An Innocent Heart Longing For Love

Clayton's heart fluttered when he recalled the day when he first held Anna as an infant in his hands, and also he was the first one to welcome Anna with a warm embrace in the hospital.

He still remembered the day when Edward went overseas handing over the crucial meeting to Kathy to handle all alone. The stress was too high for a pregnant woman to manage and on those days, Clayton followed her as if a shadow.

In the end, too much of stress on Kathy made her water broke before the date of her marked delivery date and as an inexperienced man, Clayton shivered from head to toe.

He carried Kathy in haste to the emergency room while she quivered in labor pain. That was the most torturous moment in his life and then followed by a heavenly experience when he first embraced the tiny baby in his arms.

Back to the present, Clayton smiled at Anna in adoration while Luyisa stared at him as if she encountered an alien creature standing in front of her.

Luyisa held her breath and leaned in close to study Clayton's face, 'What was that expression on his face? Is it, what was it, actually?'

As she closed in to study the expression on his face, he slowly retrieved his adoring gaze on Anna and returned a deathly glare at Luyisa. She instantly took a step back, "Hi Clayton! Ahem!!! Good to see you. Anna! Meet Mr. Clayton."

When Anna heard Luyisa's voice, she immediately turned and noticed a silver-haired man standing in the room accompanying them.

Anna's eyes twinkled as she smiled at him in admiration, "Good to see you, Uncle!"

"Uncle?! It is inappropriate to call your business partners as your uncle at their first meet." Clayton earlier adoration and smile was all gone, and currently, he maintained an equilibrium expression.

Luyisa's eyebrows shot up, 'You color-changing chameleon. Who was adoringly eyeing Anna a moment before.'

"I am sorry!" Anna pouted, she didn't expect Clayton to be harsh to her that too in their first time meeting.

Looking at the girl pouting like a kid made his heart melt instantly, "There! It was nothing!!! Anyway, this was your first time officially indulging in a Business Corporation, and you are still young and have no experience. People are bound to make mistakes; you will learn about everything eventually. Don't you worry."

Anna's once extinguished smile returned lighting up her little face. Luyisa's mouth hung wide open, 'Is he trying to appease the girl, even Kathy never got this privilege from him. You truly are a color-changing chameleon.'

She closed her hanging mouth and interrupted them before Anna act out in impulse and make it easy for Clayton to find out that she already informed Anna about him, "Mr. Clayton, We need to talk! As you know well that we are running out of time for the board meeting, Could you please spare some time for a private talk."

Clayton gave one more of a cold stare to Luyisa, and he turned back to face Anna with a soft smile and spoke in a soothing voice, "Miss Anna! Why don't you take a look out of the Corporation infrastructure? My assistant would accompany you to look around."

"Thank you!" Anna nodded in agreement and followed Clayton's assistant to empty the room for Clayton and Luyisa to have a proper talk.

"Did you tell Anna about me?" the question was straight to the point.

Luyisa immediately shook her head, "No!"

"What is that brat still doing in New York? Why didn't you make him release an online statement already?" Clayton imposed a hidden threat to Luyisa.

"Shane was passed out drunk. We have no choice but to wait for him to sober up to release a pubic statement."

"Drunk?! Irresponsible degrade." Clayton wore a grim face.

Morning Seven o clock at Jacob's VIP business suite.

Jacob stayed awake all night. He dared not to close his eyes even for a minute although his whole body was exhausted. His whole hacker team was still working on to shut down the entire issue.

At four o clock in the morning, the reports came out from the team that the video was released on New York and the IP address pointed to the owner who was well acquainted with Shane.

The first thought occurred to him was, 'Is he planned to abandon Anna by pushing all the blame on her head?'

As time passed by, his suspicion grew stronger, 'A simple statement from Shane would have resolved the issue altogether. Four hours have passed already, why did the Torizo family didn't take any actions so far.'

Although Jacob was able to take down the main source account and delete the source file, the video was still popping up then and there with no break.

It was evident that a bigger force was pulling strings behind the scene. When one of Jacob's hacker tried to hack past the security system of the new source, his laptop screen went blank and he could not operate the system ever again.

Like a demon, Jacob rose up from his chair and his usual cool temper was nowhere in sight. He gazed at his secretary and questioned him, "Did the Symonds Corporation's board meeting preponed?"

The secretary stood next to him with the utmost due respect, "Yes, Mr.CEO! The time schedule was changed as per your request. The meeting would commence in half an hour time."

"Good!" When Jacob took a footstep, His secretary interrupted once more, "Mr.Jacob! Miss Esther called and asked me to inform you that the chairman has learned everything and he was not happy with your recent progress. She also asked you to call her immediately once you receive the message."
