An Innocent Heart Longing For Love

Jacob stood last in his tracks, and his expression showed up the agony he was going through at present.

'Now my father knows too! I have so less time left with me. How could I fix everything that I have started within this short time span?'

He sat back in the sofa and clasped both his hands tight together and started looking for an easy way to get a solution at once for all the problems. He listed all the information in his mind that he observed so far.

'First, an influential source was attacking Anna in every angle and their identity was complicated. With just a useless video, they were able to tarnish the girl's imagine even before she stepped onto the spotlight.

Second, her new family was no good and ready to push all the blame on Anna in order to save their Corporation. Would this family protect Anna until the end?

Third, Anna will never leave Shane on her own accord because... because she was blindly in love with him and she will readily sacrifice herself to him. How pathetic!

I have to move her out of this horrific place even if she was unwilling. But how can I do that?'

Just then, a hot news flashed in the television, "BMF Corporation would possibly take over the second major shareholder position in Symonds Corporation."

Jacob smirked in satisfaction when the idea formed in his mind, "There! I got the string to pull now."

With a determined voice, he called his secretary, "I need Symonds family residential phone number."

Once he received the number, he walked to his bedroom to place a call to Anna's stepmother, Lulu.

Half past seven in the morning, Symonds Corporation board meeting commenced.

"Mr. Edward! It was time for you to announce the percentage of shares that you hold in this Corporation." Clayton demanded with his usual tone of smugness.

Lulu who was sitting next to Edward smirked at Clayton's dictatorial call, 'let me see, how long you are going to command like that?'

Edward opened a file and pushed it in front of everyone, and his personal secretary addressed on behalf of him, "Symonds family in total holds Twenty Eight percentage of shares.

[Mr. Edward Symonds holds ten percent shares.

Miss Anna holds eight percent shares.

Madam Lulu is present here on behalf of the heir and heiress of Symonds family and she holds another ten percent shares.] "

One of the board members remarked, "It looks like Mr. Edward Symonds still holds his position as a second major shareholder in our corporation. But what about Mr. Jacob Shaw, why does he not yet arrive? It was impolite of him to make everyone wait for him."

Lulu interrupted the board member, "Men like him are bound to be busy, I hope he would join us shortly. Mr. Clayton! Can you please elaborate our new project launch status?"

Clayton didn't expect Lulu to be this bold, and to be exact, this was her first time attaining the meeting. As he could not avoid her quest, he elaborated the details to the board members.

Anna wore huge sunglasses and a shawl to conceal her face, and she looked even more elegant in her business attire. She occupied the seat beside Edward thinking quietly, 'Strange! Why is Lulu sweet talk about our challenger?'

Luyisa was out of sight and she waited in the room patiently for Anna to return.

Twenty minutes passed from the time that the board meeting commenced. Clayton's personal assistant opened and held the door of the meeting room for the masked man to enter and his Secretary tagged along with him.

He looked elegant and his hair was glossy, His silver mask added a charm to his charisma. He sat right opposite to Anna. Lulu smiled radiantly at the masked man and so did Edward Symonds.

Jacob looked straight at Anna's eyes and stated, "My apologies to make you all wait."

Though his words meant it for all, his eyes were fixated at Anna making her feel that he was apologizing especially to her. 'What is your problem, Man!'

Anna averted her gaze and looked at the chart in the meeting room whereas Lulu's smile brightened even more, 'Feeding this little sl*t has at last paid the price.'

Jacob pushed a doc.u.ment to Edward not averting his gaze from Anna. Edward immediately took the doc.u.ment and read through the content quickly.

It was actually a contract stating that Jacob would transfer seventeen percent of the share amount to Edward as bridal money to marry Anna. If they fail, He would take back his shares and also they need to pay a hefty sum as compensation.

Anna stared at the doc.u.ment that Edward was hastily signing up and returning to Jacob. 'What is happening?'

Clayton enquired at once, "What was happening?"

Jacob smiled at Clayton and pushed a file for him to read, it indicated that Jacob has transferred all his shares to Edward Symonds. Clayton put the file down and stared at Jacob with a sullen face.

The secretary who stood next to Jacob spoke on behalf of Jacob, "The BMF Corporation has made a business deal with Edward Symonds. In order to commence it at once, we have transferred the seventeen percent of shares to Mr. Edward Symonds."

One of the board members exclaimed, "So in total Edward Symonds would posses forty-five percent of shares which is over Clayton shares by three percent."

Another man claimed, "This means that Mr.Edward would take over the company from today onward. Wow... It was totally unexpected."

Anna blinked and looked at the three main men in the room. Clayton's face remained still neutral. 'What does Godfather is thinking? Why is he quiet?'

At last, she faced the man who sat in front of her with a self-satisfied cast, and his orbs never once left her face. Anna was filled with rage as he continued to stare at her. Her hands twitched to grab the bottle in front of her and throw it at him.

'What's wrong with you? You irritating and an annoying man!'
