A New Life: Unwanted Marriage

Anhao was confused

' why do they look like they have all seen a ghost ' she asked herself . Shijun quickly realized that they were all looking at him , he stopped smiling leaving the small after party in an awkward silence .

Shaoting cleared his throat and continued

" Anyway we have already announced your engagement so the media is going to be hounding you till your wedding takes place or even after that , we cannot afford for everybody to find out that this is an arranged marriage " he looked around the room especially at the women in the room who liked to gossip " No mistakes should be made in public , you are to act like a loving couple at all times " he concluded " are they any objections ?"

when nobody objected , he dismissed everyone but Anhao and Shijun

" I know it would not be hard for you both to act like a real couple for the media "

Shijun and Anhao looked at each other then looked at the old man once again . Shaoting sighed as he wondered if they actually thought he didn't know they had dated in UK

" Do you think I don't know that you dated each other back in the UK ? " Shaoting asked Anhao and Shijun , seeing the confused look on their faces he laughed " I would never send my heir abroad without keeping an eye on him " hearing that Shijun sighed as he just hoped they weren't any compromising pictures of them with his father .

Then he also began to wonder if his father had someone following them even here in city B , Anhao just blushed and hid her face in her palm . After chatting with Shaoting for a while Shijun decided it was time to get going

" Father we have to leave , it's already quite late " Shijun said , the old man just nodded his head , Shijun took that as a sign of dismissal as he pulled Anhao out of the room

" wait !" Anhao screamed , Shijun let go of her hand and she ran back into the room to hug Shaoting goodbye . When she left the room Shijun pulled her to his mom so they could get acquainted but upon getting to the sitting room they heard voices

" Mother , I want to marry Shijun " a crying voice said .

Anhao didn't know the person but Shijun did, he gritted his teeth because he had already told his mother to stop allowing that delusional girl into his house , he wasn't going to marry her and he had told both his mother and the girl that countless times but it didn't seem to sink into their minds at all and this annoyed Shijun a lot

" Xiaoshui , stop crying Shijun will still marry you, he's just marrying for business purposes" Mama Yin said as she consoled the crying girl .

Anhao was not exactly angry because what the woman said was true but the thought of her and Shijun getting a divorce really scared her.

" Mo xaioshui ! , how many times have I told you that I will never marry you ! " Shijun screamed . Both Mama Yin and Xaioshui looked shocked as soon as they heard Shijun's voice , they looked like kids that were caught with their hands in the cookie jar .

Xaioshui recovered quickly and ran towards Shijun with a smile

" Shijun how can you say such a thing " she said with a smile " I know you are just marrying this woman for business purposes " she said and she looked even happier than before , Anhao began to think that there was really something wrong with the girl in front of them .

Shijun smiled at her " business purposes ?!" and with that he burst into laughter .

Xaioshui smile faltered a little but she kept it in place

" why are you laughing ?" she asked him , her tone indicated that she was confused .

Even Anhao wanted to know why Shijun was laughing but she soon got her answer as Shijun pulled her into his arms and kissed her straight on the lips , after releasing her from his hand he smiled at his mother and Xaioshui " Does that look like something for business purposes ?, and mother I have told you countless times that I would never marry Xaioshui so you need to stop lieing to her !" Shijun shouted at his mother , she looked confused because she had never seen Shijun that angry , although he was always angry with her whenever she brought up Xaioshui he had never screamed at her before and this made Mama Yin to look at Anhao in a bad light ' how dare her make my son shout at me ' mama Yin wondered but what she had failed to realize was that Anhao had not uttered a word in the exchange , in her eyes Anhao was the reason why her son shouted at her .

" Shijun you shouldn't shout at mother " Xaioshui said as she tried to look sympathetic

" it's my fault , mother just wanted to cheer me up " she said as tears ran down her cheeks .

Shijun shook her head at her silly attempt to make him pity her

" Have I not told you to stop calling her mother , she's not your mom ! , and since you know it's your fault then you should leave " Shijun said in frustration ' what do I have to tell this girl to get her to leave me alone? ' he wondered .

After hearing Shijun's reply Xaioshui began to cry even more , the tears we're practically running down her eyes like it was a waterfall .

Anhao scoffed at the scene that was unfolding in front of her which made Xaioshui look at her " what are you scoffing at ?" she asked Anhao, the contempt was evident in her voice .

" I just really wonder why you aren't an actress if you can cry so easily and then change your mood from sad to angry in a second you should be winning awards , you can even win a Grammy with such acting skills or do you just prefer to act like a white lotus in front of other people's fiances " .
