"Keep going through them see how far we can get. We can always turn around later." I tell Hazel

Maneuvering through the dead cars, we finally come to stop when the radiator hose gave out on the RV again.

Getting out to check on the RV the group starts to gather

"Dead in the water, if we can't…"-dale

"If you can't find a radiator hose here… There's a whole bunch of stuff we can find"- Daryl interrupts him digging through the trunk of a car

"Siphon more fuel from these cars for a start" Says T-Dog as he walks off to get to work.

"Maybe some water"- Carol

"Or food"-April

"This is graveyard… I don't know how I feel about this." Says Lori. This point her lame a.s.s killed the show for me

"Okay, I don't know about you guys, but I have half of an LMTV worth a space, we are running low on water and food because I didn't expect for the CDC to blow and have you guys along with you"

I told a balled face lie but, who cares. What mine is mines and what's theirs is theirs "And To be honest the fuel I have is for my trucks, they are our lifeline. So, T-dog is right. You guys need more fuel. So, it looks like we have about three hours' worth of sunlight. Let's make it count" Finishing what I had to say I turned around to grab my blade set out of the Humvee.

Walking off in groups, everyone began to scavenge what they could. Knowing that something was wrong. I could feel Em and Max's eyes on me and everyone else, ready to move.

I walked straight to the Lipsey spring water truck that I had seen when we pulled up. Hoping in the driver's seat, I recall a YouTube video I seen in my past life during college, when I feel down the rabbit hole (the unexplained phenomenon when YouTube takes you to weird shit in you mindlessly follow for hours) on a late study night.

How to hot wire a car. After a few minutes and setting off the alarm I get the car started. It had half of a tank of gas. But what's more stupid. Driving an LMTV's that could possibly be carrying good stuff? Or Driving a truck that says, 'Spring Water Delivery'?

So, I pull it over to the LMTVs, load up the water and Siphon the fuel.

Throughout the Search Miranda finds a blade Kit, T-Dog manages to gouge his damn arm and Max takes him to get bandaged up. Throwing him some pain medication and antibiotics T-dogs out for the night.

I give each Vehicle a jug of water and put the rest in the LMTV. After the sun finished setting everyone started to retire. I sat inside the Humvee, plotting another route to get to New Orleans.

Hazel was sitting in the passenger seat. Morales, Em , and Finn were in the back seat. Passing me the joint, she blows out to relieve her lounges of the smoke, letting the cannabis take over. Causing a smooth mellow high, Yes, I found the Indica.

We proceeded to hot box, and chat.

"So, Morales. How'd you end up with Rick. Didn't you say something about Birmingham?" I ask him

Taking another hit "I love…my wife man. I love her and my children more than life itself"

"aww that's so cute. Why don't you talk to me like that Finn?"

"Because you like it when I'm more, physical" He replied, while grabbing her b.r.e.a.s.t from behind and pulling her into his l.a.p. Em let's out a little Shriek and the group just laughs

"You're so unrurly!" she playfully calls out.

"haha what I'm trying to say is, I wouldn't do anything to put them in harms way. So, when Miranda begged me to go to the CDC, for a chance we could be safe. I couldn't say,no" Morales finished his thought

"Well, that's why I invited you tonight. I need to re-plot my route to get to New Orleans. And its looking like we'll be close enough to Birmingham to swing by, if you want to tag along"

Morales couldn't control himself and few tears escaped his eyes "Thank you…. Thank you… I want to keep my family safe, but my brother and abuela… their all alone man. And he has a kid too. It's the only family we have left"

"Then it's settled. You can ride with us."

3rd person POV…

Unknown to Bayek and the group. April had made her way back to the Humvee after having a little too much to drink with some of the women. The kids stayed in the RV, while the guys we're smoking joints. They even got Rick to smoke. He wasn't a cop anymore.

Bayek was sure to be sad that he missed seeing a high Rick. However, Em decided to turn in early and went back to her Humvee. Having completely slipped her mind that the Humvee was occupied, she walked up on a cloudy Humvee and she heard was voices. The love Morales displayed for his family and the relationship Finn and Em had.

Something inside of her had just caved. Emotional frustration, Pint up s.e.x.u.a.l tension, conflicting memories of the past flooded her mind and she turned around to go find Max …

sometime after. She was standing in front of Max. The man she truly craved would lover her like he used to. April then rises to kiss him and once their lips connected, she tried to engage him to pull out more passion, l.u.s.t, something out of him. Until he slightly turned his head. And April Couldn't take it anymore .

Tears fell and her c.h.e.s.t tightened up. "I maybe one of the last women on earth and you still can't love me, at the very least f.u.c.k me!" Slapping him in the face, Pow! "Damn it, Max!"

Tears fell for a minute before she, used all her energy to pull herself together. And the alcohol causing everything spill out of her.

"It's not my fault Max…. I was r.a.p.ed that night… You can't blame for something that was taking away from me. And every time you look at me with those eyes and refuse to touch ... I live it all over again… I feel disgusting because you make me feel, disgusting, Max. It's been a year, and then the world went to shit, and you still look at me like some used up whore!"

"That man took something away from me that night, but I'm not dirty and I refuse to let make me feel that way anymore. I'm done, Max..."

"So, what? you're going to leave me… and go where? You have no family without me. Who's going to look after you, that boy?"-Max

Smack!! She slapped him again "I can take care of myself now. You pushed me away, remember that. This isn't the old world anymore, A relationship without love, is nothing."

Taking off her engagement ring, she grabs his hand and places it in his palm

" I just want to be happy again. There's no pint to all of this freedom, if I'm not happy enough to enjoy it… Goodbye Max..."

Walking away from Max on the other side of the LMTV the women who were sitting around the fire came up to embrace, shed tears for her. Especially, Carol.

Bayek and the group her the argument and exited the Humvees to check it

"What was all that about?" Hazel asked

Em and Finn Just held onto each other and shook their heads "April was taken a year ago, some bad shit happened. The guys were caught, but the video was still uploaded." Em told the group

"Max is...My brother, I love him. But the guy can be a d.i.c.k. He was more worried about what the guys at work were saying, then the actual facts and the pain April was in, she even had to change transfer at work for fresh start. Luckily Emma was willing to transfer with her or April would have problem been a walker in that Police department" Finn added

"What do you mean?" Morales asked

"I went back for Emma, Max and Mike happened to be with me"

"But, wha…" before Hazel could finish, Bayek stopped her and just shook his head. He knew what Finn was getting at, Hazel just wasn't sharp enough to pick up on it.

Max was prepared to leave the city without April.

Everything made sense to Bayek now, while Max didn't mind her being used as the bargaining chip, and why April flipped shit when she saw those people trying to take Miranda and her daughter, back in Atlanta.
