Black Remnant

Tanti remembered the days when they are all together, working as one and following Bahura as their leader but now... he couldn't believe that this will be the end of everything. All he wanted to do was to save more lives instead of sending them to their deaths. To him, it was the right thing to do but in the end, all actions have consequences and it led him to this situation.

Tanti stood up with all he's got and readied what he has left. "If only I could turn back time... I should have joined my brother but what done is done. Instead of regret, I should do what I must do. BLACK FIST AURA! RANK 8! Before I die, I'll show you the power of the Head of the Black State!" A force that looks like black wind pushed everything away from him. Even with one hand and body with poison, he still could use art aura he created and show them that he's superior all over the Black State.

Both of Rarna and Nou couldn't believe what they saw. 'Rank 8?! Since when did he breakthrough Rank 7 of his Aura?!' Looking at Nou, they're thinking the same. They won't survive if they both clash with him in his current state.

Swallowing his saliva, "He must be using Rank 8 of his aura but that leaves him with only one hand and a body that's about to collapse. With his status, he could only use one attack and that means, one of us might die." Nou knew the possibilities. In front of them, they saw death.

Rarna doesn't have a choice but to use what's left of him as well. "BLACK STING AURA! RANK 6!" Unlike the power of Tanti, his aura is powerful but not enough to push the black wind of Tanti. He's getting pushed back by Tanti's intimidation aura alone. 'Shit! How can he still have this much Qi!'

Nou didn't waste his time and released his aura as well, "BLACK FOG AURA! RANK 6!" This time, two auras combined against Tanti is still getting pushed back. 'How is this even possible! The gap between our cultivation isn't that far but how is he releasing this too much qi!' Even Nou couldn't stop worrying.

"GAAAAH! ROAAAAR!" They looked behind and there, they found Fang, alive. "BLACK HOWL AURA! RANK 6!"

"Just in time!" Nou's confidence started to improve. Knowing that their aura is now pushing Tanti back. Strongest all over Black State maybe but he's still alone, three Peak Grandmasters against a King.

Nou disappeared out of nowhere, "It's time! BLACK FOG THOUSAND SHADOWS!" Suddenly, the sky darkened not because of the clouds but by Nou's illusions. He duplicated himself countlessly above Tanti. It might only be illusions or real, Tanti wouldn't know as this is the first time he saw this attack.

*SWOOOOSH SWOOOOSH!* Those duplicates moved towards him swiftly slashing Tanti's body endlessly but not a single one attack pierced right through his defense. Those illusions are real as every single one of his duplicates hits so swift and hard.

"BLACK HOWL, DRAGON'S ROAR!" A thunderous roar echoed throughout the whole city destroying every building nearby causing Tanti to get pushed back by one step but... "ACK!" Blood splattered to the ground, Tanti's Aura is getting weakened upon defending from these attacks.

"BLACK STING SEA SERPENT!" The endless slashes didn't stop making Tanti stood his ground to defend himself and that's the best chance for Rarna to end the battle.

*ZWOOOOOOSH!* Rarna threw his spear so fast that it broke his shoulder. The speed of his spear is way too fast leaving a shockwave at its wake. Is it enough to end Tanti's life?

*BAAAAAAAM!* Right through the center of Tanti's c.h.e.s.t leaving a hole in his body.

Blood on his mouth, on his c.h.e.s.t, he took everything they threw at him but he stood his ground.

'He's still alive after that?! What the hell?!' Tanti's will to live amazes Rarna but the silence from the last attack scares him.

*SIGH* A long sigh of Tanti broke the silence "BLACK FIST DEMON'S RAGE!"

*SWOOOOOOSH!* Their eyes couldn't believe it but Tanti disappeared in front of them and...

"Eh?" In front of Rarna was Tanti's fist about to blow his head off but... *BOOOOOOOM!* Instinctively, he used his left arm to defend himself and to avoid death as his right arm didn't work because his right shoulder is broken. His arm shattered and he was sent flying hitting walls over and over again that bones all over his body scrambled.

Next to Tanti is Fang who recently realized what just happened. Tanti's body doesn't have Qi Armor nor Qi weapon and he's just using Qi force with his attack. About to Roar close up, Fang knew that using another roar as close as Tanti, it could shatter Tanti's body but "ROA- ACK?!" The hand of Tanti swiftly hit Fang's mouth *BOOOOOOM!* shattering his teeth and the force was so powerful that his head hit the ground creating a tremor nailing his head to the ground.

Nou, who's currently not moving, afraid for his life, this was a nightmare for him. Tears flowed through his eyes as death himself appeared to take his life.

"Sir! Get away from him!" Hundreds of cultivators from the three clans showed up worried for their clan leaders. They knew that Nou's next and his life now is on the line like the clan leaders that appear to be almost dead.

"GYAAAAAH!* They rushed towards Tanti hoping they could buy enough time for Nou to escape but before they could even reach Tanti, he appeared in front of Nou with his right ready and about to land another attack and...

Breathing gets harder as the air passage through his lungs thickened. 'It's the end for me... People seem to be forgetting why the Creator even saved humanity... My children...' Life is about to leave him.

He couldn't move anymore.

Tanti froze. His consciousness faded.

Nou, witnessing the power of Tanti, he passed out.

The battle has finally ended.

The night seems endless and everything happened so fast. The city once has fallen and now, it's about to have the same fate again as before. Two great leaders couldn't defend the city against its enemies, the earth once again tasted the blood of the people who supposed to be working together as one but in the end, betrayal won.

Tanti knew it wouldn't end so well from the start but he hoped and prayed that he could at least save his people but even that, he couldn't do.

"FATHER! FA... THER...." Sha woke up after the last breath of his father. All she could see was the hole in his father's c.h.e.s.t. Shouting in grief, Sha's heart was filled with anger and rage.

Ai witnessed the fall of the great Tanti. He wanted to save Sha but with how he is now, he knew he couldn't do anything. Against the Clan Leaders and hundreds of their members, there's no way he could slip Sha out of their sight. So he waited for the right time. They maybe have said to kill every single one of the survivors but Ai knew they will do it at the right time. A way to show people their power and authority.

Loud cheer at the center of the city echoed throughout the place. Mostly those who fought the siege stayed at the city and somehow they are excited and loud as Rarna has an announcement. Rarna, still recovering from the fight, with the help of the combined alchemists from the Fog Clan and Healers as well, they were able to save Fang and Rarna from death.

*CHEERS* Rarna, even with only one arm left and an injured shoulder, stepped forward raising his spear that made Tanti bleed. The people once again cheered roaring like a thunderstorm.

*BAAAM* And they stopped after Rarna hit the floor using the bottom of the spear signaling the people to stop from making noise.

Getting ready to speak, "We have one of the offsprings of Tanti, Sha, and the other survivors who defended the city. *COUGH* Tomorrow will be the day to end the legacy of the Black Fist Clan and everyone will be able to witness the death of those who opposed us, *COUGH* by beheading!" And once again, they cheered shouting together.

"They deserve it!"

"Kill that bitch! Kill her!"

Ai hiding, 'F.u.c.k.i.n.g sick bastards! Animals... how could they sleep at night after all of this... even planning to behead a girl in front of everyone...' Ai couldn't take this. He knew that war could lead to these kinds of situations but this is the first time he experienced it.

After spying for days before the announcement, he found where Sha is being held. As the siege already ended, their security is too light as they're not expecting any reinforcements from the Black Fist Clan against them. His plan of saving her might be easy but he has to wait for the right time with fewer people guarding the dungeon.

He waited for the night to come and by stealing a pair of their uniform, he was able to disguise himself. 'It's time... I hope it's not too late.'
