A Month Of Dreams: Loving A Secret CEO

Anna and Lei are just on their lunch and they got back to C Company after their small talk. She is now waiting outside the Coffe Shop and waiting for her company car and driver. A black BMW SUV stops in front of her. A uniformed lady driver comes out and greet her.

"Ms. Min, my name is May and I will be your driver and personal assistant from now on." Lexi looks at May and she looks familiar. She looks like Kay but she is taller and meaner. Kay has a kinder face.

Lexi extends her hand and smiles. "Hi May! I am Lexi. Just call me Lexi. Nice to meet you."

May hesitates and grabs Lexi's hand with both of her hands. "Nice to meet you too Ms. Min. So sorry but it is part of my job to always be professional at all times."

Lexi frowns. It really feels familiar. She glances at the SUV. If she is not mistaken this is the safest and most luxurious SUV in the market now. Why are they giving her such expensive car. "Eeerrr....Is this the company car?".

May looks at her puzzled. "No Ms. Min. This is your car. Papers are all under your name."

She just looks at the car...her car...She imagines Carl inside her safest SUV and she is contented. Whichever job she needs to do as long as she can give the best to her son, she is all in.

With the money that she has, she spends a great amount in dresses, suits, jackets and shoes. She also buys some business casual clothes. As an executive she would be rarely seen in comfortable clothes. She needs to get use to it.

As she aranges her things, she felt a sharp pain in her b.r.e.a.s.t. It is feeding time of Carl. She immediately dials her mother's number and got on a video call.

Carl is crying and reaching through the monitor. Lexi is crying. Is this worth it? Not being with her son with all of this money.

"Don't worry about Carl. Of course, he misses you. I will take care of him. Just be careful there. Settle nicely at your new apartment. Remember that not all can be given a chance to earn as big as you do. Don't waste it. Just be here on the weekends." This litany of her mother wakes her up. She is right. She can cry all she want but she has to persevere. This is all for this little man. Lexi touches her screen. "I will go home baby. Wait for mommy."

Lexi can't sleep. She is thinking about Carl and the meeting the next day. She will face Gerard again. She knows that he thinks that she is into him specially that she withdrawed her complaint. He thinks that it is a go signal that she likes him. She needs to have a plan to throw him off course.

She saw her shoulder bag and remembered something. Deep down on one of the inside pockets she reaches and slowly brings out a shiny little thing that she thought she will never wear again.

This engagement ring brought her misery. Maybe it is time that it will be of any use to her. She wears it again and bitterly smiled. Once upon a time, she thought that she will have another ring over it as a wedding bond. But all is just a lie. Tomorrow, she will face another battle in her life. What doesn't kill you makea you stronger. That brings comfort as she doozes off, with her engagement ring on her finger.
