Jiang Sheng gave himself a wry smile. After all, Pei Siyan had been his very first crush. Though he no longer had that affection, his instinct told him that he would eventually be attracted by Pei Siyan as time went on.

“Put it on.”

Pei Siyan put a hat on Jiang Sheng’s head abruptly as Jiang Sheng gazed at his face. He then passed Jiang Sheng a mask.

Jiang Sheng watched him as he did all that. Then, he looked up at Pei Siyan and asked with a vacant look on his face “What? What was that for?”

“Put it on, if you don’t wanna get yourself killed.”

Pei Siyan didn’t explain much, but Jiang Sheng could tell from his voice that it was not a bluff.

“Fine!”

Jiang Sheng put on the mask as Pei Siyan had demanded; he also glanced at Pei Siyan with coldness in his eyes for a second.

‘Is it because I’m his lover? So I can’t be seen by others? He is afraid to be caught? Never mind, I couldn’t figure it out anyway. Why would I bother?’

Jiang Sheng was the careless type of person, so he won’t be bothered by things he couldn’t figure out.

The ride had lasted for an hour and a half, and the car stopped in the front of Pei Siyan’s company building.

“Pay attention to any movement nearby, and keep me updated.”

Pei Siyan stepped out of the car first as he ordered Bai Hao with a cold and emotionless look on his face.

“Will do.” Bai Hao obeyed as usual.

As for Jiang Sheng, he thought Pei Siyan would leave him and walk into the building by himself, but he didn’t. Instead, he suddenly bent down and held Jiang Sheng by his wrist gently.

Still, Pei Siyan was too strong that it hurt Jiang Sheng a little bit.

Jiang Sheng struggled for a second as an implication for Pei Siyan that he was in pain, but Pei Siyan didn’t react to that. He looked back at Jiang Sheng instead and warned him. “Stay close to me the second you step outside the car. By close, I mean within one meter around me. Understand?”

“Yes… I understood.”

Jiang Sheng nodded obediently for that look on Pei Siyan was absolutely terrifying.

‘What the f**k…? What’s going on right now? This is like some sort of spy game.’

Jiang Sheng was too timid to look around the company and all those people in it, so he held his head down and followed closely after Pei Siyan all the way into the company.

Needless to say, all the employees couldn’t help peeping at the one Pei Siyan was holding hand with and brought to his company. But none of them dared to make a sound; even the air became solid with Pei Siyan’s arrival.

It was easy to tell that all the employees were too afraid of Pei Siyan, and they would only watch their boss from a distance and kept their head low instead of greeting him.

“You are here, Mr. Pei”

Apparently the secretary had been waiting for a long time at the lift door. She greeted Pei Siyan the moment they stepped out of the elevator. She was surprised when she saw Jiang Sheng but was clever enough not to ask anything about him.

“How’s the business going?” Pei Siyan asked indifferently as he held Jiang Sheng and walked forward quickly.

Jiang Sheng could only look at the back of Pei Siyan. He was walking so fast that Jiang Sheng would need to trot up to follow.

The secretary replied, “Everything’s set, and the company will continue its cooperation with us.”

“That’s good. Now get me a cup of warm milk.”

‘Warm milk?’ The secretary was stunned for a second, “For… for you?”

“For him.” Pei answered in a cold tone.

“Understood.”

After she was notified the milk was for Jiang Sheng, she watched Pei Siyan enter his office with Jiang Sheng and then closed the door, leaving.

“Secretary Bai, whom is that guy our boss was holding hand with?”

“Yeah! Who is that? Who could possibly be brought to work by our poker-face boss?”

The women workers gathered around and started their gossips the moment the secretary shut the door and turned her body around.

The secretary then warned them with a straight face, “There are things you shouldn’t know and shouldn’t ask. Keep your mouths shut.”

“Well! Okay then!”

The crowd dispersed in disappointment, but deep down inside they were still curious about all these. They wanted to know the relationship between Jiang Sheng and Pei Siyan, and they also wanted to know who in the world could be so close to their boss.
