Between The Worlds

The beast was problem. However, he already joined the guild, thus, getting easy one should be enough.

'Is there easy one anyway...'

As he left the Huntai City with his emblem on his c.h.e.s.t, Raphel immediately went on tree and didn't dare to move on the ground. Jumping from tree to tree, he was slowly going towards the jungle.

'If I get beast, then I am going to do easy jobs. I heard that there is someone who collects spoils after hunting in the dungeon!'

The dungeon itself sounds very scary, but if he enters it with his wild division leader and other members, then it's all good!

As he thought about his future plans, Raphel was on the bound between normal forest and jungle. After an hour of hesitation, he bravely passed through the border still on the tree though.

He planned to go all the way on the trees which was really slow and hard. If he was with Elaine, then there was no way she would let him do that! Rather, she would just leave him on her journey!

'Bears won't reach me here!'

Bears were the only monsters in his mind! He didn't even think about other monsters as he went forward. Soon, the loud explosion rang out. The sound was coming from mountain far ahead!

"Hmm?"

The best thing was that monsters reacted to this sound and began running there. Seeing all those big bugs, bears and even wild boars made Raphel to have huge headache.

'Thanks God I am smart!'

Raphel didn't know that the snake on his torso was protecting him from all those monsters releasing some kind of technique. He simply thought that being high on the tree was enough... Then, Raphel's coward eyes noticed a target perfect for him!

Small bear! It was young bear who is at least four years old!

"Hmpf!"

Descending the tree bravely holding the jungle vine, Raphel knew that young bear is alone since he couldn't catch up with a.d.u.l.t bears! As to why they madly went towards mountain, he didn't care at all!

The young bear flinched lightly at the sight of sudden snakeman. Nevertheless, the small bear released a small growl and its eyes bore hostility. He was doing his beast to imitate his strong father!

Raphel seeing this didn't react. The young bear was looking very cute with its small legs and face. It was all black with small grey stain on its forehead.

'I can win! No! I must win!'

Both of them looked at each other for a while, then...

"Haaaaaaa!"

Raphel released wild shout as he sent his punch forward! The young bear also jumped as it released its little paw!

Both attacks connected quickly and as quickly retreated! As Raphel looked at his hand...

"..."

Blood began flowing down as he had deep cuts! As for young bear, it was fine as if he didn't feel any pain from Raphel's attack! Looking proudly, the young bear growled!

One: Zero for me!

"AH?!"

Even Raphel who has no pride got angry at such words! As to how he could understand him, it was all mystery! Maybe it was instinct of snakeman!

Raphel's eyes flared with anger. He immediately bent his body as he shot forward! Now, it wasn't the simple exchange of attacks! They were releasing punch after punch madly as if lives were on the stake!

Then, the young bear suddenly jumped very high making Raphel to lose balance. As he fell, the young bear jumped on his c.h.e.s.t and began attacking even more madly. Using it's four legs, he was attacking head and stomach of the snakeman!

"Goddamn!"

Of course Raphel was somehow defending against those attacks as he extended his two arms. Then, the bear tried to bite him, but Raphel used his elbow to throw him away.

"Heh!"

The young bear couldn't bite him! Raphel felt as if he won this battle already thanks to that! Snakeman knew very well that their mouths are their most dangerous weapon! Even thought he had body full of deep cuts..

However, the young bear growled once more! His eyes stating obvious truth!

Thirty-one: sixteen for me!

"You- you! You were counting?!"

Raphel got very surprised! During their fight, he focused everything on the battle while the young bear could still count! It made him to shiver a little as he thought about that... Then, the young bear took several steps back.

Then, he narrowed his eyes with already were looking quite dangerous for Raphel! But, soon, the mysterious change appeared! Raphel seeing this fell on his b.u.t.t immediately as he shouted...

"B-bear!"

The eyes of bear appeared above the young bear. Red eyes showing madness and its hostility... As they were very narrowed, it made them look as if demon's... Raphel felt like fainting already!

Both he and young bear didn't know about this technique. In fact, all the young bear wanted was to charge at Raphel with everything he got, thus, he focused deeply...

The only one who knew what it was going on was the snake on Raphel's shoulder with had eyes shining with surprise. But it couldn't look too much as Raphel already began running away. However...

He suddenly fell... the reason for that was of course the snake on his shoulder...

As he turned around, the young bear already was very close to him, thus, he had to fight! Taking position similar to human bear, Raphel thought inwardly...

'If this palm strike helps me here, then I am going to visit this dojo of yours, human bear!'

Raphel planned to use palm strike the human bear had shown him!
