Adventures Of Bayek: Through The Void And Beyond

Chapter 32 - Bayek under surveillance.

Bayek stood quietly at the entrance of the tent and observed the unprofessionalism of his commanders. Rowdy, they were. Bayek, was forced to recall the memories of his past life as a commander and having to solve the most stupid problems that caused major rifts between his subordinates.

Listening, Bayek identified the current argument as another stupid problem. "Enough!" he declared, looking around them room at the startled commanders. Taking a deep breath, Bayek continued, "The rules of the company are ironclad. When you are out on a mission, that is when you are allowed to call an audible and only for the sake of completing the mission at hand. But while you are all in this camp. If you don't like something, write a f.u.c.k.i.n.g memo and send it up the chain of command. Do you understand?"

Bayek was in no mood to play games, the company was teetering on the edge of shit show, with multiple people undergoing evolution, and sporadic herds moving in the direction of their next stop, most likely to form a great horde with a variant at the helm.

The commanders replied in unison "Yes, Sir"

"Alright, we have people evolving in the company. That means and extra guard detail. There's major walker activity. So, here's my order. Stay here. Hold down this position, while I go investigate. I don't plan on wasting gas. So, the road ahead has to be cleared." Bayek spoke in a commanding voice. His tone cut of all words of protest before they were even spoken.

April could do nothing but ball her fist in frustration. The two were very close, and their relationship was in a rather sweet spot. However, in a commander's meeting, she knew her place and forced herself to struggle in silence.

Looking around the room one last time, Bayek gave his finishing remark "You know your jobs, do them. You have a problem, don't forget your f.u.c.k.i.n.g memos. April, has command while I am away. " Bayek turned and left the commander's tent and went in the direction of where the Omega Squad last encountered the herds.

Bayek, had a body at the peak of Boddy condition. With a little push his body could break through the next stage. His regeneration would become more advanced. Arteries, vital organs, and bone damage would no longer slow him down. The next step in cultivation is meridian connection and opening, which would be a simple process. After that, Qi gathering. At this point, Bayek would now be able to retain Qi and utilize it without pain.

Arriving at the spot where the Omega squad battled the hordes. Bayek recalled the flow of herds and started moving the herds original direction. After a quick dash 3 miles away, Bayek appeared in front of few hordes converging, forming what looked like a caravan of walkers moving south. Unsheathing his swords. Bayek took blood from his palm and drew sigils on his blades and began to prey.

"Hekate I call to thee, Queen of heaven, earth, and hell. Give me your aid in battle as I dedicate every kill to you, as a sacrifice for allowing me to live this new life. Although, f.u.c.k.e.d. It's still a gift, not easily forgotten. Now bear witness to the power that you've bestowed upon your child."

Bayek, recalled the sword movements that he used at the FEMA camp. During that time, Bayek felt the power of his Qi refining his body ad growing in quantity. It was an innate sword art meant for him to cultivate. Dashing forward with Qi emitting from his body, Bayek slaughtered his way through the herd. Decimating their bodies and coating the earth in blood and bones. It was too easy, one sided. Bayek maneuvered without limit taking on the appearance of a crazed battle good.

1.. Swing. The ground split and blood rained

2nd swing. Horizontal slash that reversed the current of the wind.

3rd..4th... 5th the power of Qi created barren land

6th, 7th, 8th. He split the clouds and thundered rolled

9th swing the energy around Bayek compressed

Returning to his starting posture, finishing the cycle. The pressurized energy around him exploded, disintegrating everything in a 10-meter radius.

The Qi that now flowed through Bayek's body was new, refined, denser and purer in quality. His mind was clear with a speck of enlightenment floated through his mind. Repeating the 9-movement sword technique over and over. Every new set was more intricate and profound. Bayek learned from his previous sets and his new set always gave breath to something new.

Cutting down every walker in his path, Bayek had created a blood soaked 20-mile road. When he was finished an image of Hekate appeared in his mind, similar to the one that appeared to deliver the message of cultivation stages. In a moment, Bayek focused on her lips as she mouthed words that brought clarity.

"Samsaric Sword Art of Akasha." Hekate's face dawned a smile and faded away.

Bayek continued his venture south. Oddly, there wasn't a horde in sight, something was calling walkers south. But the question was. How far south where they being called. Bayek began to feel the need to make it to New Orleans again. This time, it wasn't for Cajun food. It was a new feeling of impending danger. Turning around, Bayek sprinted back to the camp. The company had to get back on the road. And a new omega squad had to be formed while the others were undergoing evolution. Dangerous, yes, but something was telling Bayek it was a risk he had to take.

================================================

In the void a beautiful brown skin, curvaceous woman, laid out on a sofa in scantily clad clothing. Long, curly, thick black hair. Cascaded over her shoulders and rest on her b.r.e.a.s.t. "That bitch sends this mongrel! With power that makes those worthless roaches stronger. And then she dares to bring that shit into my world! She's always been a haughty bitch with ditzy characteristic. If she wasn't dead already, I'd kill her myself.!" The woman was enraged watching Bayek and rose from her seat. The only thing she liked about him was that he was keeping his beliefs to himself for the time being.

"My lady Gaia. Mother of nature and Goddess of creation. Remember who you are. No one will survive this plague. And then we you can remake the world better than the last. It will be the epitome of perfection. All of Deities will look upon your new world with envy. Haa, even that bitch Hekate never had a world of her own. She could never compare to your status. " The man who kneeled behind the Goddess did his best to calm the wrath of the impulsive Goddess, Gaia.

"But if you step into the mortal world. The other gods will use it as cause to usurp you." The man added and Gaia came to her senses. "You're right. If the variant can't kill him, I'll make a stronger one that can put his a.s.s in the ground. And then I'll use him to finish the rest of those hairless apes." Gaia stared down into her realm, with a contorted face watching Bayek order his people around to get back on the world. She hated Hekate, but she contemplated whether or not she should take Bayek for herself or destroy his soul when she finally managed to kill him.

What was a bigger f.u.c.k you to Hekate?
