An Innocent Heart Longing For Love

Anna woke up in the new environment where the wall were overflowed with pictures of Shane and the display cabinet loaded with his trophies.

Where ever she turned, she could notice a manly presence in every nooks and corner. It was the first time for her to sleep in the bed that once belonged to Shane.

With a tinge of shyness, she clung to the blanket and enjoyed the comfy bed. 'Oh!!! This bed is so comfortable. Oh! my lazy bones, rest well!'

While Anna was having a good time sleeping, the environment in the living room was raised into a massive commotion. As time slipped by, Anna heard more voices coming from outside and the phone in the living room kept ringing.

She hurried up to get dressed and ran to the living room to investigate.

Shane's father, Charlie Torizo was the first person to notice Anna rushing to the living room. He immediately called her and instructed her to sit next to them, "Anna, You are awake! Just come here and watch this!"

Anna wondered, 'What's now?! I just returned to my home country, Won't they give me a break?'

"Uncle! Is there any issue?" Anna strolled closer to her Aunt and Uncle who were seated in front of the TV and she silently occupied the empty seat next to them.

"Yes, Somebody has leaked the video taken from security footage concerning Shane slapping you the other day!"

Charlie's face showed his discontent towards his son. The issue was tolling the entire Corporation reputation. Charlie played one of the news channels, The headline claimed that the heir of Torizo corporation slapped a girl in the night club.

In the side panel, the video of Shane slapping Anna was playing over and over again.

One of the reporters probed, "The girl identity is unknown. Yet we have a clear piece of evidence that the heir of Torizo corporation physically assaulting a girl in the night club. The human commission is ready to press charges against Mr. Shane Torizo and also we are waiting for further information."

The second reporter criticized, "It becomes quite often nowadays for rich heir bullying girls. I wonder what their parents have a say in this case. Are they going to blindly say that it was not their son or it was all a mistake?"

The first reporter replied back, "About that, we have tried to contact Mr.Charlie Torizo, the father of the convict but even after the nth time of the call there was still no response."

The second reporter answered, "Ahhh! Such a shame for the admired man like Mr. Charlie Torizo to go through this because of his own son.

Look at that girl. Ohh... It was a massive hit... She has no idea of what happened to her. It was so clear that Shane hit the girl out of no reason and giving no time for the girl to protect herself."

The first reporter queried, "Was there any news about that girl yet? Everyone wonder who that girl was and why she has been assaulted? She most definitely can press charges."

Second reported, "About the girl! Everyone was worried sick of what happened to her. If they fail to find the girl than the situation would become even worse for Torizo Corporation."

Charlie switched the channel to the business news, the news reader claimed, "Due to the new viral scandal about Torizo Corporation in every social media, there was a heavy fall in the prices of the stocks for the Torizo corporation.

As there was a possibility of Shane to be held as a convict, there was even more possibility of the fall of the Torizo corporation."

Charlie switched off the TV and throw the remote control to the side. "Such a mess! One small mistake made out of emotional urge led to this disastrous state."

Anna persuaded, "Uncle! May I make a statement that might settle the issues and Shane will not be criticized like this."

"No!" Charlie yelled back. He took a deep breath to ease the tension and answered Anna politely, "That would only make the situation go worse."

"Worse?!" How could that be worse, it would settle the issue once for all.

"If the reporter knows that you are Shane's wife then that will bring more focus on us."

Luyisa who sat next to them silently whispered, "I better look for someone who look alike Shane and try to convert the video as a false accusation."

"Is that possible to find a person just like Shane?" Anna mumbled.

" We need to... That was the only possible way to shut everything forever." Charlie replied.

When they were talking in all seriousness. Edward Symonds dashed into the living room with a boiling rage. "Is this how my daughter was treated in this house?

Luyisa! I thought so highly of you. Yet, you are another parasite leeching into the Symonds family. I should have listened to Lulu. Though she never liked Anna, she never treated my daughter this badly.

I am so disappointed in all of you, I am here to take my daughter with me. For the sake of the family ties, I won't press charges but do pray hard that I should not change my mind."

Luyisa stood in humiliation before Edward, She knew very well that, although Edward never paid much attention to Anna, He still held a fatherly attachment to Anna.

Anna tried to persuade her father, "Father! It was not like that, it was a mistake made by me. Shane actually acted out in a surge of emotion. He was a protective man and he paid all his attention to me, He never once mistreated me."
