A New Life: Unwanted Marriage

Anhao woke up the next morning to an empty space beside her , she sighed as she checked the time and saw that it was already 12:00pm . she got up from the bed as she remembered the meeting and the party at Shijun's family home and she also needed to begin the preparations for her new mall , move the head office to city B . There were a lot of things for her to do but she would start slowly and handle everything one after the other . she got up from the bed , went into the bathroom to freshen up , as she was about to leave the room she saw a letter on the bedside table with Shijun's hand writing on it .

" I will be back from work by four and we'll be leaving home by six ."

after reading the note she went down to eat her breakfast . As soon as Anhao finished her meal she began to look for Aunt Nuan so she could help her gather the staff for a meeting . she walked into the kitchen and smiled when she saw the small old lady covered in flour , she walked towards her , washed her hands in the sink and joined her in making the rolls . The moment Aunt Nuan noticed her she tried to stop Anhao

" Miss Qaio you shouldn't do all these things " she exclaimed as she tried to stop Anhao. from helping .

Anhao just smiled as she replied

" Aunt Nuan please let me help , I've never been able to just sit idly while other people work " .

The old lady just smiled at let Anhao help her after all the girl obviously knew what she was doing " I actually came to meet you so you could help me call a meeting of all the staff on ground just like we discussed the other day " Anhao said as she put the first batch into the oven to bake .

" of course , let me send someone to call everyone in " .

About 10 minutes later everyone was in front of the house waiting for her , Anhao walked out with a smile on her face and hair stained with flour but she still had hours before she had to dress up for the party so she wasn't really concerned about her appearance at the moment .

The staff were all lining up according to their purpose in the house , the laundry maids were on one line , the cleaning maid were on one line , the security team and so on . Anhao saw about ten lines and each line had about ten people , she was speechless ' how can one estate have more than a hundred staff ? " she asked herself incredulously 'Even ancient British castles didn't have so much servants on hand at a time .

she took a deep breath before addressing them " Good morning everyone , I'm Qaio Anhao ", she looked around to see a couple of attentive faces staring intently at her " I called this meeting so I could get to know you all better but I just realized that it's going to take longer than I thought so I'm dismissing everyone apart from the head of each department , so would the head of each department step forward " being a CEO of a big company made her realize that she couldn't possibly remember all her employees so she would just keep the name of the department head in mind and whenever something was wrong in that department she would speak with the head and he would handle it , just like schools had class captains and prefects , her companies had department heads .

when the department heads came forward Anhao dismissed the rest of the staff , she got to know them and learnt their names .

By the time she was done with everything it was already 2:00pm in the afternoon so she decided to start getting ready as Shijun would be back around 4:00pm and they'd be leaving the house by 6:00pm , the party was to start around 8:00pm but the Yin family home was a bit far from the estate normally it would take about an hour and a half to get there without traffic but if there was traffic they could spend more than two hours on the road which was why Shijun had suggested that they leave around 6:00pm in his letter .

Anhao went back to her room , took a shower and sat in front of her mirror to do her makeup , she had never been a make up person so she just put on some eyeliner , mascara with red lipstick and some lip gloss .

she moved on to her hair next , she put her hair into a messy bun above her head and put on her mother's diamond necklace , earrings and bracelets . it was a diamond called moussaieff red diamond that was worth about twenty- five million dollars and was very rare . After doing her makeup and arranging her hair Anhao decided to sleep for a few minutes before Shijun would get back from work because it was already thirty minutes after three .

Shijun got home a few minutes after four and saw that Anhao was asleep on her dresser , he didn't wake her up until he was dressed and ready to leave then he slightly tapped her to wake her and waited for her outside while she out on her red dress and silver shoes , they walked to the car hand in hand and left the estate .
