Blossoming Flowers

Chapter 92 - Italian Cuisine

Han Qingshan had done nothing to stop the rumors, and although many had expected him to take some sort of action, no one had done anything; both the Han Corporation and Imperial World had been completely silent on the matter.

Was this a tacit way of approving of the rumors? Was Han Qingshan really gay, and this kid was his lover?

Everyone felt that they had suddenly found some sort of unspeakable secret. They truly wished to share it, but no one dared to do so.

When they walked down the street, Han Qingshan kept holding Jiang Yingyue's hand and kept bringing her with him towards the restaurant.

When they arrived, they were met by a waiter who instantly greeted Han Qingshan with a deep bow. He was dressed in a suit and had an apron wrapped around his lower body. He seemed very professional and posh, his uniform was definitely not cheap, and the entrance even had two guards standing in front of it, ensuring that only the most prominent people could enter.

Jiang Yingyue would never be able to enter on her own. The only reason she was capable of entering right now was Han Qingshan, and she knew it. But as a foodie, she was extremely excited about getting good food.

Seeing her almost salivating, Han Qingshan was laughing out loud and took her arm to guide her after the waiter, into the restaurant itself.

They walked through the first floor of the restaurant where many tables were placed, and all of these tables were occupied. They were led towards the middle of the room where a magnificent set of stairs led up to the floors above.

They walked up the stairs and found themselves in a long hallway. Doors were on both sides of the hallway, and they were led into a room. Jiang Yingyue almost had stars in her eyes as she looked at the lavish room that was decorated in a European Victorian style.

It was somewhat garish, so it was a bit overdone. The chairs were made in the image of thrones, and the table was made from oak wood and carved with intricate designs.

A chandelier hung from the ceiling, clearly made from crystals, and even more overwhelming were the paintings of nobles hanging on the walls.

Seeing this, Jiang Yingyue wondered how anyone would be able to eat a proper meal in such settings. She was used to a much more minimalistic style, but at the same time, it did have some charm.

Jiang Yingyue was led over to one of the throne-like chairs. Han Qingshan pulled it out for her, led her to sit down, and pushed it back under her.

He was the best gentleman that he could be right now, and Jiang Yingyue could not help but feel spoiled. A sweet smile was on her lips, and her eyes glistened with happiness.

Seeing her this happy, Han Qingshan just wanted to provide her with anything and everything that might keep this expression on her face.

He found that he was addicted to her smile, addicted to her happiness. It was like a drug making him float on cloud nine; he was simply incapable of controlling it, and all he wanted was to see her happy by his side forever.

When they sat down at the table, Han Qingshan gestured for the waiter who brought two sets of menus, handing them over to Han Qingshan and Jiang Yingyue.

"Order whatever you want," Han Qingshan said when looking at the menu himself. "If you want to sample a few different things, then I would suggest you to order a few different dishes. You do not have to finish all of them, just try as many as you please."

There was a big difference between Chinese and Italian cuisine. When one ate Chinese, they would order a wide variety of dishes, and share these dishes with each other while sampling them all. When one had Italian, one would order one plate of food and enjoy that one dish.

Looking at the dishes, Jiang Yingyue was lost. All of them were introduced with a small description of what they consisted of, but the majority of them were nothing like what she had expected.

"I thought Italian food only consisted of pasta and pizza," Jiang Yingyue mumbled, feeling enlightened.

There were soups, bread, pasta, risottos, fish, meat, and vegetable dishes. The names of the dishes were written in Italian, so she had no idea what was what. Fortunately, there were small introductions in their own language.

In the end, she was completely lost, and could only go with something she recognized.

"It is a three-course meal," Han Qingshan said. "So I would suggest you order a bread or soup dish for an appetizer. A meat, fish, or pasta dish for mains, and obviously one of the sweet dishes for dessert."

Seeing this, she could only pick something she was used to, and in the end, she picked a minestrone soup for an appetizer, a carbonara for mains, and tiramisu for dessert.

Seeing that she had picked these dishes, Han Qingshan ordered bruschetta as his appetizer, a spaghetti ai frutti di mare, and finally some panna cotta for dessert.

After accepting the orders, the waiter instantly left the room and allowed for Jiang Yingyue and Han Qingshan to talk in private, just the two of them.

But just as Jiang Yingyue was about to open up the conversation, Han Qingshan's phone rang.

An impatient expression could be seen on his face, but he still picked up. "I'll be back shortly," he said to Jiang Yingyue before heading out of the room and into the hallway to answer the phone call.
