Chapter 32 - incarcerous.

After lunch, the three of us sat in the living room doing particularly nothing. I thought I would die of boredom. I wished I could call Leah but my phone had been taken away. The only good thing the evil vamp had done was getting my clothes from my apartment. I was now certain that he was determined in keeping me here for a long time.

Samuel was on his phone, probably using Instagram because I noticed him double tap his screen every 20 seconds but Nicholas' eyes were glued to the main door.

The hallway that lead to the living room was still dimly lit and I remembered the time I had entered the house; about how I had felt.

Like someone had been breathing down my neck.

In a span of four hours I had tried thrice to escape with very little hope that I would succeed. I tried escaping through the main door; dumb move I know. It took the evil vamp less than two seconds to come rushing down the second floor and the next moment I realised I was being strangled. The next time, I tried escaping through the kitchen door but then Samuel, who was in the backyard, caught me. I pretended that I was just wandering about but his expression gave away that he knew it was my attempt at fleeing.

For the last one, I thought I would jump through the window in Samuel room, which happened to be on the second floor. I was almost aboutto, but then I realised it was a very stupid idea because first, I wasn't the very sporty kinda person so I just couldn't gather the courage to jump out of the window and second, even if I had managed to, I would end up with two or three broken bones or perhaps even more.

So I just gave up.

At least that's what they think.

I was pulled out of my thoughts when both the vampires got up abruptly and sauntered towards the hallway that lead to the main door.

"Alohomora!" came out a masculine voice just as the main door flung open and in stormed a rather pissed looking guy.

"You're here finally, Peter. Let's get this done with quickly." The evil vamp let out a relieved sigh and got up from the couch.

The guy who I now knew was Peter gave a curt nod and started scanning the room. His eyes landed on me and I noticed his fierce expression turned into a soft one.

"She's the witch?"

Samuel was the one who answered, "We are waiting for you to confirm. Let's hope she is."

"Take her to my room."

"Um-" I began but was interrupted when Nicholas grabbed my arms and started dragging me, following Peter.

"Hey! Hey! I am talking to you! Stop dragging me! I can walk okay?!" I tried to free my arms but as usual he held them with iron grip and thus I failed.

I was taken to an odd looking dusty room, candles placed everywhere and old manuscripts, bottles with colourful liquids filled the shelves. I even spotted a crystal ball, taking the whole scene with much anticipation.

"So you are the witch Samuel was talking about- Ouch!" I began with an astonished voice but was dumped rather harshly on a dusty chair by the evil vamp.

"Incarcerous," muttered Peter and out of nowhere two ropes appeared around my wrist, holding me firmly bound to the chair.

"What- what are you doing?" The panic began to rush in. How at all do you confirm whether a person is a witch or not?

He pulled out a transparent ball from a drawer and dipped it in a clear solution placed on one of the shelves, grabbing another chair he sat facing me. The bad vamp and Samuel stood on either side of Peter, their gaze fixed on me.

"Okay, I'm freaking out a bit…" I laughed nervously but everyone else seemed too serious. "Actually I'm completely freaking out." I tried to free the bounds off my hands but failed.

Peter spoke with a clear voice, "Hey, listen to me." His blue eyes we're fixed on me and I stopped struggling. "Calm down."

"Calm down? You expect me to calm down. You tie me up with freaking ropes and surround me with murdering gazes and I should calm down?" The panic reached it's peak inside of me. This guy had to be kidding.

He sighed and clasped his hands together. "Can't we gag her?" said Nicholas in a frustated tone and I almost wished I could bang him on the wall.

"No, Nick. We need her to talk." replied Peter in an unexpectedly calm voice.

"Remove these ropes right now! Remove them!" The agitation in my voice didn't shake his poised composure.

"Hey listen," He began and one of his hands rested on mine which was enclosed in a fist. "You can trust me. You know you can." As he said those words the panic I felt faded away completely. The next second I knew I was calm and quiet. Completely serene.

"What did you do to her?" asked Samuel who sounded as surprised as I did.

"Did you cast a spell on her to calm her down?" Nicholas too seemed eager to know what happened.

"No I didn't. She just knows she can trust me. Don't you, Diana?" He asked me and I nodded, "Yes, I know. "
