Assassin Initiate

North Atlantic, January 1752.

The sea was stretching far away. Sun was high in the sky. There were a group of islands, partially covered in snow. At one of the island, a young man, of early twenties, running along the branches of trees, cliffs and more. Winter clothing made up of leather.The man was Shay Patric Cormac. An Irish featured face, with a rather long hair. While running along the trees, Shay stopped at one branch, and looked down at the ground. A hooded man could be seen there walking.

"Now, let's see how you will dodge this time." Shay said with a smile on his face.

Suddenly, Shay jumped towards him, with having his palms open to catch him off-guard. But, the man dodged and sidestepped at the critical moment like he had eyes on back of his head. Losing his target, Shay directly fell down. He got up and looked toward the man with hostility, the man took stance as to begin attacking. After a moment of silence,

*Bwahahaha* *Ha ha ha*

both broke out into laughter. The hooded man took off his hood and a late twenties face revealed itself. square shaped, a rough looking face, with a little beard on it and a Shaved head. Similar to Shay, he was also wearing winter attire. Liam O'Brien. A brother like friend of Shay.

"Admit it Liam, I nearly had you there." Shay said first.

"There's a fundamental difference between 'nearly had' and 'had' and anyway, nearly counts for nothing. As for that, it was just.....luck" Liam said.

"I make my own luck, Liam."

"Heh, you have been saying that for years, but have nothing to back it up. No wealth, nothing. Or have you been spending it to get out of your troubles." Liam said jokingly.

"As you know Liam, trouble just follows me around."

Then suddenly,

*Boom* *Bang*

sounds of canons firing and gunshots can be heard from across the other side of the island.

"Let's go, Chevalier might need us." Liam said to Shay.

They both then started to move towards the place where the sound came from. Making there way through the snowy landscape. Climbing the small cliffs, jumping from them, running along the trees etc. They soon reached a small camp, where few soldiers were tending to the wounds of other soldiers. A man with dark winter clothing and in middle ages was seen to be yelling and cursing, apparently quite angry,

"Damn those two bastards, where the f.u.c.k did they run off to when they are needed here?? Just let them come here, then I will....." The man soon noticed Shay's and Liam's arrival, he then directly went towards them and shouted at them,

" WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU TWO??"

"We were out hunting. What happened here?" Shay said to the man, where as Liam went to check the conditions of soldiers.

"My men were attacked by those English sea dogs!" The man said with angry tone.

"Why Captain Joseph, couldn't you fight them all by yourself, just like you always told us?" Shay said mockingly. Hearing this the man looked at Shay and started to slowly walk towards him.

"It is Captain Louis-Joseph Gauthier, Chevalier de La Verendrye. And you are dreaming if you think that any training can make you into a proper Assassin. Do you even know what being an Assassin means? It means being responsible for an ancient tradition. It means obeying your mentor unquestionably. How else will we ensure the freedom of human race?"

The last of the sentence was said while nearly shouting at Shay's face. But, Shay retorted,

"Those are some pretty big words Chevalier, but I don't feel free at the moment."

Hearing this, the man, Chevalier's anger reached its peak, and said,

"Then, feel educated then. urgh", and punched Shay in the face.

A fight broke out between these two. Although only punches were used, the two didn't held back at all. Shay was bleeding from his lips. Chevalier was not good either, he had a bruise on his left cheek. Although those two wanted to fight again, Liam came between them and pulled them apart and said,

"Gentlemen, stop. We don't have time to fight between ourselves, we have a common enemy and I think he is close."

Chevalier said to it, "My men were attacked by the Royal Navy and were forced to flee. And what's worse, the smugglers we were intended to trade with were taken prisoner. All because of your damn hunting. If only you were present with them, it might not have possible for them to get captured."

"Shay and I will go free those smugglers, you just tend to the wounded." Liam said seeing the situation going out of hand.

Hearing it, Chevalier just harrumphed and went back to help the wounded. Liam went to one of the boxes at the side of a tent and took out two swords, one long and one short. He walked upto Shay and gave both of those to him.

"Here, take these, you will need them."

Shay just silently accepted them. Swinging them in air a few times, "These are quite good", then holstered at his h.i.p.s. Seeing Shay ready, Liam said to him,

"Let's go. An English camp was seen at west side of the Island. A ship was also docked there. My guess is the ship is meant to bring the smugglers away. Just remember your training and you will be able to work it out somehow. Also, don't try to take on enemies more than you can handle." He seriously advised some more while they were on the way. At last they reached the camp. It looked like a hastily made camp. One side opening towards the sea where a ship can be seen. The camp had a part in the jungle and was surrounded by tall enough grass to hide. There were a total of 5 enemies visible from the tree Shay and Liam were standing. Both just exchanged glances and then understood each others intention. Both wore their hoods and then directly rushed at the camp. Liam went from the ground while Shay was going through the trees. Reaching the camp, Shay directly jumped at one of the enemy who was at the edge of camp and directly pushed his short sword in his neck. Due to having some body fall on him, the man directly fell and got his neck impaled. The man was wearing a standard uniform of English soldiers, a red jacket, a black pant with boots. And the standard weapon, their flintlock.

Watching Shay successfully assassinate one, Liam directly rushed at the other soldier who was near the first one. Liam directly pushed him in the tall grass and killed him by sliing his throat to prevent any sound leaking. Two other soldiers were by the fireplace talking and one more just entered the open tent. Again Shay climbed at the top and jumped at both of them, successfully killing them. While Liam finished the last one.

"Now where are the smugglers??" Liam said while coming out of the tent. Shay directly went to the other tent and opened it, there he saw two men in common local dressing. He guessed these must be the so called smugglers. They had their hands and legs tied with a mouth gag. After freeing them, He learned from them that two of their partners are already on that ship.

Listening to the info, Liam said,

"That means, soldiers must come for the other two. We can kill them here so that we have to deal with others only."

And as expected, four more soldiers came and were killed successfully. Liam and Shay directly went towards the ship and saw few more soldiers onboard. "Why do the English sh.i.p.s have this many soldiers on their sh.i.p.s?" Shay said to himself.

"Let's just finish this soon, we have other things to do." Shay said to Liam.

Both directly jumped in the water and reached the ship. climbing from each of the sides, They killed the remaining four by whistling while hanging from the ship and killing him slicing his throat and puling his body to the sea.

Chevalier later came with his men and boarded the ship. Shay directly said to Chevalier,

"Hey, now that I think about it, this ship is now ownerless as we just killed the captain. Why don't I take it as mine?"

Chevalier thought about it and said,

"If you want this garbage ship, you can have it.I know you are the second person in us who have a little bit knowledge about sea travels." All while observing the sh.i.p.s details.

"Garbage or not, it's still a ship, and what's more, my own. Just a layer of paint and some new canons. It will become a beauty." Shay said while appreciating the ship.

"So, what's the name of this ship." Liam said while coming over.

"Morrigan"
