Lovell felt a cold sensation wash over him as he opened his eyes. He found himself I a pitch-black room, but he could see himself clear as day. Lovell was confused and gripped his head, trying to make sense of what was going on.

"Lovell, please come back." Lovell heard a voice call out to him. He looked around to see where it was coming but could not see anyone.

"Who are you?" He called out; the voice repeated itself. Lovell began to panic, twisting and turning, searching to where the sound was coming from. "Lyshta! Where are and who are you?! Answer me!" Lovell screamed.

"No one can hear you, weakling."

Lovell turned around to see a person sitting in the air, grinning devilishly at him. "Who are you?"

"I am you, or rather, the you that was formed from the darkness fever and the one who is in control." His firm becoming clear, Lovell saw that he looked exactly like him. Lovell stepped back in fear and confusion. "You seem confused and afraid, let me tell you something." He drew close to Lovell's face. "Darkness will always—"

Dark Lovell's voice trailed off as he remembered something Morris told him. *Darkness' and light are two sides of the same coin, * Lovell closed his eyes, remembering everything that he has gone through. *Ulva, Morris, Gale, Lance, Scarlett, Zero, Zephyr, Fang, Luna, Kratos, Kyle, Hunter, Vail, Father and Ark. I will not give in to the darkness, but it will be a part of me. *

Dark Lovell stopped as he noticed Lovell smiling. "What are you smiling about, weakling!?"

Lovell looked him in the eyes, "That I am going to make you apart of me." He then grabbed his dark half and flung him away. "I might be weak, but I also know I have a strength that many might not have!"

Cries of rage bellowed from dark Lovell, "You are nothing but a spineless worm." He struck Lovell sending him flying; he gave chase before he could land. "You are the one who killed Morris after all, not Hunter or do you not remember!"

Lovell blocked his attack, "Of course I remember, but that does not justify my actions." Lovell scared at himself. "But know that he would have wanted no one to have known that!" He pushed his dark half away. "I might have caused his death, but that he still loved me, and that I would do anything to bring him back!"

Tears streamed down his face. "Look at you? You're a mess, no wonder he had to save you from your—"

Lovell lifted his head at him, tears falling from his face into the air. "I know that I was arrogant and a fool. Yet he gave me the light I needed!" Crashing his head into his other half.

Dark Lovell, staggered back, AS Lovell caught his breath. He looked at him. "And what light is that, huh? All I see is a scared little boy?"

Lovell shaking, closed his eyes, "Yes, I am a coward. I'm not as courageous as Zero or smart like Zephyr. I may not be free-spirited like Lance or strong as Gale, or kind like Scarlett, but I know one thing I am hopefully for the future!!"

Luna held Lovell's body as hard as she could as everyone readied to stick him. She opened her eyes to see the dark energy turn white and consume him in an instant. Lovell screamed as if he was in pain. The wall of fire diminished, letting Fang charge forward. The Ren-Ky jewel cracker, as a burst of light, came from Lovell. Luna blew back, as Fang's blade makes its way to Lovell's right shoulder, his trajectory aiming at Lovell's heart.

His blade stopped as the light dispersed from Lovell. His hand grabbing Fang's blade. The room felt still, as Lovell turned to Luna, his eyes soft and calm compared to what had just happened. Fang ripped his sword from Lovell's hand and strikes once more only to be foiled as Lovell flash stepped to Luna's side.

He drew in close, wrapping his arms around her as guards point their weapons at him. "I am so sorry that this happened Luna, please forgive me."

Luna felt his warm embrace, tears streamed down her face. "You—you came back," She croaked threw her tears, "I am so glad you came back. Lovell I—"

Her words cut short as he was taken away by Kratos and his men. "Lovell Quacey Krisnik, you are under arrest for attacking Lady Luna, Lord Gale, Lord Zero and King Vail."

Lovell turned to Vail then to Mama K. Her eyes in shock of what transpired, she slammed the floor with her staff. "Enough Lovell has beat the Darkness Fever, and that is plain as day to me and King Vail!"

Vail nodded, "Yes, Lovell, you might have lost control for that moment, but somehow you, out of all the odds, conquered the very thing everyone fears of contracting."

Kratos growled at the king, "Your majesty, he attacked—"

"Enough, my word is final! Release Lovell, the Ren-Ky of Balance!" the guards let Lovell go Kratos gripped sword tight as Lovell bowed. "Now, Lovell, how did you beat it?"

Lovell smiled a silly grin, "I just had hope, and followed it." Vail raised his brow. "It may seem strange, but it was like a light beaming threw the darkness that I—well—how can I explain this…"

Vail smiled; his face softened as he Watch Lovell think of the words. Lance jumped onto Lovell, laughing at the fact Lovell came back. Gale walks up to him, hitting him in the arm, while Zero kicks him in the shin, Zephyr laughing with Lance and at Lovell's re-actions. Scarlett grabbed his ear and yell at Livoell for scaring them. Vail glanced over at Mama k. she smiled at everything.

"You saw it, didn't you?"

Mama K glance over at him, "You mean the Ren-Ky Jewel of balance cracking?"

"Yes, that means Lovell is not balance, but quite possibly hope," Vail puzzled at the matter.

Mama K watched Lovell, "Yes, but what is the other jewel then? That is my question."

A soldier rushed in, covered in blood and severely wounded. "Sire, the Faremin forces are—" he coughed with blood coming out, "They are attacking from the south…" the soldier fell to the ground, dead.

Luna gasped, as Scarlett shielded her. Lovell and the others saw the realization of what was happening. Vail stood from his throne Lovell took one look and knew what to do. "Come on, guys we have to help; Luna stay here with my grandmother. She will keep you safe." He ran off with the others Kratos shortly behind.

She went to fallow, but Fang stopped her. "Do as he says, it's for your own safety." Lord vail came up behind her and grabbed her shoulder gently, as they watch the others run off to battle.
