Adventures Of Bayek: Through The Void And Beyond

Chapter 35 - Divine Intervention Pt.2: Hecate's Last Gift

Fed up with the bullshit, Gaia stopped time on the planet. Everything froze. And instead of going down, Gaia pulled Bayek up.

"Who are you Mortal?" She asked

"Umm… Bayek Siwa"

"What are you doing here"

"You brought me here, remember?"

Gaia was fuming, "I mean-- what- are- you doing- on my planet?"

"Oh.. I was just dropped here. My goddess, was like, oh, you deserve another life and I was like, eh thank you. She gave me some stuff and I woke up chared to shit, n.a.k.e.d, and in the woods."

"What is your mission?" She asked

"To Survive"

Gaia's face contorted," That's it?"

"Yeah, I mean, I thought she would send me somewhere... More fantastic, but she dropped me here, it's kind of a shit hole, to be honest. But I figured I had a purpose, so I kept trucking on."

"It's not a f.u.c.k.i.n.g shit hole! It's a world full of potential!" Gaia shouted, "What did the bitch Hecate give you before you came to my world?"

"I'll tell you if we can make a deal…" Bayek decided to haggle a little bit.

"Say your piece mortal"

"Your world is a shit hole, I met some good people and saw some die. The problem is, all of civilization is f.u.c.k.i.n.g dead. So if I'm forced to live here, I want a developed country to live in. Have you seen resident evil? It's impossible to create a safe haven with OP zombies running around"

Gaia looked at her aid while Bayek was rambling "What the f.u.c.k is resident evil?" she mouthed. Her aid shrugged his shoulders in response.

"Okay! How about this, I just kick you out. In all honesty, I'm not as strong as Hecate, it's why she always bullied me. But I am strong enough to cast you into the void. Where you land from there is up to fate. But you have to be willing to go through a time warp and you have to be willing to leave this world." She offered.

"So, do you still want to know what Hecate gave me?" he asked

"No, I just want you gone, so I can remake my world," she replied

"Oh, praise Hecate. I knew she wouldn't let me rot here" Bayek fell to his knees and began to pray. Gaia's eyes bulged as if they were about to pop.

"That Bitch--"

Snap! Gaia's aid started the time warp and Bayek disappeared and time rewound to the moment Bayek arrived.

"Why did you--"

"It's not worth it, my lady, she is dead and her last follower is about to be sent into the void. He will surely die. Please relax" her aid counseled her.

"Hmm" Gaia was satisfied with her aid's counsel and sent Bayek directly into the void. Little did Gaia know, she had activated Bayek's last gift from Hecate. But they would never see each other again so it wasn't her problem.

Deep in the void, Bayek's lifeless body floated. And the last vision of Hecate appeared.

"Wake up, " she demanded, at that moment Bayek came to.

"I gave you the power to tap into the samsaric cycle at will, death is merely a doorway to a new beginning for you. You are not dead, just in between. Pick a color, any color and it will lead you to your next life." Hecate vanished for the last time and a myriad of colors appeared around Bayek.

"Now this... Is fantastic shit." Closing his eyes, Bayek reached out and touched a random color, Beige…

Once in contact with the color, Bayek's body faded. When he reappeared, he was falling into a new universe, in a blaze of glory.

Boom! He crashed into the side of a mountain…

2 hours Later…

"Sir, we have eyes on the crash site"

"Well, move in. The site needs to be secured by sundown"

"Yes, sir." the soldier replied.

At the crash site. Soldiers and scientists ran around securing the site and collecting samples. So far the only thing out of the ordinary was the extreme heat coming from the crash site and the depth of the creator.

It didn't take long for them to discover Bayek's healing body at the bottom of the creator. Using a bio scanner, they locked onto his beating heart…

1 week later.

Bayek had finally healed from his crash. He now laid in a box, centered in the middle of a lab.

"F.u.c.k, Am I being tested on?" Bayek revolved his Qi and sent a burst outward to blow the top off of his box. Stretching out his muscles. Bayek took a look around the lab.

"Oh, they speak English. Good. And what do we-- f.u.c.k" as soon as Bayek realized where he was, he didn't panic, but went into full-on defense mood. Ripping hard drives from servers and destroying them with his Qi. Samples and paper-based doc.u.ments were all destroyed as well.

Before leaving the lab, Bayek skinned his face off and cut his earlobes, disintegrating all DNA with his Qi. At full speed, he weaved his way through the compound. The alarms sounded and guards were deployed, but known of them were fast enough to catch Bayek.

Meanwhile, in an office a bald black man with an eye patch over his left sat in a chair, reading from a tan colored folder.

"Director Fury!"

"What?" He answered

"The test subject has escaped." The agent replied nervously

"So his face is healed, what did the camera get?" he asked

Gulp, "N-nothing, sir, It seems, the alien has skinned his face off and clipped his ears"

This caused Fury to put his folder on the desk. Even he found the report... Discomforting. "The samples and research data?"

"All gone, sir. He destroyed the hard drives, sample, and doc.u.ments. The entire lab was destroyed. "

"How?" Furry questioned the legitimacy of the statement. Even if Bayek had the time. The noise would have signaled security.

"An unidentified energy disintegrated everything" The agent replied

"Hmm, dismissed"

"Yes, sir."

Furry contemplated the report and weighed his options, On the one hand, he had the Hulk on the loose, Iron man running wild, and mysterious hammer that arrived on the planet after a beam of energy that could cut the planet in half, actually made contact with the planet.. He figured he'd let Bayek go for a while. An uncivilized alien in a new world was bound to stick out at some point, right?

May 29th, 2010

Bayek was free from S.H.I.E.L.D custody. He took some time to wrap his head around the situation. And the only thing that confused him the most was...

"Why the f.u.c.k is the MCU's color Beige? F.u.c.k it. May 29th, 2010... Banner. I Need to get to V.i.r.g.i.nia."

In the dead of night, Bayek stole a car, changed the plates and got on the road to Willowdale, V.i.r.g.i.nia. Along the way, he made a few stops. Clothes, food, knife and pistol, and of course a map. On the road, a lot of things started to sink in. Like the fact that he was basically an immortal. As long as he knew the color of the universe, he could return as many times as he wanted to.

The car ride was a decent trip and by the end of it, Bayek has decided on a few things. Instead of waiting to die as a civilian, he would become strong enough to hold his own. He knew he was strong at the moment, but it was nothing compared to the Hulk, Thor, even Scarlet Witch, and most mutants could probably tear him apart. But if he could get in on the infinity stone action to come, he would be unparalleled. So, why the initial chaos was setting in, Bayek wanted to reap the rewards. Honestly, it's easier to step on normal humans, than super-powered ones.

June 2nd, 2010

Arriving at Culver University in Willowdale, V.i.r.g.i.nia, Bayek explored the peaceful campus. Nothing was out of order. Not even a blade of grass. Birds were chirping, students were picnicking on the grass. It was your average university campus. Taken a seat next to a few unassuming students, Bayek introduced himself and started up a conversation to kill some time.

"Hehe, it was good to meet you Bayek. Good luck this year!" The small group ladies got up to leave.

The sounds of soldiers and vehicles could be heard in the distance as General Ross and his soldier rode up in pursuit of Bruce Banner.

"Ladies, I suggest you run far away from here, things might get a little dangerous." He said. Turning away, Bayek walked to the furthest tree and watched as Us Army pursued Bruce Banner. From a small, weak man, he transforms into a massive green monster.

"Beautiful.." Bayek muttered as he watched from the distance. Banner destroyed tanks, ate bullets, and crushed men by the dozens. It was a rather fast battle, Banner was chased off in the end while protecting the woman he loved, Betty Ross.

Observing the aftermath of the fight, the US Army struggle to collect themselves and retreat. Out of all the vehicles that left the university campus, Bayek tracked one and only one. An armored ambulance carrying the mangled body of Captain Emil Blonsky, Abomination. The ambulance approach a secure base and his body was transferred to a helicopter that flew to a secret facility.

"So this is where they're hiding the Serum, now how the f.u.c.k do I get in" Bayek took his time and looked around the perimeter of the facility and the patrol routes, memorizing the routes and shift changes.

"I can do this" Bayek took a deep breath and walked to the first gap in the patrol routes, then the second. It was like one big dance. Though, Bayek refrained from being too confident. Once at the door of the facility, he waited.

"Standard Common Access Card (CAC) reader, this shit is too easy" Bayek waited for the next patrol to hit their mark. In the army, soldiers usually patrolled in twos, aware of this from past experience, Bayek wasted no time and casual incapacitated two guards. Taking one of the soldiers CAC Bayek open the facility door and drug the two soldiers with him.

Shortly after his entry he found a storage closet and stashed the two soldiers. For decent measure, Bayek bound them in 550 Paracord. "That should do it"

Dressed in BDUs, he searched the building. It was pretty easy playing soldier. Further into the facility, he found the medical bay. General Ross, an older white man with snow-white hair, stood over the bed of Emil Blonsky. Blonsky was currently in a full-body cast with pins and rods through his body. General Ross stayed for a moment to receive Blonsky's medical report. When General Ross returned to his office, is when Bayek ambushed him, stealing his CAC.

5 hours later, Bayek stood in front of Grayburn College with a Polar c.h.e.s.t containing vials of replicated super-soldier serum, created during the Bio-tech enhancement program, stolen from General Ross.

"Excuse me." he got the attention of a middle-aged man, "Do you know where I can find Dr. Samuel Sterns?"

"Umm, I personally don't know. Though if you go in the building there should be a directory on the wall to the right." The middle-aged man replied, then continued on with his day.

As that middle-aged man said, Bayek found the directory and located Dr.Sterns' office. Dr. Samuel Sterns, also known as Mr.Blue is a scientist that collects and synthesis Bruce Banner's blood in hopes of finding a cure for Banner's Hulk. For months, Dr.Sterns and Banner have been in contact and collaborating on Hulk research. This is primarily why Bayek tracked him down. Bayek wanted Banner's hulk blood.

Knock Knock!

After a few moments of waiting, a balding white man in his forties came to the door. He wore black-framed glasses and a lab coat. "Can I help you?" he asked a bit annoyed

"I apologize for disturbing your work Doctor. I'm Dr. Bayek Siwa from CDC Special Division."

Dr.Sterns face loosened up and his eyes went slightly wider.

"I want to talk to you about your current animal purchases, the intervals in which they have been purchased and the increased number of animals. Can I come in?" Bayek asked

"Y-yes, of course," he replied, leading Bayek into his lab.

Locking the door behind himself. Bayek looked around the lab and decided just to shoot straight. "Where are the blood samples from Mr.Green?"

Boom, it was like time had stopped for Dr.Sterns, a million questions ran through his mind

"Relax, I'm not here to hurt you or bust you for anything Illegal. I just want half of what you synthesized from Mr. Green's blood samples. You give me this and I'll give one, get out of jail free card in the near future." Bayek tried to bargain

"What do you mean 'near future'?" Dr. Sterns asked

"Blood samples" Bayek answered

Sterns swallowed his saliva and led Bayek to a room full of Banner's synthesized blood. "This is good, let's pack it up. The faster I'm out of here, the more likely I am to save you in the future. " Bayek explained

For the next hour, Sterns and Bayek spent time carefully packing the blood samples. Unknown to Bayek, his face was being posted all over the US intelligence network. Top government officials wanted his head on a platter and the serum he stole recovered.

"Thank you, doctor. I'll be in touch. And remember, this is just between us." Bayek closed the back of a van left Sterns in the car garage of the college.
