Adventures Of Bayek: Through The Void And Beyond

Aaaahh! I let out a big yawn and stretched my arms towards sky, looking over to my right, I see the young Huntress holding her brother in her sleep. Her brother slept in peace, like the moment he closed his eyes, the world was back to normal.

The young huntress, however, didn't look so peaceful, the worries of the world were starting to eat away at her. And it was visible to the eye. Even in sleep, she looked mean and in pain. I let out an empathetic sigh. I chose to accept another life, my Goddess sent me here. But she and her brother were just dealt a bad hand.

Placing a hand on her shoulder, I gently shake her awake

"Katniss wake up. We have to go" Her eyelids flutter as she wakes and looks around.

"We saved you yesterday in the city, remember?"

She nods her head, and squints " My name is Hazel, and this my brother Benjamin, but I call him Benji" She whispered

"Well, Katniss sounds cooler. Come on, Benji can sleep a little longer" I reply, causing her to roll her eyes.

Once I managed to wake the other Truck up, we pulled of at the crack of dawn.

"So, where are headed?" Finn Radioed

"First stop, a music store. Then… the CDC"

"Why are we going to the CDC. Back at the station you said to us "Don't go to the CDC and Get the hell out of Atlanta."-Max

"Yeah, so what? I didn't want you to go to CDC and touch the shit I wanted. Now where going to the CDC get the things we need. And I know your confused about how we can rob the CDC if that's a safe zone. But, now not the time for that and you'll understand everything when we get there."

It was an easy road, most of the walkers probably grouped up and started a long march.

"Stop stop stop, right there , I need something from there" Hazel was pointing a store on the left side of the street.

"Sporting good's?" I ask her

"Yeah, this is a re-curve bow, I want a compound bow, and I want to teach my brother how to shoot. Besides, I need more arrows. And you might be able to find something you like." She explained

"You had me at compound bow, it sounds bad ass" I pull over to the side of the street, And we start shopping.

Hazel told me the differences between the bows and arrows. And how she used to compete in high school.

It sounded pretty cool, so gassing up a pickup truck, we took all the arrows we could haul, and I got a bow for myself. Who knows, it might come in handy.

"Grab a couple more bows, Hazel. Never know who we might meet out there."

Third Pov

Bayek and his team finally arrived at the CDC and when they got there, it was a ghost town. Dead bodies every where and walkers wobbling here and there

"Everyone's dead, how is this a safe zone" April asked

"It's actually dangerous as f.u.c.k, you never know when it might…go… boom" Bayek replied, making the explosion gesture with his hands.

Picking up the radio Bayek called to the other trucks, well the pickup didn't have a radio, that's why it was last. So, it can follow the leader.

" We came for the big trucks, called LMTVs. The armored Humvee's with 50 Cal mounts. And whatever supplies these people left on the front, we have plenty of time, let's just get it down by night fall."

And so, they did, Bayek showed everyone how to dismount and mount the 50 Cals and should them how to operate it along with any other weapons they weren't familiar with. When all of the new vehicles were in line, the were assigned people and cargo. Clearing out the swat trucks and moving everything to its perspective vehicle was breeze. Next was collect ammunition, Then Magazines, Medical supply, Water, and a shit ton of MREs.

Closer to the CDC building , was a Water Buffalo, a 400-gallon tank of water.

"Hey, let's attach this to one of the vehicle's" Mike called out

Noise wasn't really an issue considering, Hazel was the straggling walkers as target practice, teaching her brother how to shoot.

"Good stuff..." Finn replied, once the tank was hooked up, Bayek went for a little walk.

"Where are you going?' Benji asked

"On a scouting mission kid, take of your sister and the group while I'm gone" Bayek walked around the corner, towards Emory University hospital and Library. By the time he arrived the sun had started to set.

Back at the CDC…

"Hazel, Benji. Don't worry about the stragglers. Just come get in the vehicles. I'm sure Bayek will be back soon" Said Finn as he walked towards the siblings.

Just when Mike and Finn helped them into the back of the LMTV, a group of vehicles arrive behind them. Getting their weapons ready, everyone point their firearms in the direction of the new commers.

"Benji get behind" Hazel picked up the closest assault riffle in the vicinity, she knew a bow and arrow wouldn't cut it in this fight

In the newly arrived vehicles, Rick sat in the front seat looking at the weapons pointed at them.

"Let me talk to them, You and Carl stay here and don't make any sudden movements"

Rick slowly got out of the car. Daryl and Shane approached him in the street

"You think it's the army, getting ready to move out?" Shane asked

"I don't know, I can't see their uniforms with all of the light."

"Don't move! Stay where you are and Identify yourself!" Em Shouted

Rick and Shane looked at each other "Im Rick Grimes, and my partner Shane Walsh! King county's sheriff Department!"

"Rick Grimes?! The crazy f.u.c.k.i.n.g cowboy that rode a horse to a walk horde battle?" Mike shouted with an amused smile, Bayek had told them the story about Atlanta on the road, when they asked about the cowboy that saved the camp.

"Yes? That'll be me." He replied

Mike and Finn started to laugh, and everyone put their Firearms down. Walking over to Rick, Shane, Daryl. With amused smiles.

"What are the odds? I thought you people would have been dumb enough to stay by the quarry." Mike said

"We came here to get to safety" Rick replied looking at the two man.

"Well we haven't tried to get in, Bayek just wanted the things on the front lawn. But you lot can go give it a try"

Rick decided to take his chance, all he wanted was for his wife and kid to be safe.

"Just don't shoot, we'll take care of the walkers, just get your people up there" Finn instructed.

Bayek's people Helped, rick and his team get to the CDC doors safely, more walkers were coming, and everyone started to lose their shit.

"I see why Bayek, left with out those people"

"Just focus on protecting the for now, Use the blades and keep it quiet to by them time" April took the lead, Bringing a machete down on a walker's head

"You do realize that those people are screaming at each other, how quite do we really have to be?" Max asked

"Point taken."

Continuing to cut down walker's , the doors to the CDC eventually opened. And a blonde hair, middle aged man was standing inside with a weapon ready. Shocking everyone, who thought that all hope was lost.
