Going through the Hospital was easy work. Shane had told the group, that back in king county, the military had started killing people of when things got too bad, then sealed the hospital doors.

But, since the CDC was sealed off, there was a big chance that most of the patients were moved to a different location. Both assumptions were right. Inside the hospital civilians had bullet wounds to the head, Soldier had turned into walkers, but they were few in numbers. Making the hospital an easy score but, a depressing place to be.

We got the boy taken care of before we pulled out, though, I didn't bother to learn his name. Rick was happy to take the guy and his friends. So I just washed my hands of the whole situation altogether.

Third POV

Before leaving the city, Bayek took it upon himself to install the Spare radios they got from the CDC checkpoint into the vehicles that Rick's people were using. . So now they were all in constant communication good for Bayek, bad for the rest of the convoy. Although, I think Em and Hazel were enjoying themselves and Alexandra found it very amusing, since she was stuck in bunker for such a long time.

According to Glenn, who was obviously crushing on the girl, Alexandra was the daughter of the scientist that let them all into the CDC, so that they could commit mass suicide together. But, The Scientist was talked into letting them all out and his daughter decided to leave as well.

"'Once I rose above the noise and confusion

Just to get a glimpse beyond the illusion

I was soaring ever higher, but I flew too high

Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man

Though my mind could think I still was a mad man

I hear the voices when I'm dreamin', I can hear them say!!"-Bayek (lead)

"Carry on my wayward son

For there'll be peace when you are done

Lay your weary head to rest

Don't you cry no more!!!!!'" -Hazel and Em (back up vocalist)

"Hahaha Holy shit. I think Alpha-1 is high as f.u.c.k.i.n.g kites right now!"-Mike

"lol at least they can carry a tune"-April

"f.u.c.k their tune, I want what they're smoking, right now." -Finn

"Wait you guys have weed?"-Glenn

Everyone burst out in laughter at Glenn's childish excitement

"haha You want a hit, Glenn?"- Bayek

"Wait, how do you guys have weed?"-Glenn

"Because, when the world ends and the dead start to walk, most people find religion. But our Bayek here, goes out of his way to slay thirty walkers for 300 pounds of marijuana in an evidence lockup Ahaha!"-Em

They group burst out in laughter again, remembering what Bayek did after leaving the police department. He went gas station to gas stations stripping them of all their rolling papers.

Bayek's POV

It's good seeing everyone smile again and hearing the laughter of the rest of the convoy. After leaving the University, we drove through the city to hop on the proper interstate to head to Ft Benning, Interstate 85. Along the way rick just had to leave a message for Morgan. And while he's doing that, we downsize the convoy. Besides the Swat truck and Military vehicles, all he had now was the RV, Motorcycle, and car. Siphoning the gas and making a makeshift radiator hose didn't take much time. But Rick, seemed to be taking his sweat a.s.s time. Too much time was just as bad as no time in this world.

Then it happened, Miranda, Morales' wife, thought it would be good to look for some more little girl shoes for Eliza, her daughter. Walking down the way with an E-tool (like a hatchet shovel hybrid) in hand that she got from CDC check point. She felt safe from walkers.

When, Miranda walked around the corner, A white van pulled up and tried to take them. Miranda got in a good hit to back the guy off and then took Eliza and ran. Screaming for Morales, the group pulls out their guns and run towards Miranda and Eliza. Before we could make it to them the van sped around the corner. Not expecting so many of us, they slam on the breaks and try to back out. I guess something snapped in April when she saw the scene.

Without giving thought to anything else, she starts advancing and engaging the white van. In all honesty she was the best one for the job. She had a HK416 with a scope and suppressor. And being a cop, she let of an entire magazine and reloaded, then emptied that magazine, like a pro. But the thing is. After the first magazine was empty the van had already flipped on its side and the second magazine tore up the bottom of the van and hit the gas tank causing to blow up.

And that f.u.c.k.i.n.g Rick still wasn't back. I ran to the Humvee with the 50 Cal drove to the middle of the road facing where the van came. Something about the situation just didn't feel right.

I told everyone to cover my back and to shot anyone and anything that come or way. They were a little confused but got ready any way.

Morales, Carol, and Lori put their kids in an armored Humvee and got ready them self's. As soon as April threw and extra Magazine to Morales, a Blue doge magnum SXT hit the corner in front of them. So, naturally I hold the trigger down and let of 50-100 rounds, it tore the car apart and probably killed the people inside before destroying the car.

Walkers began to come, creating a half moon shape, with their back turned to the Humvee the group starts dropping walkers one by one. There weren't many at this point. It was still early. However, two cop cars came around the corner on opposite end of the street to close us in. But that didn't end well for them.

Finn had a grenade launcher attached to his M4 and shot it through their windshield blowing that bitch up. Like before, I tore down the second cop car in a similar fashion.

"Lori!! Carl!!!" we could hear Rick yelling, running down the alley. I tell his a.s.s to get in the car and everyone else followed suite

I lead the way out, since I had the big gun. We left that city with a big f.u.c.k.i.n.g bang.

Everyone was quite after that; they had just killed people for the first time. And in it was in a more, than savage manner.

After a while we stopped to get the personnel to vehicle situation straightened out and headed down the 85 to Benning, once there I'm going to keep on going to New Orleans.

Bored with tense atmosphere I roll a joint and pass it to the ladies. Half an hour later, I do a convoy check in over the radio and before we know it, we're singing 'carry on wayward son' over the radio channel.
