Blossoming Flowers

Jiang Yingyue was walking on the ground floor of the building. Song Liwei had just introduced her to the secretary at the front desk, and many of the artists that were walking in and out of the headquarters were surprised to see this young man being personally led by Song Liwei.

These artists were not aware of the relationship between Han Qingshan and Jiang Yingyue; neither were they aware of the insinuated relationship between them. All they thought was that it was a new talent in the company, a talent with outstanding background since she could make even Song Liwei show her around.

Just as they were on their way back towards the elevator leading to Han Qingshan's office, a melodious and very pleasant voice sounded from behind.

"Assistant Song, long time no see." Hearing the voice, a somewhat stiff smile appeared on Song Liwei's face as he turned around and greeted the woman that was walking towards them.

Jiang Yingyue also turned around to look at the woman. The woman was rather petite. Although she was wearing high heels, she was still half a head shorter than Jiang Yingyue, but her appearance was so cute and adorable that any man would have an urge to protect her.

When seeing her, Jiang Yingyue frowned. Although she was not a big fan of the entertainment industry, she knew that this person was Yu Xiulan, an internationally renowned actress.

"This is a new junior?" She asked with a friendly voice, while looking at Jiang Yingyue with her big amiable eyes, an enigmatic smile on her lips, and all in all, a hospitable atmosphere around her.

Although everything about her, from her looks to her pleasant sounding voice, said that she was friendly, Jiang Yingyue could not help but frown. There was something fake about her.

Although Jiang Yingyue had only just started to study psychology, it was a subject she had found interesting for a very long time, and she had read a large number of books on the subject.

She had also spent much time observing other people, not to mention she was a woman herself. She had her own female instincts, and these were telling her that the woman in front of her was as fake as a snake.

However, Jiang Yingyue was aware of the tough situation that the company was currently facing, and she could not afford to insult one of the few A-listing celebrities that had stayed, so she reached out her hand.

"Miss Yu is mistaken," Jiang Yingyue said with her gentle voice. "I am not a new talent that the company has contracted. I am a temporary assistant for Han Qingshan."

Hearing the fact that she truly did not refer to him as Young Master Shan was enough to make Yu Xiulan clench her fists slightly in jealousy, but her face never once changed expression.

"So you are a new assistant!" she exclaimed as if she was shocked to hear this. "Such a handsome face and you do not wish to debut? That is surely a waste of good looks," she joked. A playful smile was on her lips, but Jiang Yingyue just smiled politely in return, causing Yu Xiulan to feel slightly upset.

She had never tried to tease and joke with another male before, but in order to get closer to Han Qingshan, she was willing to do so with this person.

"Are you heading for Young Master Shan's office?" Yu Xiulan asked, and Jiang Yingyue nodded her head, wanting to get away from this woman fast, but unfortunately it was not that simple.

"We are," Song Liwei answered, feeling that although Jiang Yingyue had been very serious before, she had at least spoken with the different employees of the corporation, but the moment she came into contact with this celebrity, she was suddenly a lot less outspoken and not even smiling as much. Was it just his imagination?

Without thinking about it anymore, Song Liwei gestured for Yu Xiulan and her manager to follow them into the elevator.

Throughout the whole time, Yu Xiulan tried her best to converse with Jiang Yingyue. But while Jiang Yingyue was polite in her answers and friendly when speaking, everyone could feel that there was some sort of tension in the air.

Yu Xiulan was feeling uncomfortable. She had complete faith in her own appearance and every man she usually spoke to would fall head over heels for her, but this young boy was clearly unaffected.

As they reached the top floor, the four people went towards the office. Song Liwei knocked on the door, and after hearing an affirming sound from within, he opened it and led Jiang Yingyue and Yu Xiulan inside, followed by the manager.

When they entered, they found that Han Qingshan was standing next to the floor-to-ceiling windows and was in the middle of a phone call, so all of them quieted down, no one saying a single word.

Han Qingshan raised his eyebrows when he saw that it was not only Jiang Yingyue who had appeared but also Yu Xiulan, and even more surprised was he when he saw how close Yu Xiulan was standing next to Jiang Yingyue, clearly trying to get her attention.

Yu Xiulan was not really interested in seducing Jiang Yingyue, and she had prepared to discard him when they came into the office. But she had felt inferior all through the time after joining up with them, as Jiang Yingyue had not shown any interest in her, and now, even when they were in front of Han Qingshan, she still put all her focus on Jiang Yingyue.
