Between The Worlds

Both of them had different faces as they arrived at the source of the explosion. The elf beauty was glowing with excitement as her smile was growing wider and wider. If she were in the town, then she definitely would stole the spotlight.

However, Raphel's face was totally opposite. He was shivering as he looked at the source of the loud explosion. Sweat began flowing down his cheeks as he heard Elaine next words...

"Dungeon..."

In the middle of the jungle, the enormous gates appeared as if gates leading to another world! Those gates were the portal to the dungeon which was filled with monsters, but also obviously with rewards and so on...

"E-Elaine... didn't you tell me dungeon's entrance is in the city?"

"Yes, but this entrance leads to only one room."

"One room?"

"Listen, Raphel."

Seeing that Raphel doesn't even know about dungeons caused Elaine to sigh with a slight annoyance as she began telling everything important about dungeons.

"Dungeons are composed of hundreds floors! If one goes to dungeon using the city entrance, then one can go through several floors. But those floors also consist of hidden rooms."

"Then... it's entrance to this very hidden room?"

"Correct. It's one time dungeon room and we are lucky to be first ones to conquer it!"

The rewards might be special as well. Who knows what might appear as a reward, but also as a boss! Thus, this dungeon is also very special!

"So it's special dungeon! Special means more dangerous! Let's run, Elaine!"

Elaine just shoot the look of annoyance as she began moving towards the gates. For her, dungeons were her last hope, thus, there was no way she would just leave it like that.

As for Raphel, the sight of Elaine back moving further and further away was terrifying. Such loud explosion probably already had alarmed a lot of bears and other monsters, thus, if he just waits for her alone, then he is going to fight an army sooner or later!

"I-I...."

Then dungeons... what exactly hides behind those gates? The cave with boss and reward c.h.e.s.t? It has to be like that since it's hidden room! As he thought about that, Raphel decided to chase after Elaine.

'Hidden room... it should be easy for her...'

Elaine didn't look worried at all. That's why, bracing himself, Raphel decided to enter the special dungeon with her!

As they approached the gates, Elaine smiled secretly as she felt that Raphel is too easy to read. Nevertheless, the dungeon is more important, thus, the playfulness of hers quickly disappeared as she touched the gates.

Then, saying something in strange language as if reciting from deeps of her mind...

As her words ended, the gates shook and opened by itself revealing the blue portal circling as if trying to devour the world!

Raphel obviously was already trembling. Dungeons seemed dangerous and even portal was as if it wanted to devour him alive...

"E-Elaine... it''s not your first time, right?"

"It's not!"

After she responded, Elaine bravely went forward as she let the portal swallow her. Seeing this, Raphel felt like in this fantasy world, everything is possible... Healing broken arms in hours, then teleporting to other places...

'Goddamn, I still prefer my calm life on Earth!'

As he entered the dungeon, Raphel immediately bumped into Elaine. Opening his eyes, he suddenly noticed her looking at him teasingly as she caught his hand before he could fall...

"I knew you would come here."

"..."

Raphel avoided her eyes as he looked at this special dungeon insides. The floor, walls and ceiling were covered by magnificent tiles in the dark red color. It was as if they appeared in the corridor with only one way... forward!

While Raphel was looking around feeling as if he made wrong decision coming here, Elaine summoned bright light in this dark themed corridor. Taking out her bow, the elf was fully prepared to go forward.

And so, she went forward without waiting for Raphel. Elaine already knew that he is going to catch up to her as he is big coward!

"E-E-Elaine... just look at those walls... isn't this actually pretty well made dungeon? I think we have made a wrong choice!"

She rolled her eyes at him...

"We already cannot leave this dungeon, Raphel."

Raphel fainted.
