Adventure Of The Arsenal Magus

Karl and Mortred though continued their adventure throughout the Konoha's streets trying to find a Inn. They've been looking for over an hour now but they still couldn't find one.

They didn't even know where they are anymore. They are not even in the streets anymore. They are now in some kind of forest.

"This place doesn't seem to have a Inn." Karl said as he continued observing the place. As the place became more darker, it's getting hard to walk around anymore. They continued walking until they reach a place with huge spacious space in it and with trees and target dummies.

"Should we just sleep there in the trees? This place doesn't seem to have an Inn or something" Karl asked.

"Sure I'm okay with it" Mortred said. They then walked closer to the trees of the place and sat down in their own trees not really that far from each other.

"It's quite early but I'm gonna sleep now. You are free to do what you want. Just don't get lost" Karl said and closed his eyes as he lean on the tree falling asleep. Mortred just look at the magus fall asleep. After a while she then throwed 3 daggers at the sleeping magus hoping it would hit him... but a lava monster just tanked all of it. It then sat beside Karl almost like cuddling him.

'On guard even sleeping. You're amazing Karl' She thought. 'In this rate I won't be able to kill you. I need to get stronger' She thought as she started walking toward the straw dummy. She then started throwing daggers at the dummy hitting every single bullseye.

'My dagger skills seem to be fine. But how can I pratice my hand to hand combat though?' She wondered. Her thoughts was stopped though when he felt something coming at her in a very fast speed. She summersaulted backwards immediately to dodge the incoming projectile. She then look at the thing and saw it was a arrow.... poison arrows. She then scanned the forest finding the one who shot it. She then felt another one coming to her left but just before it hits her, leaves then appeared on her hand and once it goes away, she was holding her scythe and blocked the arrow with it. After blocking, she immediately head to the direction where the arrow came from. As she was heading to the attacker's direction, the arrow was now rapidly firing toward her. She didn't really have problem dodging all of it. As she came close, she saw a blue goblin kinda thing with a bow in it's hand firing from above the tree. She was about to jump and kill it when she saw a red axe coming at her face. She immediately dodge it by crouching and quickly took a step back. She then saw a red goblin kinda thing with a red axe in it's hand.

'Who the hell are this? They have this thing in this world? Its kinda creepy' She thought. 'But it looks kinda familiar though. Where did I see it?' she wondered. Not for long though as the blue goblin started rapid firing again while the red charge her while it completely dodges all the arrow. it's very obvious that both goblins have experience fighting together for them to sync that good. Mortred though don't find dodging the arrows hard but the red goblin always caught her off guard. The red one move quite fast... not that fast as her though but the arrows restrict her movements making it hard. The total coordination of the two is cornering the assassin.

'This two is annoying. I'll kill this bow user first then killing the red one won't be as hard' She said as she quickly grab her purple blade and uses it's skill.

She then became invisible and quickly ran toward the archer goblin. As she was running toward it though, she realize that the red one is following her completely seeing through her invisibility.

'It can see through my invisibility? And here I thought my invisibility is unstoppable.' She thought in annoyance as she summersaulted backward catching the in pursuit red goblin off guard and cut its right hand making it to drop it's axe. She saw this as an opportunity and quickly tried slashing it's head with her scythe but she saw 3 arrows coming at her making her withdraw her attacks and dodge instead.

'Now you're dead. You annoying ugly thing' She said as she then became very blurry and and disappeared. She then quickly reappear underneath the tree where the archer is firing.

'Now you're on range' she thought as she was consumed by leaves and quickly reappear behind the archer.

She then quickly swing the scythe very hard making her spin because of the force of her swing and chopped off it's head in one slash. The headless blue body just fell from the tree joining it's head which is already there. But there is no blood. This thing don't have blood. She was concerned at first but realize there is still other one. She regain her focus once again.

'One down. 1 to go' She thought and quickly reached her back pockets to get daggers. The red one was approaching the tree underneath her. She then throwed the daggers at the red thing and hit every single one of it in it's body. She then throwed her scythe in the air to get daggers. But this time, she get total of 10 daggers with her both hands and quickly throwed it to the red goblin hitting it's head. All daggers hit the the goblin in the head. Two of it's eyes are now daggers. She then jumped down from the tree toward the goblin while catching her falling scythe from the air at the same time. With the force of her jumping from a high place, she was falling very fast toward the red goblin. With that force, she slashed the goblin into two pieces

The goblin's body was now separated into two pieces. The upper part of the body is now on the ground while the lower down kept standing. What confused her though is that unlike the blue goblin, this one has blood. After she slashed it, the blood splattered in the air. She didn't really mind it though considering she already saw more blood before. She then throw her scythe in the air and disappeared airborne after it's been consumed by leaves. She started walking to check the blue one and see what they really are. But as she walk.... she felt something hit her shoulder. At first it was just a pang, but after a while, the pang became pain. As she looked at her shoulder, she saw a hole.... her shoulder had bleeding hole. But how could that happen? she was sure she already slashed the two enemy. She then turn around to check what it was. And then she saw..... all the blood that the red goblin released from it's body just hovering in the air. Just shortly after she turned around, the blood started flying toward her in a very fast rate. But this time she was aware. It was the blood who hit her in the shoulder. Now that she's paying attention, she gracefully dodge every blood flying toward her. After the dodging, she then quickly grabbed a green bottle from out of knowhere and pour it's content in her shoulder. It started healing slowly. As her shoulder is still healing, she then walk closer to the remains of the goblin. But as she was walking, it just disappeared after a flame consumed it. She then went to the blue one but found it's body gone.

"What the hell is happening?" She just said.

"Nice moves." She heard a voice in her back. She then turn around and saw Karl leaning through a tree.

"You're still awake. I thought you went to sleep" she said as she look away from Karl.

"I was going to. But then I saw you training with yourself. I know you specialized on melee combat so it's somewhat hard to train alone. So I used one of my items and let it train you" Karl said.

Mortred went silence for a while.

"I see." 'Dang how powerful is this guy?' She thought.

"Well anyways, that's enough training for now. Go get some sleep" Karl said as he started walking back. She didn't answer and followed his back. After they get back, Karl also went to his tree and sleep, while the lava monster is leaning beside him. Mortred who saw this also went to her tree and decided to get a shut-eye. But in her thoughts, she was thinking if she got what it takes to hunt the magus down. That was just some of his items yet she had hard time fighting it. Her thoughts was kinda rumbled for the mean time. But she got tired thinking and fall asleep without even realizing it. So that's how they can ended their day. Ended with a goodnight sleep.

And just like that it's already morning. Mortred wakes up from the sound birds in the area. She then stood up and stretched her hand and yawned. She then tries looking for Karl but he was no longer in his tree but his stuffs are still there though so she didn't got worried about him leaving her alone. She then look around the training area and there he saw Karl looking at the river.

"Good morning Karl" She greeted still looking kinda sleepy.

Karl turned around. "Good Morning. How's your sleep?" Karl asked as she look at the assassin.

"As usual. Stiff back from hours of leaning beside that wood. But it's a decent rest" The assassin said as she stretched her hand more.

" Good. Let's get moving now and find a inn" Karl said as he started walking toward his tree and gather his stuffs. Mortred just store most of her stuff in her dimensional storage so she just waited the man pick his stuff up. After done picking, they then head for the road.

"Hey Karl. How if we eat first before going?" Mortred suggested.

"Hmm.. Let's do that." Karl agreed and started walking toward the road that they passed last night.

"Ahmm... Where are you going?" Mortred asked as she followed Karl.

Karl continued walking. "Ichiraku Ramen. I want to try their other ramen" Karl said excitedly but didn't show it outside. Mortred then also became excited and followed Karl. Minutes of walking, they reached their destination. Karl just went inside while Mortred followed her.

"Good morni-" The man stopped in the middle his sentence. "You're the couple from last night" The old man said... calmly.

"Ohh yes!! I MEAN NO!! WE ARE NOT A COUPLE!! WE HATE EACH OTHER" Mortred yelled.

Karl sighed. 'So very early in the morning. Already had that much energy' he thought.

"Yes we are from last night. We said we'd be back. So here we are" Karl said.

"Yes!! Your food is delicious I want to eat more" Mortred yelled.

The old man just stood their for a moment and then took a deep breath. Then suddenly yelled. "AYAME!! COME HERE QUICK!!" He yelled on the top of his lungs. Just shortly after that, a girl from the backdoor came in.

"What's the matter dad? Yelling like that so early in the morning" She said as she look at the costumers. 'Who are these people?' She thought.

"Come quick! Help me make the best ramen in the whole world!" The man said.

The girl was surprised. "You mean.... This are the couple that paid you those gold coins last night?!?! " She asked.

" Yes it's them!! " The man said.

"So it's you guys huh? ALRIGHT!! I'M GETTING THE BEST INGREDIENTS WE HAD!!" Ayame yelled as she looks for the best ingredients they had within their stock.

"I'm sorry for all the commotion early in the morning. But please take a seat as me and my daughter make the ramen. Today's gonna be special and it will be free considering how much you paid last night." The man said.

Karl and Mortred are so confused right now. They don't know what the hell is happening. But they sat in the chair waiting for the food.

"By the way!! What are your names?" The old man asked

"My name is Karl. This is Mortred" Karl introduced.

"Good Morning Karl and Mortred. I know it's a late introduction but I just have to do it. My name is Teuchi. I own this Ramen eatery. Just wait for a a bit while we make the best ramen ever. You can only taste this once in a lifetime" Teuchi said as he went help her daughter. Karl and Mortred just look at each other still confused of what is happening.

"Well let's just accept it. I'm not saying no to a good food" Karl said as he sat on the chair. Mortred just nodded and excitedly sat in her own chair. After a couple of minutes waiting, the food is done.

"Here you go!! Our super rare delux extra special ramen that only shows once in a blue moon!! Have a taste of it!! " Ayame yelled out as she handed the food.

'What a energetic girl' Karl thought as he smiled awkwardly.

"Thanks for the food!" Mortred on the other hand didn't wasted and more time and just started eating her food. "DELICIOUS!!" She yelled as she tasted it for the first time. Karl just stared at her for a while as she eat and started eating his own ramen. Karl reacted the same as her but unlike Mortred, he only yelled internally and not showing his true emotion outside. Instead he just made a quick comment. But even though how hard he tries, his body is not doing what his mind want to. Teuchi and Ayame saw this and was satisfied by their reaction.

"Eat A lots!! We still have more left!!" Ayame yelled again with her grin.

"We will!" Mortred answered and continued eating her ramen. Both of them continued eating their ramens until they heard someone in their back.

"Hmmm that looks delicious. Can I order one small serving of the same ramen they are eating?" A guy with spiky white hair and a headband covering his one eye and with a half mask covering his mouth said. He also wears the normal clothing that a shinobi wear with their usual green vest.

"Alright sir!!! Please have a sit as we prepare your order" Ayame said and started doing her stuff.

Karl on the other hand though is intrigued. 'I didn't even notice him coming' Karl thought as he took a glance at the white haired guy. Not only him but Mortred thought the same too. Both of them wondered how he got closer without them realizing it. I mean both of them are busy eating this delicious ramen but that isn't enough to fully distract them. As they thought this, they also stopped eating and just took individual glance at the white haired shinobi. The guy sat down the chair waiting for his order. Just after shortly, he then faced the two and greeted them both.

"Good Morning." He said as smiled. He's maybe covering his mouth but they can clearly understand his expression.

"Good Morning too" Karl just replied and continued eating his ramen. Mortred didn't answer and also continued eating hers with her guard fully up. Just after shortly he said that, he started talking again.

"Say are you guys new here? I never saw your faces before" The white haired guy asked as he faced the two.

"Yes we are new here. We're looking for a place to stay for the mean time" Karl said still eating the ramen. Mortred silently eating her ramen the whole time.

"Hmmm.. Can you show me your permission? I just want to see if you guys are the one we are looking for." He said as he continued staring at the two. This time the tension in the air raised. Both of them didn't answer the guy. The guy saw they didn't answer continued talking "A report from one of our shinobi stated that some couple wearing weird looking clothes roaming around the town. When we ask the village gate guards though, they didn't remember giving permission to them so the hokage ordered some shinobi to look for those two people. Are those two you guys?" The guy finished his sentence. The couple completely stopped eating as the guy finished his sentence. They have been silence the whole time making the white haired guy more suspicious about the two.

"Please can you show me your permission to enter the village? if no I'm concluding that those couple are you guys" He said.

"And If we say it's us what are you gonna do?" Karl who's been silent the whole time asked.

"Well.... I would kindly ask for you to surrender so that I can peacefully bring you to the interrogation room and ask you some questions." The guy said.

"And if we refuse?" Karl asked again.

"Well..... We will force you to come with us" He said.

'We? but I can't feel other people here though' Karl thought but not for too long as Mortred stood up and reached for her backpocket.

"Well sorry but we are not going in some interrogation room. We still have to find a Inn to stay for the night" Mortred said as he took 5 daggers in her left hand.

"Nice daggers. It's quite shiny and sharp. But I won't recommend it fighting us though." The guy said as he smiled behind his mask. This time though. Karl and Mortred felt 2 people instantly came in their surroundings.

"Hey.. Let's not rush he-" Karl was about said to Mortred but she just quickly throwed the daggers at the white haired man. The guy though just quickly dodged it and went outside the ramen shop. She then again took more daggers and also went outside. There she saw 2 people standing not that far from the shop.
