Luna stared at them as she runs up to Lovell. She embraced him as tears streamed down her face. Fang sighed as he and the others walked over. Lovell had winced in pain as he moved.

"Luna, could you let me go?"

Luna shook her head, "No, you idiot. I thought you were dead when I saw the blade pierce you?"

Fang walked up to Lovell and touched his shoulder. "You were both brave and a kynroc."

Lovell smiled softly, placing his hand over his heart. "Yeah, me to…" Lovell looked over to see Scarlett hugging Hunter as she became overjoyed.

Zephyr smiled softly as she walked over to Lovell. "Are you going to be alright?"

Lovell nodded sheepishly, "Yeah don't worry, in a few days, I will be healed up and raring to go again." Lovell looked over to see Lance smiling as he wrapped his arm around Lovell. "Lance, that hurts."

Lance snicker as he pulled his weight onto Lovell. "Come on, man, this is great! We dealt a huge blow to the Faremin forces with your stunt. Besides, I think we can celebrate this victory!"

Lovell smiled as Gale and Zero walked over. "We're sorry for doubting you Lovell, its just that after the incident back in—"

Lovell raised his hand before Zero could finish. "I understand that you did not know what to think, and I would do the same. But as of now, let's take this we dissevered victory?"

Gale nodded as they helped Lovell to the broken tower. Lance and Hunter began to chat as Scarlett joined in. Luna smiling as she and Zephyr talked about what their plans were for the next day. Lovell smiled as he could see the hope brimming around him.

They began to celebrate over the night, Lovell enjoyed the moment. Then turned to Hunter, Lovell walked over to him and touched his shoulder.

"Hunter, can we speak in private?"

Hunter looked up at Lovell; he could see Lovell's expression was severe. HE nodded and followed Lovell to the top of the tower.

Lovell leaned on the broken wall looking over the horizon. "Hunter, I have somethings to tell you and ask of you before dawn rises?"

Hunter walked up beside him, concerned about what Lovell was saying. "What is it you want to ask?"

Lovell smiled softly, "I just want to say is that I am glad you have joins everyone here and that you get to journey with them."

Hunter raised his brow at Lovell. "Lovell, what are you saying?"

Lovell's soft expression turned stone cold. "Hunter, I want you to protect Luna in my stead?"

Hunter glanced at Lovell, "Lovell? What's going on? Why are you asking me this? You're the Ren-Ky of balance?"

Lovell shook his head as he pulled out the jewel. The stone had separated into two. Hunter stared at the gems, "These two stones represent the darkness of life and the light of hope. I want you to give Fang the one of darkness and you to have the one that I would have taken."

Hunter stared at Lovell as he was handed to stones. Hunter looked down at them then back to Lovell. "Lovell, I still don't understand why you are doing this?"

Lovell smiled as particles of light began to appear off his body. Hunter stepped back as he watches Lovell begin to disappear. "I am truly sorry, Hunter, but your final blow did kill me. You see, theyans can either die on the spot after the killing blow has been dealt, or they fade away after three days. But it's always the same effect. Our bodies disappear into the flow of magic, and I don't have the heart to tell everyone. I know they might hate you, but tell them I am sorry for lying to them about—this?"

Hunter began to well up as Lovells became transparent. "Lovell, you a.s.s, this is not supposed to happen!? What of Luna? what do you think she is going to do?"

Lovell closed his eyes as tears stream down. "Please tell her I am sorry that I couldn't be there for her and that she succeeds on her mission…"

Lovell's body disappeared completely as Luna walked in. Her eye filled with confusion as Hunter turned around, holding the two Ren-Ky jewels.

Fang came up behind her, "Luna, what's wrong?" Fang looked up to see Hunter crying. "Hunter, what is going on?"

Hunter began to break down, "I am sorry, I am so, so, sorry, but my last attack killed Lovell." Hunter handed over the black jewel to Fang. "Lovell wanted you to have this. It's the new Ren-Ky jewel of life. To be more precise, the representation of the darkness of life."

Fang held the jewel then turned to Hunter. "and the other one?"

"The light of hope…Lovell left this one for me…" Hunter could not compose himself anymore as he fell to his knees. Luna broke down as well as the other rushed over to see what was going on.

Fang explained everything; the other started to break down, feeling that their victory was now hollow.
