Ain't Your Regular Girlfriend

Chapter 64 - [64] TWITCHED.

"Hey!". I jumped and twist my ankle at the sight of the guy I've been sneaking around, standing right in front of me with his hands firmly on his waist. "Are you some kind of a ghost?".

He chuckled as he pushed his hair off his face. "Leaving already?". He smiled, his smile was broad like a teenager's. I wondered how old he might be and why he insisted on teaching in the same school he obviously knew I attended. I guess there's a lot we need to discuss. Doing so, shouldn't be a conversation between a student and a teacher but as friends or past acquaintances. I guess.

"How old are you exactly? ". I asked softly and pray he didn't hear.

"Sorry?".

That's a good sign. I grin. "Well, I came to give you my response to that camp stuff". I shrug at the uncertainty in my voice. Though I'm not certain about that decision at the same time I feel certainly sure. I am also aware that this conversation should have been discussed in the school not here by this time of the night!. Really Lara? Hah!. Though he doesn't seem bothered by it which tells me he wanted it too. Wanted it? Like... The conversation Durr.

"Well, so what have you decided? Guess it's a good one". He asked keenly waiting for my response. He clearly wanted me to go to this mysterious place. I can see it in his eyes, the eagerness to learn my response. Though he'd shove it and put it like he cared for all the students but f.u.c.k that!.

"F.u.c.k me!, I am going". I laugh mirthlessly.

"You don't seem so happy," he said, his lips twisted.

"Well, I am. I better start going back. It's getting late.". I said and tried moving but couldn't. It hurts doing so.

"You alright?". He asked with full concern in his voice. I breathe in deeply and steady my feet as if calming myself in a race field.

"F.u.c.k!". I sigh painfully. "My ankle, it hurts". I said softly. He quickly dropped down to his feet, looking closely at my feet. He looked up at me, his face expressionless as he takes my hands and place them both on his shoulders and focused his attention to my leg which has started to grow numb.

"This is really bad". He said. My heart raced from different angles. All stupid anxious thoughts started to flow in, flow out, and in. Will I be able to walk again?. Am I going to be a damned cripple? F.u.c.k!. Stuff like this has never happened to me and worst of it all was the thought of going to school on crutches.

" Is it that bad-bad like I won't be able to walk again?". I asked and felt him smile at a circ.u.mstance like this.

"It isn't that bad-bad". he replied teasingly. "I have uhm... ointment, that would help soothe the pains. Soon it will be all gone". He said softly and wrapped his hands around my waist and lifted me up.

"Where are you taking me!". I asked.

"To apply the ointment for you or don't you want the pain to stop?" He asked as if it was that 'okay' for someone to just wrap his hands around your waist and carry you just like that. (Hmm, maybe my mind has also started to grow numb alongside my feet)

"Oh". Was all that came out.
