An Innocent Heart Longing For Love

There was a saying that 'Love is blind!'

It was damn true, Even if he would stab me with a knife right through my heart, I would gladly accept it. But watching him, leaving me behind unattended and ignored hurts the worst.

Am I that unworthy? I spent all my youth seeking to cherish this one person love. In the end, Am I not even close to worth a dollar in his hands?

Haven't I put enough effort to make this relationship last? Won't he even tend his ears to hear me? Even a passerby would have given a chance to explain. Tears trickled down her eyes and landed shining in her swollen cheek.

She dreamily gazed back at the onlookers, She found Naia stepped forward to run to her but was blocked by the guards. Anna passed her a weak smile assuring her that she was fine.

In the end, her eyes met the man whose eyes were red and his lips were trembling. For a minute, she saw herself in his demeanor. The way he resembled right now was the same as the way she was affected by Shane.

She wondered, 'Is this how terrible looking I am right now? How sad, I pity myself!!! I am sorry, Jacob! It's already done. There is no going back. Everything between us should end for the best for both of us. I hope that our paths should never cross again! Never ever again!!!'

Anna's bodyguard stepped forward to direct her to get in the waiting car. He had no idea that Jacob never knew that Anna was a Married woman. It was rather a s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e scene for the hard-hearted guard to digest it, he felt sorry for the young man. If he knew already, he would not be too harsh on him from the very beginning.

He pitied him, 'What's done was done. There was no way to revert back the mistakes. The man should learn to move on.'

Once the guard made sure that Anna was safely buckled up, he ordered the squad captain to check the security footage and he also directed him to tend Anna's friends' safety. Once done, he walked to the driver seat to drive Anna back home.

Jacob who was scrutinizing Anna in a stupor, slumped back to the earth when her car disappeared out of sight and he questioned dreamily and his eyes were still locked at the direction where her car drove away, "Is it true?"

Aaliyah who stood next to him understood at once that he still could not believe that Anna was married and so she replied instantly, "That's what I heard."

Jacob shook his head disapproving himself, 'What have I done?'

His eyes at last lay on the short girl stood next to him for so long and he spoke in a feeble tone owing to hear a commitment from Aaliyah, "Just take good care of her."

Aaliyah's eyes instantly shot up and she tried to cover up her slight flaw by just nodding. 'Does he know who I am? How did he see through me? How much he knew about us and how long?' a stream of questions flow through her mind.

Once he heard Aaliyah's reassurance, He nodded back to her meaningfully. She might have walked out of the place but it was impossible for her to walk out of his heart. He unknowingly has fallen into the deep ocean of love, the possibility to overcome lay very low.

How could he bear to watch the love of his life being mistreated by a complete unworthy jerk? He was angst to protect her from everything around her but how can he protect her from herself. She was voluntarily throwing herself in the foot of a man to be kicked aside miserably, how can he help it?

Anna laid back silently in the lonely house guarded by several armed men. She had closed her eyes and it looked like she was sleeping but at the corner of her eyes water trickled out forcing her to open the eyelid to let it pass.

'Is this a personalized prison to keep me safe, What on earth is happening to me? Why anyone would want to kill me this much?'

She sat up and looked outside the window, "Why can't I be free and go anywhere I want? Is this too much to ask for?"

As time ticked by, She got down from the bed and sat on the cold ground but it didn't affect her even a tiny bit, she was actually too numb to feel it. As minutes turn into hours, she laid down in a fetal position and her swollen cheek rested in the cold floor. It, however, soothed her in a strange manner.

Anna asked loudly, "What will make you people stop chasing me? What on earth! you all want from me?"

She slowly shifted her body so that her entire back would touch the cold ground as she stared blankly at the ceiling a slow giggle slipped off her lips, "Oh! You all want to see me so badly right? Fine! I am coming out, I will hunt you down and make you feel restless as I am right now."
