...thank God that he didn't think it was too overpowered for a 100+ and didn't ask questions, then again what can you really expect from a 6-year-old, it's not like I have done anything suspicious within the clan yet.'

A FEW HOURS LATER

Ray: "Dad it's okay, I guess our luck wasn't that good as we originally thought, we should just come back to the forest another time." His father looked at him then looked further into the forest and said, "Nonsense my boy, we can't give up yet, we have to move on till we succeed, we can't falter!" His father said this as if he just read from some holy scripture and that was teaching his son an important lesson when in actuality he wanted to say, 'Aah I guess your right my boy maybe we can just come back another time." But then he looked at his son when he was about to say this and saw the sad expression that his son was showing and thought, 'NOOO my cute boy, look at his sad face!!! I can't continue with looking at his sad mood if this continues then I will have truly failed as a father!!!'.

Ray looked at his father and did a little smirk at how his father is and said, "Ok dad but we will have to leave soon otherwise we will be late and mama will be angry!", his father shivered at the thought and then said, "Then we must hurry and find something quickly!"

A LITTLE WHILE LATER

Ray: "U-um dad what is that beast over there...", Ray whispered towards his father next to him and pointed into the distance at a big shiny purple and white wolf with the same colours surrounding it in a misty aura. "Hmm...by its looks I would suspect that it would be an illusion wolf...but they shouldn't have purple on them...unless..." Ray was wondering why his father stopped talking and then he looked towards his father's eyes and saw his bewilderment and then his eyes widening as if he discovered something, "What is it, dad?", "Son we are truly blessed I just figured out why it has purple on its fur...it's a rare variant of the normal illusion wolf...a very, very rare one..." his father said shakingly and then continued, "It's a 'Mystic Illusion Wolf'!!! An insane variant that was infamous for its ability to use its illusions to not just mimic others like the normal ones but could also use their abilities to a certain degree...imagine all it had to do was to look at the other person or beast and then witness the ability used and copy it within its memories to mimic later, granted that it could only use 50% of that power but that's not why it's scary, it's scary because it carries some of the dragon wolves bloodline and can automatically transform into them and use a similar might similar top tier spirit beast closer to the centre of the forest." Ray looked dumbfounded at his father and thought, 'I don't remember a beast like this in the original, then again it's not like they would talk about every spirit beast in the world of 'Douluo Dalu', that would just make the story too info dumped and boring...", he then asked his father, "Dad how old is this spirit beast?"

His father was thinking and then said, "Hmm... from what I can see it's between 1,000 - 2,000 years of age for a spirit beast." Ray looked at his father and said, "Dad this is the one I want, it would be a perfect match for my 'silver dragon eyes.'' His father looked at him and then sighed whilst saying, "Not likely because it's such a high-level spirit beast, it would be too hard to integrate into you, so I don't wanna take any chances of a backlash." Ray then said back towards his dad, "But dad I could handle it because of my two spirits, the eyes give me an already high mental strength and my dragon claw gives my body high durability and strength already!" His father looked back at him and then the spirit beast and gave a hard thinking face as if he was making a hard decision and said, "I don't doubt you on your body but the mental strength is hard to tell, first let me see how high it is."

Ray closed his eyes and let his father touch his forehead to measure his mental strength... a few moments later his father looked gobsmacked and said, "M-my god, how can this be possible it's already that god damn high! Hahaha...what kind of monster have I given birth to", His father shook his head and smiled whilst saying, "My boy I will get the spirit but keep in mind that what we are about to do might be a first in history...and honestly, I'm so god damn happy, today my son will create a miracle beyond miracles and have his first spirit( for his second spirit essence) ring be at the 1000+ level HAHAHA!!!" His father walked silently towards the spirit beast as it laid there with its eyes closed.

A second later Ray saw his father summon up his spirit sword and slash at the beast, the beast opened its eyes and became a flying hawk on fire dodging the attack, Ray watched as his father flew up and chased after the fleeing beast but a 1000-year-old beast trying to fly away from a spirit Douluo...the results are obvious and the beast crumbled towards the grounds and Ray ran towards its position.

He saw the wolf in its original form of purple and white crawling and whimpering towards the nearby lake, Ray walked up to it, the wold sensed his presence and looked at him with anger but that quickly changed when he used his silver dragon eyes...

The wolf felt a deep suppression and its bloodline felt like bowing down towards him when it looked at him in the eyes but it focused more on the idea of living and kept on crawling with a crimson trail following it, creating a pool of blood expanding as it was moving.

Ray didn't want the beast to see any more pain and summoned up both his spirits at the same time, the wolf felt itself crumble in reverence towards something behind it, the wolf wasn't dumb and knew he had to stop to look behind, seeing the boy with glistening silver eyes with domineering slits within and white and gold claws on the boy's hand, the wolf felt its dragon side roar in submission towards the boy and it began to feel like it needed to be next to the boy in the last of its minutes...

But that's not what happened...the boy came towards it, each step feeling like a building up pressure and then he saw the boy stop and heard it said something, "Are You Willing?!!!" Is what it heard, the thundering voice of the boy went against its ears and it didn't understand immediately until it heard the question again, "Are You Willing To Join Me?!!!"

The wolf immediately understood and quickly nodded its head, he saw the boy smile and the next second a cold sensation quickly passing into a warm one with a bright purple ring floating above the now dead wolf.

Ray sat down and started to integrate with the ring, moments later Ray's father showed up and looked at his son with a purple ring around him thinking, "Damn, everyone in the clan is gonna think that this is something beyond a blessing and father-in-law is gonna think we gave birth to a child beyond a genius...he's a monster...hahaha..."
