Between The Worlds

Only one person could pass through space distortion and it was all because Raphel still hadn't properly contacted his energy core...

'If Elaine would drink it... then she probably could save us both...'

Weak! Raphel was truly weak and as Elaine said, he suck at everything... While he was blaming himself for his stupid choice, Elaine once again screamed with pain...

The troll's club hit her stomach accurately and sent her flying as she smashed into a wall. Then, as if feeling that he has to end it already, troll began charge at the elf beauty without any restraints...

"STOP!"

Raphel shouted, but the boss didn't stop even though he could understand Raphel as he used elven language. The boss had already checked Raphel thoroughly and its instincts told him Raphel is trash compared to the elf.

But..

"I have opened the c.h.e.s.t, you dogshit!"

Those words made the boss stop as it turned around only to see the empty c.h.e.s.t! It became pertified for a whole minute, then...

Aaaarghhhhhh!

It began roaring madly as if it ascended into madness... The troll's eyes shone with dangerous, red light as it changed directions, now, charging at Raphel... Its steps were loud leaving the holes as trail...

Whole dungeon shook at its madness! And so, Raphel's heart as he saw the monster going straight at him!

'Should I use space distortion?'

Raphel naturally thought as he is coward who is scared of pain. The fall, then battle with the bears caused his fear towards the pain to grow even stronger....

However...

'Elaine, you are my only happiness!'

Raphel remembered his words as he looked at the Elaine who was coughing huge amount of blood. She looked extremaly weak, compared to her strong form in the jungle. The elf beauty didn't have to save him, and even if it was on whim, she indeed had saved him...

Healing his wounds, giving food or l.a.p pillow... those very the only good things that happened in this jungle and those things all happened because of Elaine...

"Aaaaaaarghhhh!"

As if copying the troll's roar, Raphel didn't summon the space distortion, but began charging at the troll! Snakeman tried to slid through its enormous legs in order to get closer to Elaine, but the troll had both reactions and instincts higher than current Raphel, thus, it wasn't hard to slam its club into him...

"Blurgh!"

Feeling his whole body flying, Raphel cried both inwardly and externally. The young man already felt most of his bones breaking and insides turning upside down. But the pain wasn't as painful as the pain from the fall... That's why...

"Aaaaaaaaa..."

He did his best to stand up, and as he did, the troll already appeared in front of him. As snakeman could only see its legs and feel the wind pressure coming from the already swinging arm, Raphel moved forward.

Slam!

"Blurgh!"

The club sent him flying once more, but since Raphel slightly moved forward, the location of his land is going to be exactly before Elaine... Thanks to that, he can save her...

"Arghhhhh!"

As he landed next to her, Raphel roared once more in order to bring out the remaining bits of strength before troll could catch up to them...

Boom! Raphel summoned the space distortion as he barely stood up. Since this system window told him, that he can use it once, then he believed he can use it with instinct alone. Luckily, it worked as he thought...

But reality was truly too harsh as Raphel lost the strength in his legs and fell onto his knees. Breathing roughly, he extended his arms and began pushing Elaine towards the space distortion.

As for space distortion, it was as if cracks appeared in the air. Those cracks began releasing lights with various colors creating quite mysterious scene.

The location wasn't that too far as Raphel tried to summon it in front of them as closely as possible. Then, Elaine spoke, albeit, without any strength...

"Ra..phel..."

Snakeman didn't answer her as he used his every strength to roll her into space distortion. Inwardly, he felt bad that he can not personally throw her there, but he knew his strength and body very well! Thus, pushing her forward, he also spoke with everything he had...

"Than..ks..."

Elaine quickly disappeared as her body touched the cracks. Then, as quickly as Elaine, the cracks also disappeared covering the dungeon in darkness...

As for Elaine, when she realized that the space distortion disappeared and Raphel didn't come out, she felt as if something clenched her heart tightly and such strong and sad feeling caused her to lose consciousness as her body rested in the sunshine.

As for Raphel, he also lost consciousness, but this time, he felt rather fulfilled...

Inside his mind, Raphel strongly believed that if he dies here, he will awaken in his human body on Earth ending this circle of teleportations...
