A Trainer's Tale: Can He Resist A Pokemon's Charm!?

Chapter 19 - Corrup… Leaving a Good Impression in the Young Hearts (2)

\\~~At Celestic Town~~//

It was early in the morning and the streets are once again bustling with activity. People are once again busy doing various things like sweeping their backyard, buying groceries, among other things.

On the street near the PokeHall, there is a two-storey house with a futuristic flair in its design. If some Earthling saw this house, then they would surely say that this is how a futuristic house should be like.

Aside from the walls of the house is coated with aluminum fiber to provide some extra layer of fortification, the overall blue-colored motif of the house is just nice to look at.

Inside it, a woman that looks like she's around 20 years of age is talking to a little girl who is around 6-7 years old. If you look at them more closely, these two have too much resemblance that you can say that the little girl was the lady's mini version.

Sporting a bob hairstyle with bangs in her blue hair and a m.a.t.u.r.e temperament, she looked at the little girl in front of her with a warm smile on her beautiful face.

"Dawn, my dear daughter, how is your day with your new friends?" she asked.

Yes, this is Dawn's mother, Johanna Silhouetta. She, her husband, along with her son and daughter moved here in Celestic town because Dawn's father wants to study the ancient ruins in the middle of Celestic Town.

Due to that, Dawn and Lucas was enrolled at the PokeSchool to learn about the ways of the world.

Although originally, Johanna wanted her family to settle down in Twinleaf Town, she eventually agreed to live here for a few years for the sake of her husband's research.

She was always worried about this daughter of hers who somehow has an easy-going kind of air around her. She worries that she would get taken advantage of by some perverted uncles on the streets or something, that's why she prayed that she would get some friends that could be with her to assist this air-headed daughter of hers.

Although her evaluation of her daughter can be said to be harsh, it is the truth. When she was still 4 years old, this silly daughter of hers almost got taken away by a suspicious man by luring her using candies. That is why Johanna tried to ask around about the background and some information about her daughter's new friend.

Sure enough, she found out that her daughter befriended the grandchildren of a well-known professor in their region, Professor Carolina Shmitt.

Reaching out to the Professor, they both talked about the kids and their families, eventually deciding to have a gathering to strengthen the bond between the kids and their families.

It was Johanna who proposed this plan, since, she wanted to see how these new friends of her daughter look like.

Hearing her mother's question, Dawn looked at her mother's eyes and pouted.

"Mom, listen to this! Jeid continued to ignore me like yesterday! He was so cruel, not talking to me and only patting Aira's head all the time! He even allowed her to sit on his l.a.p whenever we are on a break! I only slacked-off a bit in our training and he ignored me after that!" Dawn said, teary-eyed.

It has to be said that she has gotten close to Jeid, Aira, and Cynthia. But, due to Jeid aura, she got especially close with Jeid.

Hearing her daughter's complaints, Johanna couldn't help but giggle. This daughter of hers seems to have taken a liking to this Jeid brat. If her father heard this, he would probably be shocked and lament about the fact that daughters are really hard to keep.

"Mom! This is not funny you know~! Jeid… he's ignoring meee~!" Dawn exclaimed. It seems like for her, this is a big problem.

Seeing her teary-eyed daughter, Johanna decided to answer her or else, she would really cry.

"My dear daughter, you said that you slacked off in your practice, right? What did you say to him when you asked him to train you? Didn't you say that you want to be a great Pokemon Coordinator? Then, why are you slacking off? Jeid even went out of his way to train you, even though he doesn't have to. What do you think would he feel when he knew that you were slacking off instead of training?" Johanna replied.

Her daughter told her many things about Jeid, so she knew that he is a good boy, despite the rumors surrounding this young boy.

Dawn remained silent after hearing her mother's words. Although she air-headed, she still understands what her mother is implying.

"W-What do you think should I do Mom? W-what if… what if Jeid doesn't talk to me anymore?" she asked.

"Although I don't think Jeid is that petty, I think you should apologize to him sweetie," Johanna answered.

Hearing her mother's words, Dawn's eyes regained its cheerfulness and she immediately jumped up and gave her mother a tight hug.

"Thank you, Mom," she said.

"You're welcome, sweetie."

A few days passed and Dawn finally, Dawn mustered up her courage to talk to Jeid.

With the cooperating of Aira and Cynthia, they created an opportunity for Jeid and Dawn to talk alone.

"U-uhm… J-Jeid… I…" Dawn trailed off.

She looked up at Jeid with teary eyes, which did quite some damage to Jeid's facade, but he persevered.

'I have to persevere! She's cute but… she gave to know that training is needed if she wants to achieve her dreams!' he thought.

Looking at her cute face again, he had the urge to just come in front of her and hug her. But, that isn't an option right now.

You could say that it is none of his business to meddle with when she wants to train or not, but he knows that it is beneficial for her if she trains a lot at a young age.

If she doesn't listen to him, that's fine. If she listens to him then that's better.

"Jeid, I'm… I'M SORRRYYYY!!" Dawn said as she burst into tears. She ran towards Jeid and hugged him tightly.

"I-I will twain hawd and become a gweat Pokemon Coordinatow like my mom! I-I will do what you say and twain hawd! I will not slack off anymowe! Pleashe, don't ignowe me! I-I feel my c.h.e.s.t huwt when you ignowe me. I-I don't know what to do~~ Showwwyyyy," Dawn said while hugging him.

Her words were slurred because of her crying. She pressed her head in his c.h.e.s.t and cried like the little girl she is. The days of Jeid ignoring her were hard for her, maybe there are some feelings that are blooming, maybe not. Only time* will tell how these children's relationship would progress.
