The darkness vanished from Faibel's vision, clearing his view of the scene before him. He stood in the midst of large, circular chamber, similar to all the others. Another large wall standing 10 meters tall was placed towards the opposite side, no one else seemed to be present with him.

That is, until he felt a hand grab him by the back of his jacket, flinging him across the room at lightning speed into the rocky formation behind him. The impact left scattered a few pebbles in different directions, leaving some small cracks in the rocky wall.

This sudden surprise attack caught him off guard, nearly knocking him unconscious from the impact. Luckily, all his bones remained strong, only a few bruises would appear on his back after the blow.

Faibel coughed a few times to regain his breathing, looking at what had flung him with such force.

His gaze centered on a foul beast, standing almost 2 meters tall, was a large, dark wolf. Eyes bloodshot with incentive to kill and greasy fur covering it from head to toe.

The wolf opened its mouth to reveal 3 rows of sharp teeth, followed by greenish saliva drooling from the peak of its jaw. The wolf seemed to give off an aura of pure darkness, emitting black miasma off its hideous body.

The wolf stared down Faibel as he managed to make eye contact, shapeshifting into a human quite rapidly. The transformation only took a second, leaving the human in only a small set of ripped boxers, making himself visible as a male, covered in small traces of black fur all over his body.

The human seemed to have dark, ungroomed hair falling over his face. Even his mouth still remained traces of sharp teeth, and his muscles popped out as if on stage.

Faibel could feel the aura emitting off this man, feeling almost sick to his stomach from it. This human's power was close to Calvin's, that he was sure of.

After a few seconds, the human opened his treacherous mouth to speak in a low, growling voice, "I remember the days when I was human… Those days were miserable… Always so weak.. So fragile.."

Although Faibel was scared out of his mind, he was still himself when he spoke, at least for now, "So you seem to have become a wolf? Quite a hypocritical thing to say while looking like a human."

Faibel pulled himself off the floor, taking a second to regain his balance and train of thought, quickly regretting his witty remark.

The man instantly grew a duplicitous grin, followed by a frown full of sorrow, nearly howling his response like a wild beast, "Do you know the law of Polarity?.. This law binds my soul… But it cannot separate me from the beast… The beast is taking over… Abbadon tells me you are the key to my balance… I am very sorry young boy… You should not have to die…"

The man seemed to be on the verge of crying in regret, almost like he was forced into his current circ.u.mstances. The constant switch of emotions set Faibel off guard, thinking there was something clearly corrupt with this poor man.

Faibel knew that man could easily turn back into the monstrous wolf, tearing him to shreds in an instant. However, the only thing he could do was stall time, then he might have a chance.

The only way to stall time was by extracting information, and staying as calm as possible.

"You say polarity keeps your balance? What do you mean, why do you need my life to accomplish such goals."

"You are destined to be the law… All of you are… I do not want to murder innocent teenagers… But I have no choi- GRRHHHH."

Something was wrong, he was interrupted by himself, piercing his head with his sharp nails, having a slight metamorphosis from his face into a deadly jaw. It reverted back almost instantly, but sent a sign to both Faibel and the man that he wouldn't be human for long.

His life would still have a few years of wondering as a wolf if he lived, but death was still inevitable.

The man dropped to his knees screaming in agony, "PEASE! I DON'T WANT TOOO…" until he finally fell to the floor, lying motionless on the cold rocky ground.

Faibel took this time to wonder towards the wall filled with symbols he's never seen before. He had no choice, waking the man up seemed to be an illogical thing to do.

Walking over, a large, thunderous sound was heard from all around him. Almost like a pierce of lightning smashing through rocks during an earthquake. It nearly caused him to fall over despite being hundreds of meters away.

Realistically, this was Leo's spell "Rays of Ra," happening at exactly 8:52 pm, far away from Faibel, and even further away from everyone else.

Faibel reached the 10 meter tall wall in front, observing it carefully before the man behind him awoke from whatever caused his collapse. The wall was only a meter thick, but was made out of material Faibel was unaware of, similar looking to obsidian.

Time went by quick, Faibel still unsure of what any of the symbols meant. However, his observations came to a halt as he felt an extraordinary aura behind him.

The man was no longer lying on the ground, but instead standing viciously tall as the abyssal wolf from before.

Fear finally took Faibel over, unsure of what to do. Staring your own death in the face wasn't a sight he'd thought to see at such a young age. His life didn't flash before his eyes, nor did he see the light at the end of a dark tunnel.

Instead, he just stared at the creature before him, approaching at a very slow pace, taking each step with slight caution.

Faibel could tell the human man was trying to fight the beast taking over, it was quite obvious with the beast's steps pausing occasionally. Although the human man seemed to possess greater magical strength than the wolf, the beastly soul was not letting go.

Faibel started following the footsteps approaching him, slightly backing up with each step until he reached the wall, stopping his retreat instantly.

It was now 8:59pm. Faibel just needed one more minute for a chance to live, but that minute, lasted too long.

The wolf leaped at him at speeds he couldn't even see, drilling his c.h.e.s.t with 4 gargantuas claws. It didn't feel the need to use its jaw, the claws sunk deep enough for a swift death.

Faibel didn't scream in pain, the only thing that came out of his mouth was a large cough brimming with blood. He started to slowly sink towards the ground, leaving a trail of his blood on the wall he was perched up against.

The wolf kept its claw in his c.h.e.s.t, letting the blood run down its fur nice and slow. After a few moments of Faibel breathing slowly decreasing, and his eyes shut tightly, the wolf decided to take the claw out, finally ending the boy's life for good.

It was now 9:pm.

As the claw escaped Faibel's body, he grabbed it with shear strength, not letting go with a fierce grip. The wolf seemed confused for a moment, struggling to acquire its control of the paw.

Faibel took off his glasses with his other hand, placing them gently on the ground, opening his eyes to reveal his pupils a deadly shade of red. The same as they were at the night of the festival.

He locked eyes with the wolf once more, snapping it's paw like a dry stick on the ground.

"ARRRGGH!" The wolf howled in agonizing pain, finally able to break free from Faibel's grip.

Faibel stared as the wolf leaped back, able to slowly bring himself to his feet. The wound in his c.h.e.s.t only managed to break a few ribs, causing a large laceration of his upper right hypochondriac region, and a few other injuries to the c.h.e.s.t wall.

As he stood up, another cough of blood was spilled onto the floor below, causing him to stumble once again. His vision wasn't clear, but it was enough for him to see his target.

The wolf didn't hesitate to take advantage of it's wounded prey, even though every possible sense is telling itself not to attack.

However, the wolf was in full control of its body, dispersed from the human within. Broken paw tucked by the side, and anger to fuel the last leap, it jumped at Faibel with persistence to kill.

The wolf opened its jaw wide, picturing Faibels head between the rows of teeth mounted in layers across the open canvas of the mouth. This time, Faibel could see the jump, he could see the wolf gliding through the air at him… It was so slow.

As the jaw approached his face, he caught the depths of the jaw with the palm of his hand, sending dozens of teeth through his smooth skin. However, the grasp he had on the wolf was inescapable, quickly squeezing his hand together with all the force he had.

Pain shot through his body like lighting, but he ignored as much as he could, pulverizing the wolf's head like a water balloon.

Blood splattered in gallons across the chamber, sending even more blood on the stoney floor as the lifeless body of the wolf flopped on the ground.

Faibel, barely able to hold his balance, drenched in his own and the wolf's blood, turned back around at the wall, seeing it slowly crumble into a pile of rubble on the ground.

The light from the symbols faded, entering Faibel at a slow pace and healing some of his wounds in the process. Although he wasn't completely restored, it gave him enough replenishment of blood for a few more bouts of intense energy before he completely collapsed from blood loss.

He looked at the once lifeless body of the wolf, now seeing the human laying on the ground with a broken hand and lacerations all over his head.

He saw a smile across his face as the human slowly began to fade away into crumbs of darkness fading into the open air.

"Polarity... The side of me my friends see through the day. And the one they truly remember at night. The days keep me weak, and the night gives me strength. Just like all things in life, everything has its opposites," Faibels soft voice said to the man fading away.

One last thought escaped the man's fading mouth before his complete departure from this earth, "Polarity… Take what's rightfully yours… Stop the corruption…"

Now, with the energy he had left, there was only one thing he thought to do. He needed to find someone else, someone to help, or someone to help him.

Faibel scouted the chamber by stroking his hand along the crispy, rocky walls that entrapped them within. The most hollow point was on the side where the symboled wall stood. So, like any other human being, he wrapped his fist with a small piece of cotton from his jacket, making semi-boxing gloves as a result.

He coughed up another portion of blood, not as severe this time, and started jabbing his fist into the wall. Slowly but surely, he plunged the walls like a drill, leaving rocks and dust flying in his face.

10 meters deep, 20 meters deep, the further and further he went the more and more his cotton protection would deteriorate. He started noticing his fists aching in pain, covered in blood, and the acc.u.mulation of sweat and dirt from his pounding.

About 80 meters in he barely had anything left in him. A stream of blood left in his tracks, a pitch black claustrophobic environment in the middle of nowhere, and only a few cells of energy left before he collapsed.

He paused, on the verge of death, thinking of how amazing his friends were. Growing up with only Cartuja to help him through the days was a burden he lived with all his life. Now, to die without even saying thank you was not something he can know during his last breaths.

About to smash the walls for one last time, he opened his eyes in disbelief, producing a grin to the best of his abilities.

There was a voice on the other side, and one he was familiar with.
