A Trainer's Tale: Can He Resist A Pokemon's Charm!?

Seeing the crying girl in his arms, Jeid took a ton of damage from the cuteness.

'My God! Thank you for taking me to this world!' he thought.

Patting Dawn's back and brushing her curly dark blue hair, he just continued to bathe in the glory of being hugged by a cute loli.

Jeid, I think I should tell you that even if this is another world, there will still be people who would arrest you for being a pedophile, the system's voice suddenly said.

Jeid panicked for a moment and stopped what he was doing. Thinking about it, there are even environmentalists. Aside from that, there are also some pokemon rights activists, which was not that surprising for Jeid.

Animals back on Earth have people who protest and fight for their right, much less pokemon who are sometimes more intelligent than a 4 or 5 years old child.

There are even some theories claiming that pokemon have their language, although there is still no sufficient evidence to prove this claim.

Removing this thoughts out of his head, he decided to focus on the girl in his arms. Although he has been transferred to this world in a child body with an a.d.u.l.t's mind, he is, after all, still a child.

Realistically speaking, although it is just his conjecture, he only had the memories of the a.d.u.l.t him of the past. He sometimes acts like he is already grown up, but more often than not, he is acting like the kids his age.

'This is definitely because I am back to being a child. It's not that bad though, I can experience my childhood all over again,' he thought.

Patting Dawn's shoulder to get her attention, he spoke,

"Come on, Dawn. I forgive you but you should not repeat it again okay? I'm sure it will help you a lot in the future if you learn diligently!"

Hearing his words of encouragement, Dawn looked up to him, with red eyes from crying so much, and replied,

"Un! Thank you, Jeid!"

After saying that, she continued to hug Jeid, indicating that she doesn't plan to let go of him anytime soon.

Noticing this, he quickly tried to make her let go of him. Of course, not because he hates her, but because it would be bad if they are late at the family meeting that Grandma Carol and Johanna, Dawn's mother, has scheduled today.

"Come on, Dawn. Don't cry anymore. We need to go to your house for dinner remember?" he said.

Dawn's ears immediately perked up after hearing his words. Remembering that today was that meeting that her mother told her about, she let go of Jeid and instead held his hand.

"Let's go then! Mom will get angry if we're late! She said that she cooked my favorite lasagna today!" she said.

Jeid, who got pulled after being hugged for a few minutes by Dawn started to run at her pace obediently.

Everyone except Dawn and Jeid was already present. The ladies already knew why they are late, so they just continued to wait for them to arrive. But, one of the two males in the house who remained quiet for a long time got curious why his precious daughter is not around, so he asked his wife who is currently sitting beside him.

"Ehem wife, where is our sweetie? Do you know why she's late?" asked the man.

"Oh my, didn't I tell you? Our dear daughter is currently going out with her friend," replied Johanna.

She felt like teasing this husband of hers so she added,

"A male friend, too."

Hearing her words, the man abruptly stood up and shouted,

"WHAAAATTTT!? M-My dear daughter, she… she's going out with a boy already!?"

Hearing her husband's overreaction, she couldn't help but giggle. This man easily jumps into the wrong conclusion. If somebody were to hear her say this, they would've rebuked her for being the one who led him to think of this.

"Calm down, dear. It's not what you think. Our dear daughter just had some misunderstanding with her friend and wanted to apologize"

It would've been great if she ended it at that, but she decided to punish her husband for being so engrossed in research that he sometimes forgets that he has a family waiting for him here.

"She even cried while asking me what to do, panicked because he started to ignore her."

Hearing this, the man seems to have taken a huge blow. If this was a video game, then there would be a damage indicator above his head, showing that he received -9999999 damage. He dropped into an orz position and started murmuring all by himself.

"H-How can this be. M-My dear daughter is being snatched away by me before I even know it. T-This cannot be"

Those were the only words that can be heard clearly, as he started to talk incoherently.

Witnessing this scene, Johanna sighed and decided to console this husband of hers, even though she was the one who made him feel like this in the first place.

Patting his shoulders she said,

"Honey, it's probably because you were out there for a long time that you haven't heard the news. Besides, it isn't bad for our daughter to get a male friend. She isn't close with males besides her brother and you anyway."

Her words somehow made the man feel better, as he stood up and said,

"T-That's right! I-It isn't bad for her to have experience with mingling with the opposite s.e.x. Definitely!"

While this drama was going on, Grandma Carol, Aira, Cynthia, and Lucas just watched this scene with bated breath. It's like you're watching a soap opera where an evil villain is brainwashing the hero. Or so what Grandma Carol thought.

'Johanna sure has her way on how to control this husband of hers,' she thought.

Right after that, the door of the house suddenly opened, with the door sliding open like those doors in the buildings of a company, and revealed Jeid and Dawn who is currently holding hands.

"Awwwe, we were late! But, it's alright! It was really fun running around the city with you!" Dawn said. She then proceeded to hug Jeid, like it was a very natural thing to do.

Jeid, who received her hug for the nth time, just smiled and thought,

'This girl is definitely like Aira. She's so clingy!'

But, what he didn't know was a man with an unkempt beard and messy hair was looking at him with flames of anger burning in his eyes. Before long, it seems like he couldn't hold it any longer and he exploded.

"YOU BRAT! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HOLDING HANDS WITH MY DEAR DAUGHTER!"
